TAURUS (APR 20-MAY 20) Listen, it’s not your fault – we just happen to be living in an Octavia Butler novel these days, and especially this month. May brings more unexpected events, instability, and changes. Uranus moves across the Earth axis all month long. Venus entered Aries on the 2nd and immediately lined up with Uranus, sparking your creative juices. By the 4th the Sun in your sign catches up to Uranus in Taurus for 5 days of global shenanigans. If your birthday falls in this window you are channeling chaos and change and wanting liberation. Mercury in Gemini turns retrograde on the 10th for three weeks of
weirdness. Since Mercury rules linear Gemini, linear processes will go sideways – technology, time, traffic, and communication. You will need to trust your intuition in a very real way. Jupiter enters Aries also on the 10th, lining up with Uranus and bringing more bombast to the chaos, I’m afraid. Stay calm. The Jupiter -Uranus effect can also bring unexpected opportunities. Then the Full Flower Moon occurs night of May 15th right around midnight, a full moon in Scorpio and total lunar eclipse. Oh jeez. Mars in Pisces will be on top of Neptune and the Taurus Sun and Scorpio Moon make an exact angle to Saturn in Aquarius. Go to bed and stay there for a few days! Or go on a meditation retreat. The Mars Neptune effect will generate confusion and the Saturn effect will make for some seriousness. It won’t be easy. By the 20th Mercury retrograde crosses paths with the Sun as the sun enters Gemini, and then it slips into late Taurus on the 22nd. Again, stay very close to your intuition over those days. Linear, rational process just won’t be effective. Mars enters Aries on the 24th and spends the rest of May paired up with Jupiter, both in an angle to Uranus. You will get a lot accomplished but watch out for bossiness. Venus squares Pluto and you recommit to something important. The month ends with a new moon in Gemini on the 30th. A writing retreat might be in order.
GEMINI (MAY 21-JUNE 20) Remember what I said last month about cultivating equanimity? This month, you will really need it. Uranus spends all month sitting on the Earth axis, for one thing, continuing the overwhelming feeling of uncertainty and instability. And then there is more! Venus enters Aries on the 2nd and made a quick pass over Uranus, stimulating your creative self. By the 4th the Taurus Sun starts moving
across Uranus, so you can expect the world to be particularly nuts. Your ruling planet turns retrograde on the 10th – and in Gemini, no less. Ugh. Back up that hard drive! Jupiter also enters Aries on the 10th and immediately makes an angle to Uranus – this could add a lot more anger to already volatile people, so stay away from conflict. Midnight on the 15th brings us a Scorpio full moon and total lunar eclipse with big angles to Saturn, while Mars joins up with Pisces. You may not be a happy camper. My advice is to deal with the stress by going dancing or jumping in the ocean. The Sun enters your sign on the 20th, while Mercury retrograde moves across it just as Mercury retrogrades into late Taurus. Watch for miscommunication and perhaps revelation from 20th-22nd. Mars enters Aries on the 24th and spends the rest of the month conjunct Jupiter and lined up with Uranus. That is a beautiful aspect for supporting your creative and liberatory activities, but watch out for feistiness. By the 25th Venus in Aries squares Pluto for some renegotiation of commitments. Then the month ends with a new moon in Gemini on the 30th. Use it to generate ideas and plans.
CANCER (JUNE 21- JULY 21) This is just a season of weirdness- what can I say? Uranus spends all month crossing the Earth axis, so the global tumult and uncertainty will continue and even intensify. Deep breaths! Use the Venus- Uranus combination at the start of May to stimulate your creative juices. The Taurus Sun catches up to Uranus for a few days on the 4th, so expect to be agitated and to want some freedom. Mercury turns retrograde in Gemini on the 10th, so tune into your deep intuition and don’t be
surprised if communication goes a tad sideways. Jupiter enters Aries on the 10th and gets into it with Uranus, so expect that people will be quick to anger. Feelings will run high around the full moon in Scorpio on the15th which is also a total lunar eclipse. This moon has major Saturn aspects adding a dose of heaviness and even frustration to our generally agitated state. Hold tight through the Sun-Mercury retrograde transit on the 20th, when plans and communication and technology could go completely haywire. Mars enters Aries on the 24th and pairs up with Jupiter for the rest of the month. This is an interesting combination and usually very productive. That they are in fiery Aries and making an angle to Uranus creates some volatility. Make sure you protect your sensitive Cancerian skin! The month ends with a new moon in Gemini on the 30th, excellent for intuitive visioning.
LEO (JUL 22-AUG 21) As I wrote last month, April and May are sh-tkickers. Buckle up. Uranus spends all month quite exactly on the Earth axis, so uncertainty and surprising events and reversals and and and …are the norm. The month starts with a quick pass of Venus in an angle to Uranus, so pay attention to your creative vision. But then on the 4th the Taurus Sun catches up to Uranus for a good few days of craziness
for the planet. Then on the 10th Mercury in Gemini turns retrograde. Oof! Gemini isn’t an easy sign for Mercury retrograde, so expect tech problems, travel delays etc. Jupiter also enters Aries on the 10th, immediately lining up with Uranus and exaggerating the tumult and throwing more volatility into the mix. The Scorpio full moon and lunar eclipse fall on the 15th along with major Saturn aspects. Your Leonine fire might feel a tad dimmed as you struggle with work demands and familial obligations. Deep breaths. The Sun crosses paths with Mercury retrograde as it enters Gemini on the 20th, exaggerating Mercury retrograde’s effects. Back up that hard drive. Mars enters Aries on the 24th and joins up with Jupiter for the rest fo the month. This could make you productive and effective but remember that Uranus is in the mix too—people are crazed and easily angered. May ends with a Gemini new moon on the 30th, good for intuitive process and writing.
VIRGO (AUG 22- SEPT 21) I warned you that April and May would be extremely stressful and weird, and well, what can I say? Uranus is parked on the Earth axis all month and the sense of uncertainty, unexpected events, and world trauma continues…You need to stay grounded and use the help of Venus and Uranus at the start of May to nurture your creative side. But starting on the 4th things feel very intense and crazy as the Taurus Sun catches up to Uranus. External events are knocking you for a loop, and it’s hard feeling out of control. Mercury in Gemini turns retrograde on the 10th, and although this astrologer loves the
dreaminess of Mercury retrograde, its pass in Gemini can be especially difficult for linear things like technology, dates and times, travel, and traffic. Expect a certain amount of aggravation—Mercury is your ruling planet and you have a special relationship with Gemini. Jupiter also enters on the 10th, making an angle to Uranus which will amplify feistiness, although it should mitigate your sense of overwhelm and give you some purpose. Then the Scorpio full moon and total lunar eclipse falls on the 15th with heavy Saturn aspects. You will feel the stress of responsibility, but use the Mars Neptune conjunction occurring at the same time to project some healing and/or creative energy. Mercury retrograde crosses paths with the Sun as the Sun enters Gemini on the 20th. Mars enters Aries on the 24th and moves in tandem with Jupiter for the rest of the month, making you purposeful but easily angered, so watch your temper. The month ends with a new moon in Gemini on the 30th . As long as you can dive into the Mercury retrograde dreamtime you will gain a lot of insight and information.
LIBRA (SEPT 22-OCT21) Tis the season of crazy, what can I say? Uranus is parked on the Earth axis all month long, so your job is to suspend any expectation that things will make sense. We are all subject to the winds of chaos and change right now. Use the quick angle of Venus and Uranus at the start of the month to hone into your values of connection and relatedness. By the 4th the Taurus Sun catches up to Uranus for a good few days of global upset. Mercury in Gemini turns retrograde on the 10th, and this retrograde might be
particularly hard in terms of tech issues and planning glitches, but it will be very rich in terms of information and revelation. It’s the dreamtime, honey, so go with it. Jupiter also enters your opposite sign of Aries on the 10th, exaggerating Uranus’ effects but also helping us all be less overwhelmed. The full moon in Scorpio and total lunar eclipse occur on the 15th, so I have no words to describe the intensity of this lunation especially since it lines up with Saturn. Things will feel a bit grim, I’m sorry to say. Keep your loved ones close and pray a lot. Then Mercury retrograde crosses paths with the Sun right as the Sun enters Gemini on the 20th—yeah, revelations abound, but back up that hard drive. Mars enters Aries on the 24th and pairs up with Jupiter for the rest of the month. This is nice and purposeful and you will likely accomplish a lot, but remember that they are in aspect to Uranus so things will shift and change. Aries can be willful and even belligerent so watch out for conflict. The month ends with a new moon in Gemini on the 30th. Try to approach this new moon with inner work and deep reflection a la Mercury retrograde and you will gain tremendous insight about new directions.
SCORPIO (OCT 22-NOV 21) This is a big month for the planet and a big one for you too! It’s a mess, just sayin’. Uranus, in your opposite sign of Taurus, parks itself on the Earth axis all month long, making people crazed and upping the chaos and uncertainty for everyone. You will have to work at equanimity this month. Starting on May 4th for a few days the Taurus Sun catches up to Uranus and really exaggerates this
influence. On May 10th Mercury turns retrograde in Gemini, and so this Mercury retrograde will express itself by messing with very Gemini-like linear processes of time and travel and technology. Jupiter also enters Aries on the 10th, which will free up some energy and make you more purposeful, but keep in mind that it aspects Uranus and will amplify the unexpected. Then… (drumroll please)… the Scorpio full moon and total lunar eclipse fall near midnight on the 15th in exact aspect to Saturn. You might want to just go to bed for a week– you might be a deeply emotional, intuitive, freaked -out mess on this lunation! Mars in Pisces also catches up to Neptune on this full moon so everyone ‘s feelings are running big big big. Mercury retrograde crosses paths with the Sun just as the Sun enters Gemini on the 20th, so expect revelation. Mars enters Aries on the 24th and spends the rest of the month paired up with Jupiter, releasing a great deal of directed, effective energy, but people will be testy. May ends with a nice new moon in Gemini on the 30th. Dig deeply into your intuition!
SAGITTARIUS (NOV 22- DEC 21) This is another helluva month. Uranus spends all of May on top of the Earth axis, so the reversals and chaos are not stopping anytime soon. In fact, starting on the 4th the Tauris Sun catches up to Uranus for a few days of global sturm und drang. Better get used to drama, because we have a solid month of it! On May 10th Mercury in Gemini turns retrograde, which will wreak some havoc on linear Gemini-like things such as travel, time, and technology. It is also a great time for intuitive knowing and
the dreamtime so please go with the flow of that and try not to be aggravated by the little things. Jupiter enters Aries also on the 10th and lines up with Uranus, so although you will feel more focused and able to get things done, the fiery Aries energy is more bombastic. In other words, watch your Sagittarian tendencies! The Scorpio full moon and lunar eclipse occurs on the 15th along with heavy Saturn aspects, so you and everyone else will be tense and stressed and somewhat overwhelmed. Mercury retrograde crosses paths with the Sun as the Sun enters Gemini on the 20th, heightening Mercury retrograde shenanigans. Mars enters Aries on the 24th and joins up with Jupiter for the rest of the month. You’ll get things done but be careful of throwing your weight around. The month ends with a nice Gemini new moon on the 30th. Dive into the dreamtime and get inspired.
CAPRICORN (Dec 21-Jan19) Like I said last month, it is a season of stress and uncertainty, and there is not much to do about it. Uranus spends all month sitting on the Earth axis, continuing the chaos and tumult. By May 4th, the Taurus Sun catches up to Uranus for a few days of absolute craziness on a global scale. Deep breaths! On May 10th Mercury turns retrograde in Gemini, no less, the sign of linear processes. That means you can expect linear process to go sideways—dates, times, plans, travel, and yes, technology. Back up that hard drive! Jupiter also enters Aries on the 10th, which might lessen the overwhelm but will likely
exaggerate the Uranus effects of feeling buffeted by unexpected events—not a feeling you like very much. Get ready for the Scorpio full moon and lunar eclipse on the 15th – it’s an intense one, and lines up with your ruling planet Saturn. You will be feeling the weight of the world, a rather big weight right now. By the 20th Mercury retrograde crosses paths with the Sun as the Sun moves into Gemini—there will be revelations and some confusion. Mars enters Aries on the 24th and joins up with Jupiter for the rest of the month, bringing out some bossiness on your part. Be a bit careful – people are thin-skinned right now and easily angered, since both Mars and Jupiter aspect Uranus. I would avoid conflict. Then May ends with a nice new moon in Gemini which is fruitful as long as you can turn inward.
AQUARIUS (JAN 20-FEB 19) Yes, it’s another complicated month, and you can blame Uranus, your ruling planet! Uranus sits on top of the Earth axis all month long, continuing the chaos and tumultuousness. In fact, starting on May 4th, the Sun in Taurus meets up with Uranus for a few days of serious upsets. Then Mercury turns retrograde in Gemini on the 10th. Keep in mind that Mercury rules Gemini, a sign that has a lot
to do with linear processes such as time and travel. So get ready for Gemini-type things to go a bit sideways: you might experience changes in plans and travel delays. Jupiter also enters Aries on the 10th and aspects Uranus, exaggerating the Uranus effect of the unexpected, although Jupiter moving from Pisces to Aries will give you more oomph. The Scorpio full moon and lunar eclipse falls on the 15th, and it’s a big one, with heavy Saturn aspects that make everyone worried and anxious. Then Mercury retrograde passes the Sun just as the Sun enters Gemini, surfacing important information. Mars enters Aries on the 24th and joins up with Jupiter for the rest of the month. This is a nice dose of active, purposeful and fiery energy, but be aware that Uranus is involved too so there can be surprises and changes. The Aries fire can be hot-tempered, so avoid conflict. The month ends with a Gemini new moon – harness the intuitive knowledge of Mercury retrograde and make some plans.
PISCES (FEB 20-MAR 19) This is another roller-coaster of a month, I’m sorry to say. Uranus sits right on top of the Earth axis all month, so the hits just keep coming for our world on every level. In fact, on the 4th the Taurus Sun catches up with Uranus in Taurus for a few days, stimulating some intense reversals and changes. Then Mercury goes retrograde in Gemini on the 10th, and keep in mind that Gemini’s sphere is linear thought processes… Hmm, they might go kinda awry during the start of this retrograde: time,
technology, and travel. You just have to go with the flow and engage your Pisces dreamtime muscles and you’ll be fine! Jupiter leaves Pisces for the moment and enters Aries on the 10th as well, giving you a bit more energy. The Scorpio full moon and lunar eclipse falls on the 15th and lines up with Saturn. You’ll need to stave off worry and stay grounded. Then Mercury retrograde crosses paths with the Sun right as the Sun enters Gemini. Back up that hard drive! Mars enters Aries on the 24th and meets up with Jupiter, and they move in tandem for the rest of the month. That is a powerful and energetic combination, especially with Uranus in the mix, so you will feel less overwhelmed and be able to accomplish a great deal. The month ends with a Gemini new moon on the 30th.
ARIES (MAR 20-APRIL19) The chaos and craziness continue through the month of May, mostly thanks to Uranus, which sits on top of the Earth axis all month. And to intensify the tumult the Taurus Sun catches up to Uranus in Taurus for a few days starting on the 4th. More crisis and serious drama for the world, I’m afraid. Then Mercury turns retrograde on the 10th, beginning its retrograde in Gemini, the sign of linear
process. So linear processes of time and travel and technology can go out the window… Be sure to back up your hard drive. Jupiter also enters your sign of Aries on the 10th , and you feel a resurgence of energy and purpose. Just remember that it too aspects Uranus most of the month so there is a quality of the unexpected in everything that occurs. The Scorpio full moon and lunar eclipse fall near midnight on the 15th, and it’s an intense one with heavy Saturn aspects. You will feel pressured and stressed. Then Mercury retrograde crosses paths with the Sun as the Sun enters Gemini. Some important information may be revealed. Mars enters your sign of Aries on the 24th and joins up with Jupiter for the rest of the month. You move into powerhouse mode with all this fiery energy, but be careful of stepping on other’s toes. Everyone is thin-skinned right now.The month ends with a Gemini new moon on the 30th. Tune into the dreamtime of Mercury retrograde and make some plans for the future.
