AQUARIUS (JAN 20-FEB 19)  The planetary energies begin to shift this month, thank all the gods and goddesses! By the end of February, for instance, Saturn starts pulling away from Pluto. It is hard not to feel completely beat up by these two planets in the meantime, but stay strong– there are some nice dynamics developing.  February begins with the Venus, Mars, Neptune combination, and you have a choice—if you focus on the brutal realities of the world, Neptune delivers you disappointment and fear of the unknown.  You can instead use this combination for inspiration and developing shared dreams with your loved ones. Venus enters Aries on the 7th, just in time for the Leo full moon early on the 9th.  Full moons illuminate whatever is going on, and so everyone will be being loud about  the Venus-Saturn Pluto crisis in values. Remember that Leo full moons are highly expressive—if your birthday falls on the 8th or 9th you’ll be in a mode of full expression, unable to hold back anything. By the 13th Venus makes an angle to the Lunar Nodes, and that’s all about connection with intimates. Mercury turns retrograde on the 16th moving from Pisces back into Aquarius towards the end of its pass in early March.  Oy! Mercury retrograde in Pisces—that’s dreamtime on crack!  Expect linear communication to be very wonky!  Mars enters Capricorn also on the 16th, adding to the Capricorn planets.  Mars in Capricorn, however, is highly productive so you will get a lot done under its influence! The Sun enters Pisces right before midnight the night of the 18th, while Venus makes an angle to Jupiter for a few days of fulfillment and positive connection.  The Pisces new moon falls on the 23rd, and its Mars-Saturn-Pluto action brings some global tension, but it is offset a bit by the Venus-Jupiter substance- of- we- feeling (to quote writer Doris Lessing).  This new moon could bring weather drama with the added effect of Mercury retrograde.  The last week of February will be challenging – the Pisces Sun crosses paths with Mercury retrograde from the 25th to 27th, making communication and information go completely haywire. February ends with a re-commitment to core values as Venus in Aries lines up with Pluto.

PISCES (FEB 20-MAR 19)  Things are getting interesting, at least!  Although you’re still feeling oppressed by Saturn and Pluto, their influence starts waning by the end of the month.  Other planetary dynamics are starting to appear. I know, it’s hard to believe, what with Neptunian disappointment and fear kicking off the month with Mars and Venus lining up with Neptune.  But the flip side of Neptune allows you to transcend fear and instead allow yourself to be inspired and dreamy, thanks to the  Venus and Mars action for the first few days. Mercury enters Pisces on the 3rd and Venus leaves it and enters Aries on the 7th, just in time for the Leo full moon on the 9th.  People will be worked up and expressing it, flipped out about a sense of their values being crushed by Saturn and Pluto.  Stay calm.  By the 13th Venus and the Lunar Nodes bring some sweet energy to relationships, and then on the 16th, Mercury turns retrograde. Yes, that would be Mercury in Pisces, so get ready to be a spaced -out mess.  Inspired and dreamy perhaps, but unable to manage linear details.  It will be a deliciously dreamy transit for you. Mars also enters Capricorn on the 16th, and within a few days triggers Saturn and Pluto for some global bellicosity.  The Sun enters your own sign right before midnight the night of the 18th while Venus aspects Jupiter for days of fun and joyful connection. The Pisces new moon falls on the 23rd, and oh, it’s a complex one, with Venus- Jupiter humanistic values clashing with Mars -Saturn-Pluto power-mongering.  Use it for inspiration nonetheless, because it is a powerful new moon for you.  A few days later the Pisces Sun crosses paths with Mercury retrograde, so expect to have an important awareness or insight bubble up from your unconscious. February ends with juicy relationship action.

ARIES (MAR 20-APRIL19)  Things are beginning to shift this month, although I know it’s hard to believe.  The start of February brings fear and uncertainty and the unbearable weight of Saturn and Pluto…. But trust me: by the end of February Saturn starts pulling away from Pluto and will be out of Capricorn altogether by the Spring Equinox.  But I get ahead of myself!  Use the first few days of February to focus on shared dreams, and stay away from the news.   Mercury enters Pisces on the 3rd and Venus enters Aries on the 7th, just in time for the bombastic Leo full moon on the 9th.  Venus in Aries quickly makes an angle to Saturn and Pluto, and Venus will roar with distress at Saturn Pluto repression.  Full moons illuminate and exaggerate, and everyone will be flipped out and expressing it, including you.  Focus on relationships and intimacy when Venus aspects  the Lunar Nodes on the 13th.  Then on the 16th, Mars enters Capricorn and Mercury turns retrograde in Pisces.  This transit of Mercury retrograde in Pisces will be dreamy and inspired and utterly confounding. Mars in Capricorn will make you productive, but expect Mercury retro to mess with any kind of linear trajectory you have in mind.  The Sun enters Pisces early on the 18th while Mars  aspects Saturn and Pluto, bringing some global tension and even aggression. Meanwhile Venus in Aries makes a juicy angle to Jupiter for a few days of joyful relationship movement and humanistic values that counter the Mars- Saturn -Pluto pressure on the February 23rd Pisces New Moon.  A few days later the Sun crosses paths with Mercury retrograde, so use this last week of February to work with your unconscious and allow it to teach you.  The month ends with a Venus Pluto focus on relationships and commitment.

TAURUS (APR 20-MAY 20)  Given how the start of February feels, it is difficult to believe that there is light at the end of the Saturn-Pluto tunnel, but there is.  By the end of the month, Saturn pulls quickly away from Pluto and we will be in a whole different phase. But right now, at the top of February, Venus, Mars and Neptune have you unsettled and disappointed.  Nevertheless it is a great time for inspiration and shared dreams and goals –  only if you don’t look at the news! Mercury enters Pisces on the 3rd and Venus enters Aries on the 7th, setting you up for a clash of values on the Leo full moon on the 9th. You’re not the only one—everyone will be triggered as Venus says “No!” to Saturn and Pluto’s repressive force. So it is an agitated full moon, and you just have to get through it and use all the loving kindness you can muster.  By the 13th Venus makes a nice angle to the Lunar Nodes, bringing deliciousness to relationships. Mercury in Pisces goes retrograde on the 16th . get ready—it’s a dreamy, sloppy one, great for inspiration but expect schedule and travel shenanigans. Mars also enters Capricorn on the 16th , adding to your focus and ability to take care of business.  The Sun enters Pisces late on the 18th, followed by the Pisces new moon on the 23rd.  Two big influences are in play:   Venus aspects Jupiter for positive, humanistic connections and values, contrasting with the bellicosity of Mars aspecting Saturn and Pluto.   You will be inclined to speak truth to power,  and to stand firmly on your Venus-based values of interconnection.   Right after the new moon Mercury retrograde and the Sun meet up, wreaking all kinds of havoc with communication.   Try to use the last week of the month on creative process because you will have a great deal of access to non-linear process.   The month ends with a focus on intimacy and relationship.

GEMINI (MAY 21-JUNE 20)  Change is in the air, although it is hard to believe right now…. Keep in mind that by the end of February Saturn will be pulling away from Capricorn and we will be in a whole new phase. But right now, things feel weird. Mars and Venus and Neptune conspire to have you feel discontented and perhaps disappointed. If you can, turn this around and allow Neptune to inspire you to develop shared dreams and plans.  Mercury enters Pisces on the 3rd and Venus enters Aries on the 7th.  The Leo full moon falls on the 9th, and Leo moons are all about full-on expressiveness. Everyone is wigged out and yelling about it. Venus in Aries makes an angle to Saturn and Pluto, challenging the rather brutal status quo.  By the 13th Venus catches up to an angle with the Lunar Nodes , which is wonderful for intimacy and connections.  Mercury in Pisces turns retrograde on the 16th for three weeks of dreaminess.  Get ready to be a space cadet!  But it will be a very rich time for intuition and insight, and you should go with it.  Mars also enters Capricorn on the 16th, adding to the weight of Capricorn planets making you feel like you have to get things done. The Sun enters Pisces late on the 18th, and then the Pisces new moon falls on the 23rd. This new moon has two contradictory and important influences:  a beautiful Venus-Jupiter angle, all about connectedness and relationships, and Mars-Saturn-Pluto which can be aggressively repressive.  Looks like a clash of values, so be careful to avoid power struggles and argument.  By the 25th Mercury retrograde crosses paths with the Sun, bringing to light important information or insights.   The month ends with focus on commitment in your relationships.

CANCER  (JUNE 21- JULY 21)  The planets are beginning to shift, and there should be a sense of release as we approach the end of the month. I know, it feels hard to believe from where we sit right now.  February’s start is odd, with Mars and Venus and Neptune all wrapped up together, making you feel uncertain and unsettled.  Use the Neptune influence to help inspire you to envision a future of shared values and collaboration.  Mercury enters Pisces on the 3rd and Venus enters Aries on the 7th.  Remember that all the planets in Capricorn and Aries trigger your Cancer self, and so Venus in Aries brings some values clashes over the course of the month, starting with the Leo full moon on the 9th.  Venus makes an angle to Saturn and Pluto, challenging the oppressive status quo.  Full moons illuminate, and this Leo full moon illuminates everyone’s outrage, including yours.   By the 13th Venus makes a beautiful angle to the Cancer North Lunar Node, putting the focus on relationships.  Mercury in Pisces turns retrograde on the 16th, and it will be dreamtime on crack, with the Pisces influence making Mercury retrograde especially loopy.  Remember – no big decisions, just let things bubble up from your watery unconscious.  Mars also enters Capricorn on the 16th , inspiring you to want to accomplish concrete plans.  You’ll have to go with the flow on that since Mercury retro may derail you a tad.  The Sun enters Pisces late on the 18th, followed by the Pisces new moon on the 23rd. two contradictory influences are operating: Venus squares Jupiter, shining a light on humanistic values, while Mars aspects Saturn and Pluto, exaggerating repressive force.  Hmm.  Lay low and avoid power struggles. By the 25th  Mercury retro crosses the Sun in Pisces, and you are likely to learn unexpected information  and have a few days of deep information.  Pay attention.  The month ends with you giving attention to commitment in relationships.

LEO (JUL 22-AUG 21)   Believe it or not we are in  a transitional moment  right now and by the end of the month Saturn will be pulling away from Pluto and we will be in a whole new phase… Right now, at the start of February, things feel weird as hell, with the Venus-Mars-Neptune angle contributing to disappointment and uncertainty.  Try to use it instead for inspiration and developing shared humanistic purpose.  Mercury enters Pisces on the 3rd and Venus enters on the 7th, just in time for the big whopping Leo full moon on the 9th.  Take heed—Venus aspects Saturn and Pluto, setting up a values clash of a high order. Leo full moons are always dramatic and filled with big expression, so get ready to be irrepressible and extreme.  Things calm down a bit after that, when by the 13th Venus squares the Lunar Nodes, putting the focus on intimate connections.  Mercury in Pisces turns retrograde on the 16th—oy veh!  First of all, Pisces in not the most comfortable sign for you, and it exaggerates the slippery nature of Mercury retrograde.   So this stretch of it  will be challenging for you —  you will be spacey and aggravated by the inevitable changes in schedule and plans.  You need to go with the flow—for real—and also allow your unconscious to bubble up and provide you with insight and knowledge.  That’s what it’s all about.  The Sun enters Pisces late on the 18th, followed by the new moon in Pisces on the 23rd.  And what a new moon it is!   Venus squares Jupiter—nice!—while Mars in Capricorn aspects Saturn and Pluto. As I said, a clash of humanistic values with power-mongering.  Avoid power struggles if you can.   Then by the 25th Mercury retrograde meets up with the Sun, and so pay attention to information and intuition; you may learn some unexpected and necessary information. The month ends with you attending to committed relationships.

VIRGO (AUG 22- SEPT 21)  February brings a whiff of change our way as Saturn overtakes Pluto this month and Venus sets up some major values clashes. Meanwhile you are challenged a bit by the planetary action in Pisces, your opposite sign… but I get ahead of myself!  The month begins with strange and unsettling Neptune dynamics with Venus and Mars. This combo is great for creative work and inspiration if you can take your eyes off of the train wreck taking place in the US  government. Mercury enters Pisces on the 3rd and Venus enters Aries on the 7th.  The 9th brings a big Leo full moon which exaggerates the values crisis brought on by Venus aspecting Saturn and Pluto.  It is all very discombobulating.  Stay calm.  By the 13th Venus makes an angle to the Lunar Nodes, shining a light on relationships.  On the 16th Mercury in Pisces goes retrograde – fun fun fun for you!  Mercury is your ruling planet after all, and in Pisces, it retrograding in Pisces exaggerates its dreamy, vague, spacey quality.  Get ready for things to be very slippery for a few weeks! Mars also enters Capricorn on the 16th, adding to all the earthy Capricorn-ness and making you really want to be organized and purposeful … but Mercury retrograde will mess with that a bit.  The Sun enters Pisces late on the 18th and then the Pisces new moon falls on the 23rd.  This is a juicy, inspired and complicated one, contrasting Venus-Jupiter humanistic values with Mars Saturn Pluto power mongering.  It’s a good time to envision world peace and justice.  By the 25th Mercury retro crosses paths with the Sun – uh oh, you had better go with the flow, tune inward, let your unconscious give you some nuggets. The end of the month is all about deep commitment in relationships.

LIBRA (SEPT 22-OCT21)  Hard to believe but things are getting better and change is in the air!  Just think—by the end of February Saturn will be racing away from Pluto in Capricorn, on its way to Aquarius in March.  Right now, though, at the top of February, you’re distracted, disappointed, unsettled (jeez, that sounds like a song… Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered).  Mars, Venus, and Neptune have you all stirred up, but if you can take your attention away from the news, they are actually a great combination for creative expression.  Mercury enters Pisces on the 3rd and on the 7th Venus moves into Aries, your opposite sign.  The full moon in Leo falls on the 9th, highlighting the values clash between Venus and Saturn and Pluto.  The Leo  moon is expressive and doesn’t hold back,  so you and everyone else will be in the throes of hand wringing and outrage.  By the 13th Venus catches up to an angle with the Lunar Nodes, so spend time with loved ones and forget about the world a bit. On the 16th Mercury goes retrograde – in Pisces, no less – and Mars enters Capricorn.   This Pisces Mercury retrograde will be really juicy for dreaminess and intuition but  absolutely confounding in its discombobulation of plans and schedules. You know the drill—go with the flow and learn from your unconscious. The Sun enters Pisces late on the 18th and the new moon falls on the 23rd.  Venus squares Jupiter while Mars aspects Saturn and Pluto.  Uh oh, another clash of values. Humanistic connection meets the iron fist.  Avoid power struggles and pray for peace.  By the 25th Mercry retrograde crosses paths with the Sun for a few days of unexpected information coming to light.  Pay attention to your dreams.  The end of the month is about commitment to relationships.

SCORPIO (OCT 22-NOV 21)  February gives us a whiff of the sea change that is coming…. Think about it: by the end of February Saturn is pulling away from Pluto and on its way to a while new phase. I know, right now at the start of February, things feel very weird. Mars and Venus are lined up with Neptune, raising fear and uncertainty if you focus on the world. If you can focus creatively and spiritually these are positive and transcendent influences.   Mercury enters Pisces on the 3rd and Venus moves into Aries on the 7th, just in time for an expressive Leo full moon on the 9th.  Venus moves into an angle with Saturn and Pluto, challenging the hell out of their repressive energy and setting up a values clash.  Stay calm.  By the 13th Venus makes an angle to the lunar Nodes and it’s time to focus on relationships.  By the 16th Mercury in Pisces turns retrograde and mars enters Capricorn.  Mercury retrograde in Pisces really exaggerates the dreaminess  factor, so have fun with that.  It’s downtime for the linear mind.   Let your intuition rip and pay attention to your unconscious.  Although Mars in Capricorn may want you to get organized, Mercury retro will make that a bit hard…Just go with the flow.  The Sun enters Pisces late on the 18th and the new moon follows on the 23rd.   It is a big and intuitive new moon, but it has complicated dynamics. Venus squares Jupiter which is lovely for celebration and hope and positive values, while Mars makes an angle to Saturn and Pluto, which is all about aggressive repression.  Another clash of values!  Avoid power struggles. By the 25th Mercury retro crosses paths with the Sun and it will an important if not impossible few days in terms of Mercury retrograde weirdness.  Significant information may come to light. The month ends with deepening  commitment in relationships.

SAGITTARIUS (NOV 22- DEC 21)  Change is a- coming, believe it or not.   By the end of February, Saturn will overtake Pluto and be close to leaving Capricorn. Whew!  I know, the beginning of February feels strange and unsettled, thanks to Neptune’s influence.  Stay away from  the news and focus on your creative or spiritual practices.  Mercury enters Pisces on the 3rd and Venus moves into Aries on the 7th, setting up a values clash as Venus aspects Saturn and Pluto.    The Leo full moon on the 9th shines a light on your outrage. Try to stay calm – we have lots more ups and downs to get through before things really shift.   By the 13th Venus makes an angle to the Lunar nodes and it is a great time to attend to relationships.  Mercury in Pisces turns retrograde on the 16th, and you know what that means!  It’s dreamtime for the brain and non-linear process rules.  Let your intuition bubble up and go with the flow as schedules and plans all get slippery.  Mars also enters Capricorn on the 16th, adding to the preponderance of planets in that sign, making you want to get organized.   Mercury retrograde may interfere with that, just sayin!  The Sun enters Pisces late on the 18th and the Pisces new moon follows on the 23rd. It’s a powerful new moon with contradictory dynamics of another values clash. Venus squares Jupiter—delightful, positive, humanistic—while Mars aspects Saturn and Pluto for some aggressive and repressive actions. Stay away from arguments and meditate for peace.  By the 25th the Sun meets up with Mercury retrograde and pay special attention to your intuition. The month ends with a focus on commitment in relationships.

CAPRICORN (Dec 21-Jan19)  Believe it or not, things in our world are beginning to shift…. By the end of February Saturn will be racing past Pluto and move out of Capricorn in March.  Right now, at the start of February you are feeling uncertain and edgy, thanks to Neptune’s action with Mars and Venus.  Try to use this energy for shared vision and inspiration, rather than focusing on disappointment in social structures. Try. Mercury moves into Pisces on the 3rd and Venus into Aries on the 7th, just in time for the Leo full moon on the 9th.  Full moons magnify and illuminate, and Leo shines forth, and what will be on full display is a Venus values clash with Saturn and Pluto.  Expect to feel outrage and conviction and to express it with no holds barred.  By the 13th, however, Venus moves into position with the Lunar Nodes, putting the focus on relationships with loved ones. It’s Venus that sustains us this month, after all, and starts to break up the Saturn Pluto stranglehold…  Mars enters Capricorn on the 16th, adding to your sense of purposeful action and responsibility, but Mercury also turns retrograde on the 16th, undermining your plans just a tad.  Mercury retrograde in Pisces is like Merc retrograde on crack, frankly – all dreamtime, all the time.  Get ready to have to go with the flow.  Allow yourself to be inspired by your intuition, not by your schedule and plans. The Sun enters Pisces late on the 18th, and the Pisces new moon falls on the 23rd.  It’s a big one, with Venus squaring Jupiter (nice!) and Mars aspecting Saturn and Pluto (not so nice).  There will be a values clash between humanistic commitments and repressive force.  Be careful not to fight under this aspect.  Stay quiet and pray for peace.  The month ends with important Mercury retrograde revelations and then a focus on deep relationships.
