CAPRICORN (Dec 21-Jan19)  Well, it’s another month with a pigpile of planets in your own sign, so you are feeling focused and goal- oriented.  It’s a good month to take care of business and get stuff done. Mercury has crashed the Capricorn party, and joins up with the Sun, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto.  Venus is in Aquarius til the middle of the month and Mars enters Sagittarius on the 3^rd, so you sense some movement and energy. Make sure that work doesn’t take all your attention, and that you’re able to use Mars and Venus to generate some ideas and inspire others to join in with you, especially with Jupiter in Capricorn adding to your magnetism. In fact, the week  of  the 5^th brings  a beautiful lineup of Jupiter and the Lunar Nodes, putting the focus on relationships.  Keep in mind that the January 10^th full moon in Cancer is an eclipse, and a heavy-hitting one at that, since it pulls in the Saturn Pluto influences. You will be quite consumed with crises big and little for the first half of the month.  Saturn and Pluto stick together like glue for most of the month, increasing everyone’s stress levels. Mid-month the energies shift: Venus moves into Pisces on the 13^th and Mercury into Aquarius on the 16^th.  Mercury pairs up with Uranus for a few days of tremendous mental stimulation, and your big brain will  fire on all its cylinders. The Sun enters Aquarius on the 20^th, and you’ll be feeling somewhat less pressure as these planets leave Capricorn. The January 24^th new moon in Aquarius is a big one, with heavy aspects of the unexpected.  The good news is that Mars in Sag makes an angle to Venus in Pisces from the 23^rd through the end of the month.  That is a beautiful combination for shared effort. By the 26^th Neptune gets involved and so put your energy into romance or art-making.  Enjoy.

AQUARIUS (JAN 20-FEB 19)  This month is a bit of a slog, sorry to say, although it does have some bright spots.  First of all, Venus is in Aquarius until the 13^th, and that is always fun for you. It will help you focus on fun as a strategy for weathering the storms of the January 10^th full moon and eclipse and Saturn-Pluto conjunction.  How much sturm und drang  can a person take, after all?  The week of January  5^th Jupiter helps you attend to relationships and really give you a sense of fulfillment with loved ones.  Enjoy that as well.  Mercury enters your own sign on the 16^th and joins up with Uranus, your ruling planet, to spark all kinds of wild ideas.  Don’t hold back – your brain is on fire.  No idea is too outlandish to consider. The Sun enters Aquarius on the 20^th and quite quickly gets into position with Uranus.  You will want to break free of some constraints in your life.  The new moon in Aquarius on the 24^th  really carries this energy of change for you, so use this new moon  to invite the new and different into your life.  Meanwhile Venus in Pisces and Mars in Sag make a juicy angle to each other from the 23^rd til the end of the month.  This aspect is about partnership and shared effort.  Nice! It gets especially nice around the 26^th when Neptune gets involved. That means losing yourself in something or someone.  Go for it!

 PISCES (FEB 20-MAR 19)  January has its ups and downs, that’s for sure! Tension is building in the world as the Saturn-Pluto pressures grow, and you are definitely feeling that.  The preponderance of planets in Capricorn helps you focus on getting thing done – not a bad strategy. The week of the 5^th  Jupiter puts the emphasis on relationships, so really spend some time with friends and loved ones.  Lay low over the January eclipse and full moon in Cancer. It will be an emotional one, with the moon shining its light right onto Saturn-Pluto issues of power and repression.  But there is some relief ahead… Venus enters  Pisces on the 13^th and Mercury enters Aquarius on the 16^th, so you get a break in the heavy Capricorn action. Venus in your own sign will bring a sense of alignment and you’ll be clearer about your values.  Mercury makes an angle to Uranus and you have lots of ideas and vision for where you are headed. The Sun enters Aquarius on the 20^th and it too makes an angle to Uranus, bringing more chaos than you’re ready for.  The Aquarius new moon on the 24^th is a great time to envision ways to be relieved of some stresses and burdens.  In fact from then on til the end of the month, Venus in Pisces makes an angle to Mars in Sagittarius, and it is a great time for partnerships and shared vision.  Neptune gets involved in the action by the 26^th, and its dreamy influence will inspire you to take a creative project or visionary project to the next level.

 ARIES (MAR 20-APRIL19)  This month of extreme Capricorn-ness continues to square off against your Aries self, so you may be feeling an immense amount of pressure, needing to complete goals you can’t see very clearly. In addition, the whole month feels weighed down by the upcoming Saturn-Pluto conjunction on the 12^th, adding to your sense of unease.  There are some bright spots, so stay focused.  The week of January 5^th Jupiter lines up nicely with the Lunar Nodes, placing the emphasis on relationships and intimacy.  That’s where you need to put your energy right now. January 10^th brings an intense Cancer full moon and lunar eclipse, and it will seem like global tensions are mounting.  The full moon is very wrapped up in the Saturn Pluto shadow, so it will be a rough time. But on the 13^th Venus enters Pisces and on the 16^th, Mercury enters Aquarius, and the Capricorn weight gets lighter.  Mercury spends a few days all sparked up by Uranus, so pay attention to your wildest ideas.  The Sun enters Aquarius on the 20^th, and it too makes an angle to Uranus.  Things feel chaotic. The January 24^th new moon in Aquarius is all about visioning and putting your values to work.  Venus in Pisces makes an angle to Mars in Sagittarius and suddenly you have more access to your vision and to seeing new possibilities.  The Venus-Mars combination continues through the end of January—it’s a beautiful configuration that is all about shared purpose.  By the 26^th Venus catches up to Neptune and Neptune’s influence makes you dreamy and sensitive, yearning for other worlds.

TAURUS (APR 20-MAY 20)  The very earthy Capricorn influence continues into January, and so you are still able to be productive and focused.  However, the closer we get to the January 10^th full moon and eclipse and January 12^th Saturn Pluto conjunction, the more you will lose your resolve and be distracted by the spasms of a world in trouble.  There is not much you can do – although the week of January 5^th Jupiter lines up beautifully with the Lunar Nodes to make relationships really central.  Put your energy towards relationships—that’s what will support you and all of us to get through the stormy waters that January brings us. And there are bright spots coming.  Venus enters Pisces on the 13^th and Mercury enters Aquarius on the 16^th, lightening the Capricorn load. Mercury makes an angle to Uranus (in Taurus, don’t forget!)  for a few days and you will have a million ideas and perhaps some mental challenges.  The Sun enters Aquarius on the 20^th and also squares Uranus. You sense change and even though things are chaotic you can see a way forward, especially on the January 24^th new moon in Aquarius. Really harness your vision on this new moon, especially for projects and efforts that involve others. Mars in Sag and Venus in Pisces make a juicy angle to each other from the 23rd through the end of the month, and they are all about shared commitment.  Venus catches up to Neptune by the 26^th and stirs up your creative juices.

GEMINI (MAY 21-JUNE 20)  You get another month dominated by planets in Capricorn, not easy for your airy self but things do begin to shift…  Even though the first half of the month is challenging Jupiter lines up with the Lunar Nodes the week of the 5^th to put the focus smack on top of relationships—so don’t fight it.  Meanwhile pressure builds towards the Cancer full moon and eclipse on the 10^th and the impending Saturn Pluto conjunction on the 12th. You will be increasingly nerved out by whatever global drama is unfolding the closer we get to the 12^th—just hang on.  The good news is that Venus enters Pisces on the 13^th, and Mercury enters Aquarius on the 16^th. Mercury immediately makes an angle to Uranus so pay attention to your craziest ideas and do lots of deep breathing to stay calm. The Sun enters Aquarius – a fellow air sign–  on the 20th and you feel the weight of all that Capricorn begin to lift.  The Sun also makes an angle to Uranus, stirring up your desire for freedom and change.  The Aquarius new moon on the 24^th is a nice one and a good time for you to do some visioning.  Starting then Venus in Pisces makes an angle to Mars in Sagittarius, and this juicy combination is about partnership and shared effort. That both planets are in fellow mutable signs makes the end of the month very inspiring for you. Venus catches up to Neptune by the 26^th, adding a dreamy and creative energy to the mix.

CANCER  (JUNE 21- JULY 21)  Once again you have a helluva month, triggered as you are by the action of all the planets in Capricorn (Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto …)  So honey, if you don’t have a meditation practice I would start one, even the simplest, easiest breathing practice.  It is an intense month – and there are bright spots. Already the week of January 5^th Jupiter lines up with the Lunar Nodes in Cancer and Capricorn, so you will really have an opportunity to center the relationships that are really meaningful to you. But the January 10^th eclipse and full  moon  in cancer looms on January  10^th along with its heavy Saturn Pluto aspects.  You may be at a crossroads, facing a critical moment.  What do you keep, and what structures do you let go of  as you face the mess of the world and whatever  personal challenges you might  have.  Let that Cancer full moon illuminate the situation and show you the way.  This month—especially after the middle of the month— you begin to get a sense of movement  as the planets shift out of Capricorn and into other signs.  Venus enters Pisces on the 13^th and Mercury enters Aquarius on the 16^th. Mercury quickly squares Uranus, giving you lots of ideas for new directions.  The Sun enters Aquarius on the 20^th and it too squares Uranus. There is a lot of change in the wind, and you feel less beleaguered.  The Aquarian new moon falls on the 24^th and it is a great time to envision next steps.  Venus in Pisces makes an angle to Mars in Sag starting then and through the rest of the month, and so the focus is shared effort.  It is a good time to partner with as you build some new structures for yourself.

 LEO (JUL 22-AUG 21)  The Capricorn emphasis remains strong this month, especially during the first half of January, which tests your patience and self-acceptance.  But there is enough Aquarian energy in the sky to start lightening you up as well, so take heart.  The week of January 5^th Jupiter lines up with the Lunar Nodes to put the focus on the meaning of relationships in your life. Put some energy into friends and intimates this week, even as pressure is building towards the Saturn Pluto dramas that are unfolding in the world.  It’s like you are watching a train wreck in slow motion and can’t take your eyes off of it.  The Cancer eclipse and full moon on the 10^th will draw all your attention to these  global crises – and perhaps crises among friends and family as well.  But the planets pull you in some other  directions. Venus has been in Aquarius but enters Pisces on the 13^th.  Mercury enters Aquarius, your opposite sign, on the 16^th and immediately makes an angle to Uranus.  You’re full of ideas and your mind is going a mile a minute.  The Sun enters Aquarius on the 20^th and it too aspects Uranus.  There is a lot of change in the air, that’s for sure.  The new moon in Aquarius on the 24^th is a big one for you, especially if you’re born in the first few days of Leo. It is a good time for visioning next steps. Mars in Sag makes an angle to Venus in Pisces starting on the new moon and through the end of the month.  This is a beautiful combination that is all about shared purpose.  Whatever you envision it is a shared effort with others.

 VIRGO (AUG 22- SEPT 21)  There are still a ton of planets in Capricorn this month so you still have access to turning purpose into goals, but you will have more of a sense of a headwind.  It’s a hard and weird month, although Jupiter lines up with the Lunar Nodes the week of the 5^th, lifting up relationships in a good way.  But pressure is building on our wee blue planet as we approach the heavy-duty eclipse and full moon

in Cancer on January 10^th with its Saturn Pluto emphasis.  Oh jeez!  People are freaked and you are as well, as you can’t take your eyes away from the global threats and disasters taking place.  Stay focused on loved ones, and  stay away from social media.   Meanwhile the energy starts shifting this month towards new possibilities and a way through this mess. Venus enters Pisces on the 13^th, and Mercury enters Aquarius on the 16^th.   Mercury makes an angle to Uranus, stimulating all kinds of creative thinking on your part.   The Sun enters Aquarius on the 20^th, not the most comfortable sign for you but it does ease the Capricorn burdens you’ve been carrying. The Sun also makes an angle to Uranus, reminding you to always  expect  the unexpected.  There  is a beautiful new moon in Aquarius on the 24^th with this inspiring energy of change and new possibilities. Venus in Pisces makes an angle to Mars in Sagittarius and these two planets in mutable signs  also bring movement and energy and are focused on shared effort and partnership.  This angle continues through the end of the month and picks up Neptune on the 26^th.  The last week of the month is great for creative and romantic endeavors.

 LIBRA (SEPT 22-OCT21)  This month is another jackpot of Capricorn planets, but more stressfully so. Remember that all this Capricorn squares off to Libra, jangling your  nerves and putting some pressure on you.  On the one hand you’re getting a lot done, and on the other you are utterly undone by the state of the world. Sorry to say it but that part, the state of the world, only gets worse this month. There is some good  stuff – Jupiter lines up with the Lunar Nodes the week of January 5^th  and puts the  focus on loved ones. This is a time to really appreciate the depth of  the karmic attachments you have to the people in your life.  Breathe into that one!  As we get closer to the January 10^th Cancer eclipse and full moon with its Saturn Pluto emphasis, you will be increasingly a mess. Again – deep breaths.  This is a scary time, but things are also shifting and a sense of new possibilities is emerging. Venus enters Pisces on the 13^th and Mercury enters Aquarius on the 16^th. The Sun enters Aquarius on the 20^th. Wow—there is a lot less Capricorn-ness all of a sudden!  Mercury quickly squares Uranus and you have lots of crazy ideas—pay attention to them.  The Sun also makes an angle to Uranus, bringing more energy of possibility.  The Aquarian new moon falls on the 24^th, and it is a great one for visioning.  Venus and Mars are in a luscious angle that is all about partnership and shared effort, and that the two planets are in mutable signs (Pisces and Sag) they bring more of a sense of new opportunities.  These two stay in an angle through the end of the month. Neptune gets involved  by the 26^th, so use these planets  for creative and spiritual growth.

SCORPIO (OCT 22-NOV 21)  Ah, January is well, um… complicated! There are still many planets in Capricorn, enough to make you quite focused and getting things done.  Jupiter lines  up with the Lunar Nodes the week of the 5^th to put the focus  on relationships, so spend time with loved ones. But there are other dynamics afoot.  Pressure is building in our pressure-cooker world as we get closer to the dramatic cancer full moon and eclipse on January 10^th. And as if that weren’t enough the Saturn Pluto conjunction in Capricorn is looming and exact on January 12^th. Eek!  People around you are quite wigged out, and you’re tense as well.  But stay strong—things are shifting.  Venus enters Pisces on the 13^th and Mercury enters Aquarius on  the 16^th.  Mercury quickly squares Uranus, stimulating your most unmoored creative thinking.  Enjoy that!  The Sun enters Aquarius on the 20^th, and already you’re feeling a lessening of the Capricorn heaviness.  The Sun also squares Uranus, and there is a sense of new possibilities emerging.  Yay!  The Aquarius new moon is on the 24^th and it is filled with new and different energies. Use it for inspiration. Venus and Mars are in a delightful angle on the new moon and for the rest of the month that is all about shared purpose.  Neptune gets involved with Mars and Venus on the 26^th and it’s time for creative and healing pursuits in common with others.

 SAGITTARIUS (NOV 22- DEC 21)  Oh boy, this is a challenging and interesting month!  The Capricorn  emphasis continues, giving you some groundedness and sense of purpose. That’s all good, right? And the week of January 5^th, Jupiter lines up with the Lunar Nodes, putting the emphasis on relationships.  Be sure to spend time with loved ones.. You’re feeling the looming Saturn Pluto heaviness in the run-up to the powerful January 10^th Cancer full moon and eclipse – you and everyone else.  It is a stressful time, but there are some openings for action and new ideas. After all, Mars is in Sagittarius this month. Venus enters Pisces on the 13^th and Mercury enters Aquarius on the 16^th. Mercury immediately squares Uranus,  stimulating new ideas.  The Sun enters Aquarius on the 20^th, and also squares Uranus.   Change is in the air!  Yay!  You’re feeling less weighed down by Capricorn realities and more able to see a way forward.  The Aquarian new moon on the 24^th is a beautiful one and great for envisioning, especially since Mars in Sag and Venus in Pisces are inspiring shared effort and collective purpose.   Mars  and Venus continue to  move in tandem through the end of the month—nice!   And Neptune gets in the action by the 26^th, fostering  creative and spiritual inspiration.  Neptune also brings attention to intimacy so be sure make space for  that!
