AQUARIUS (JAN 20-FEB 19) If you have been able to survive this challenging run of Mercury retrograde so far, I would say your month is looking good. There is a nice big Leo full moon on the 3rd followed almost immediately by a Moon-Jupiter conjunction. Your cup is running over. You’re feeling pretty satisfied with yourself and your life, and the Venus-Neptune conjunction for the first week has you all mushy and romantic. By the 6th, the Sun in your own sign catches up to its opposition

to Jupiter for a few days—again, a nice combination for fulfillment and completion. If your birthday is between the 6th and the 8th—woohoo!) Mercury turns direct on the 11th, ending its retrograde pass with chunky aspects to Saturn and the Earth Axis. Hmm. That could mean interesting communication glitches globally or a grand hacking event…..But the good news is that Venus spends the month racing to catch up to Mars, and by the middle of February will be close enough for the two planets to work together. Nice! They will be spectacularly visible in the western evening sky, and astrologically speaking they bring a delightful vibe of shared purpose. There is a new moon in Aquarius on the 18th, just before the Sun moves into Pisces. This new moon captures the Venus-Mars effect, and is a great lunation for envisioning next steps in any joint efforts you’re involved in. The end of the month is a bit more challenging. The Sun in Pisces immediately squares Saturn in Sag and is conjunct Neptune. The only way to handle that is with some discipline ! Get yourself to the gym or to an art class! Saturn and Neptune – in a square position for most of the month– can feel like a bog unless you give them structure. Oy! During the last week of the month it might be hard to do anything but binge-watch reruns of Law and Order. Try to get out there and do something more productive with this very creative energy you’re sitting on!

PISCES (FEB 20-MAR 19) This is an interesting month for you… It starts off with some contradictory influences. Venus in Pisces squares Saturn and catches up to Neptune – you’re dreamy and weepy and need to get into the studio and get some of your creative juices flowing. There is a big full moon in Leo on the 3rd, followed immediately by the Moon in Leo crossing over Jupiter. Then the Sun catches up to an opposition to Jupiter between the 6th and 8th. This major influence of Jupiter brings up some poignant feelings about the end of one cycle and the beginning of another, feelings about what you have in your life and Piscesstill have yet to achieve. Then Mercury turns direct on the 11th—thank god! This has been a tough stretch of Mercury retro! Venus in Pisces races to catch up to Mars and by the middle of the month they act in tandem – this a great combination for shared effort, making it easier to get things done. (These two planets will also be beautifully visible in the evening sky so keep a look out to the west.) There is a new moon in the last breath of Aquarius on the 18th, just before the Sun enters Pisces. Use the Venus-Mars effect on the new moon to generate some ideas for collaborations. The end of the month is a bit dicier….. If you are a very early Pisces you’re getting the square of Saturn in Sag anyway – that’s all about pressure and hard work and stability. Saturn and Neptune approach a square this month, though, and the Sun in Pisces is all up in it during the last week. Things are solid but not really, everything is boggy , and it’s hard to know what end is up. The only way to move through it productively is with spiritual or creative rigor. Gotta have some discipline!

ARIES (MAR 20-APRIL19) The month begins with interesting Venus aspects, as it squares Saturn and catches up to Neptune in Pisces. This influence has you itchy, yearning for spiritual and intimate fulfillment. The issue of fulfillment is exaggerated by heavy Jupiter in Leo energy at the start of the month. There is a full Moon Ariesin Leo on the 3rd, and then the Moon transits Jupiter in Leo. From the 6th to 8th the Sun in Aquarius opposes Jupiter. Remember that the full moon always shines a light on something, and this month, it’s helping you see what you really want from your life. Although this may feel unsettling, go with it and learn from it. Mercury goes direct on the 11th – thank all the gods and goddesses! This was a rough one! Mid-month Venus in Pisces catches up with Mars and you will be able to use this combination to engage in shared effort and collaboration, resolving some of the yearnings from the start of February. In fact, Venus and Mars both enter Aries on the 20th – what a boon for you! Consider that a little gift from the universe! These two planets give a delightful sense of action being in sync with your values. The last week of the month is a bit challenging, however, since there is a heavy Saturn-Neptune-Sun influence which could bog down your Aries spirit a tad unless you stick to a plan.

TAURUS (APR 20-MAY 20) First of all, this has been a difficult Mercury retrograde for you, filled with delays and schedule changes and unwelcome information coming your way. Classic. And it continues til the 11th. And the last few days bring chunky aspects that could make it even worse on the technological front so keep track of your phones and tablets….. But there are many other astrological things to address for you… There is a full moon in Leo on the 3rd, illuminating your need for self-Taurusexpression, in combination with a Venus-Neptune-Saturn disappointment during the first few days of the month. The Moon transits Jupiter on the 4th and then the Sun opposes Jupiter for a few days from the 6th to 8th, highlighting transition and change. A cycle is ending and a new one beginning. The good news is that Venus in Pisces catches up to Mars mid month and this is a great combination for shared effort and working together. Things should go smoothly. And again – Mercury turns around on the 11th and you can relax. There is a new moon in Aquarius on the 18th with these beautiful Venus- Mars aspects, so do some planning and visioning. The end of the month is just plain weird—the Sun gets involved in Saturn Neptune square and it will require lots of discipline to get anything done and not binge watch Diners Drive-Ins and Dives….But it is a great time for a physical regimen or meditation retreat!

GEMINI (MAY 21-JUNE 20) Well, this is an easy month for you til the last week of February, so enjoy . The month begins with a full moon in Leo on the 3rd, and then some nice Jupiter action when the Moon catches up to Jupiter on the 4th and the Sun opposes it from the 6th to 8th. Remember that the full moon illuminates what we need to see, and for you, it is self-expression Geminiand being recognized for who you are. Let your little light shine! Mercury is retrograde til the 11th, and right as it turns around it makes some chunky aspects and you may have a tech breakdown or two. Or three. Don’t drop your phone in a snowdrift. Mid month Venus in Pisces catches up to Mars and they spend the rest of the month marching along together. This is a wonderful combination for shared purpose. There is a new moon on the 18th in the last moments of Aquarius, and the Venus-Mars aspects make it a great lunation for planning joint efforts. The end of the month might be challenging for you, especially if you are an early Gemini, in which case Saturn in Sag is already opposing your Sun, making you a bit glum around the edges. Well, guess what? Saturn advances in Sag enough to square Neptune this month and once the Sun enters Pisces on the 18th it moves right into that mess. Oy! It’s a very boggy, swampy set of energies. You could go to Iceland and sit in the steamy Blue Lagoon…. Or go on a meditation retreat.

CANCER (JUNE 21- JUL 21) This is a strange month for you, astrologically, and the best way to get through it is to have some discipline – creatively, spiritually, physically. Saturn in Sag catches up to a square with Neptune which is a strange and boggy combination and presents great difficulties for most of us, but somehow you Cancers have the best handle on using it this month. Between this combination and Mercury remaining retrograde til the 11th you are able to go with the flow of your creative10367401-atlentic-ocean-waves-near-biarritz-france inspiration and really work it. The start of the month brings a full moon in Leo on the 3rd which is big big energy and is exaggerated by a Moon-Jupiter transit and then a Sun –Jupiter opposition from the 6th-8th. This is all about cycles, about the turning of the wheel of fate. Something is ending and something is beginning, and you are very aware of the passage of time. The Leo influence underscores your need for self-expression. Once Mercury turns around on the 11th, linear process kicks in a bit more and you have a sense of forward motion and accomplishment. There is also a gorgeous Venus-Mars conjunction in Pisces and then Aries for the second half of the month (go outside in the evening and look for it in the western sky). Beautiful! That is a great combo for shared effort and collaboration. It’s also fun. The last 10 days of the month really intensify the Saturn-Neptune business. It’s a good time to look at art or hear live music.

LEO (JUL 22-AUG 21) Well, well! This month is all about you, especially at the start! Keep in mind that with the Sun and other planets in Aquarius, your opposite sign, your stuff gets triggered left and right. So, for starters, there is a big beautiful full moon in Leo on the 3rd. This is all about illuminating your desire for self-expression. And Jupiter in Leo gets in on the action when the 322x450x1354615847_leo-positive-traits.jpg.pagespeed.ic.CT9U3fKX_Cmoon makes a quick transit of it on the 4th, and then from the 6th to 8th the Sun opposes Jupiter. The Jupiter effect brings up issues of cycles, the turning of the wheel of fortune, the passage of time, and juicy things like that. It is also about completion, so the full moon will no doubt shine a light on parts of your life that still need fulfillment…..Mercury in Aquarius remains retrograde til the 11th, and since it makes some challenging aspects to Saturn as it turns around, expect technological breakdowns. There is a new moon at the tail end of Aquarius on the 18th, and it has beautiful Venus-Mars aspects with it, so use this new moon to focus on shared projects and collaboration. In fact, Venus and Mars advance together for most of the month, which is great for a sense of movement and productivity. And fun as well. Once the Sun enters Pisces late on the 18th, we slide into a swampy 10 days of Saturn-Neptune-Sun murkiness, so be sure to engage your muscles and be disciplined. Don’t be a slouch!

VIRGO (AUG 22- SEPT 21) This is a nice month for you if you can stand Mercury retrograde which has been messing with people big time, and since it’s your ruling planet you can expect the aggravation to continue til it turns around on the 11th . Apart Virgo_Artfrom that, there is a gorgeous full moon in Leo on the 3rd, followed by pleasant Moon-Jupiter then Sun-Jupiter transits. That means fulfillment and having a good time. Enjoy it! Mid month Venus catches up to Mars and they march along the rest of February, first in Pisces and then in Aries starting on the 20th. This conjunction is great for collaboration and shared purpose. You will be buoyed along nicely by this influence, which is in place on the Aquarian new moon on the 18th. The Sun enters Pisces alter than day, and especially if you are an early Virgo, the end of February will be weird for you….. You’re feeling Saturn’s square to your Sun in any event which makes life a bit, well….sobering. It gets even more complicated this month because Saturn comes very close to a square with Neptune – now that’s a definite bog, a big swampy mess. It will have a major effect on you and if you don’t want to sink into vagueness, engage your famous Virgo discipline and do something creative.

LIBRA (SEPT 22-OCT21) You should have a good month, that is, if you can roll with Mercury retrograde til the 11th. For some reason this little of wee little Mercury retrograde in Aquarius has been very difficult for most of us, but as a fellow air sign you are doing all right with it. Just continue Librato go with the flow and don’t stress about plans changing and your smartphone dying…. But back to February: the month starts off with a gorgeous full moon in Leo, with nice Jupiter aspects in the few days that follow. This is an all-around time of fullness – full experience, feeling fully content, fully expressive. You are also aware of cycles, of things ending and new things beginning. Jupiter always does that. Mid month, Venus catches up to Mars and they spend the rest of February moving in tandem. This is a wonderful influence for shared purpose and collaboration, especially starting on the 20th when they enter Aries hand in hand. Nice! In fact, the two planets will be visible in the western sky in the evening – get out there and talk to them! Ask for inspiration to help you move through some sticky joint projects. Get ready for a big dive into Neptune’s waters at the end of the month when we have a Saturn Neptune Sun pile up. Ugh. Better get yourself a structure and a regimen or else you’ll be parked in front of that TV unable to unglue yourself from the bog of Family Guy reruns or something…..

SCORPIO (OCT 22-NOV 21) What an interesting month! February begins with a spectacular full moon in Leo, highlighting Scorpio Funnyissues of self-expression and recognition. The full moon is followed by the moon and Sun aspecting Jupiter – nice! You’re dealing with issues of fulfillment, recognizing what you have in your life and what is still missing. You are aware of cycles, of phases ending and beginning, and that’s always an emotional process. Mercury finally turns around on February 11th – whew! Mid month Venus catches up to Mars and they move through the rest of the month together. This is a wonderful combination for shared purpose and joint projects. Enjoy! There is a new moon at the tail end of Aquarius with these beautiful Venus-Mars aspects. Then the end of the month is challenging and feels like a swamp of vagueness unless you can harness your will and get disciplined about spiritual and/or creative work. It is a good time to confront some bad habits and get your health on track – start walking, join the gym.

SAGITTARIUS (NOV 22- DEC 21) Oh jeez! First of all, the combination of Saturn and Sag and this particular stretch of Mercury retrograde in Aquarius has been very challenging for Sagittarians! Somehow the combination of Saturn’s stress and pressure with Mercury retrograde’s inability to focus has been very trying indeed. Don’t worry, it will be over soon – on Feb. 11th. Meanwhile the month begins with a splashy Sagittariusfull moon in Leo on the 3rd, and you are in the public eye, bringing an effort of yours to fruition. The Moon and Sun then aspect Jupiter in quick succession right after the full moon and finally you get a sense of completion. What a relief—as I say, Mercury retrograde has been hard! Then Venus catches up to Mars in Pisces in the middle of the month and they march along in tandem for the rest of February. This is a wonderful combination for shared effort and collaboration. You’ll have a great time. The end of the month is a tad more challenging, however. Once the Sun enters Pisces it picks up the influence of Saturn and Neptune. This requires you to really be disciplined and not get sidetracked by lack of focus or binge-watching The Good Wife. Something creative is trying to express itself in you but it will take Saturn’s structure to make it visible.

CAPRICORN (Dec 21-Jan19) Oh this month has many ups and downs so be prepared! It begins with a full moon in Leo on the 3rd- not so easy for you. It will highlight ways in which you are needing recognition. Then The Moon and Sun quickly aspect Jupiter and at least between the 6th and 8th you should have a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction. Keep in mind that mercury remains retrograde until the 11th, and it has been a helluva Mercury retrograde. Be careful not to lose your smartphone in a Capricornsnowdrift around the 11th when the aspects get chunky. Mid month there is a beautiful conjunction of Venus and Mars which remains the rest of February – it’s even visible so take a look in the western sky in the evening. This is a beautiful combination for shared projects and collaboration. Enjoy it, and make some collaborative plans on the new moon in Aquarius on the 18th. The Sun enters Pisces later on the 18th and we get some chunky Saturn Neptune aspects. The end of February is a great time for a meditation retreat or spiritual or creative work. It will require that kind of focus or discipline not to get bogged down in these swampy influences…..
