Beyonce, quintessential Virgo!

VIRGO (AUG 22- SEPT 21)  September begins prettily enough with that gorgeous Virgo new moon on the 2nd, a new moon which is wonderful for planning, and for art and design.  Mars in late Gemini squares Neptune for a few days of inspired activity, making you want to move.  Dance, swim, pickleball—whatever it is, go for it. Meanwhile Jupiter and Saturn’s square is a stabilizing force for you, as you wrestle with some decisions.   By the end of the first week of September, Mercury in Leo squares Uranus in Taurus—pay attention to even your wildest, out- of -the -box ideas.  Then on the 8th The Virgo Sun opposes Saturn in Pisces, bringing some seriousness your way, but by the 11th it pulls Jupiter into the picture. You have a few days of decision-making ahead of you. Let Jupiter open up some possibilities while Saturn keeps you grounded.  Mercury in Virgo opposes Saturn just in time for the Pisces full moon and partial eclipse on the 17th.  This is a big emotional lunation, especially since the Sun opposes Neptune, adding to the Piscean high waters.  Something important needs to be illuminated in your emotional life, so let the light in.  Try to stay open– the Saturn -Mercury aspect might make you a bit tense or overthinking it.  If you’re traveling—watch out, since weather might be dramatically awful on this full moon. The Sun crosses into Libra on the 22nd, marking the Fall Equinox.   Venus at the tail end of Libra squares Pluto, and you find yourself wanting to make a deep commitment to something or someone. The month ends with a  nice lineup of the Libra Sun with Mercury and the North Lunar Node, facilitating connections with loved ones and great communication.

LIBRA (SEPT 22-OCT21)  September begins with some big Mars-Neptune energy, inspiring your creativity and making it hard not to put work aside and just go dancing.  The pretty Virgo new moon is on the 2nd, and it’s followed by Mercury in Leo squaring Uranus in Taurus.  Uh oh, your nervous system is a tad jacked up, so use Saturn and Jupiter to calm down, to help you maintain the long view. By the 8th the Virgo Sun gets into an angle to Saturn, for a few days of hard work and perhaps some stress. Jupiter is pulling away from its square to Saturn this month, but the angle still powerful. The Virgo Sun squares Jupiter on the 11th, but the Saturn influence is still in the mix, putting the focus on long term planning.  There is a project you want to bring to fruition but it aint cooked quite yet.  Patience. Mercury in Virgo squares Saturn just in time for the Pisces full moon and partial eclipse on the 17h. You will be able to focus and move through a thorny piece of work, so go for it.  Keep in mind that Neptune is all over this full moon, so it’s like Pisces on crack. In other words, dreamy- yes; inspired—yes; spacey as hell—yes; highly emotional and sensitivity– yes.  And expect really bad weather, because there’ll be  lots of water moving around the planet.  Then it’s the Fall Equinox on the 22nd when the Sun enters Libra! Meanwhile Venus at the end of Libra squares Pluto for a few days of deep intimate engagement and commitment.  Mercury enters Libra on the 26th, and catches up to the Sun at the very end of September, both opposite the north lunar node for a few days of great interchange with friends and intimates.

SCORPIO (OCT 22-NOV 21)  The month opens with some creatively expansive Mars Neptune energy that makes you want to move your body.  Get out there on the dance floor, the hiking trails, the pickleball court!   Then the Virgo new moon falls on the 2nd, inspiring planning.  Right after that Mercury in Leo squares Uranus, and you are an idea factory with a million ideas.  By the 8th the Virgo Sun lines up with Saturn in Pisces, and you are stressed and feeling a tad burdened.  Be patient, for in just a few more days the Sun moves into position with Jupiter.  You might want to bring something into fruition, but Saturn and Jupiter bring you common sense and wisdom, and the knowledge that you need more time and planning to make it work.  By the 17th Mercury in Virgo opposes Saturn, bringing some mental tension to the Pisces full moon and partial eclipse.  And it’s a big full moon—it sits exactly with Neptune, amplifying everyone’s emotional sensitivity and ramping up your psychic abilities (as if they needed that!). so everyone will be a soggy mess, and expect big weather events in any case.  The Sun crosses into Libra on the 22nd and it’s the Fall Equinox.  Venus at the tail end of Libra squares Pluto for a few days of deep emotional work on your part.  Then the month ends with a pretty combination of the Sun, Mercury, and the lunar Nodes, bringing conversation and connection.

SAGITTARIUS (NOV 22- DEC 21)  Well, the month begins with you in a Mars-Neptune fog— not an unpleasant fog, just one where you’re in a dreamy, unfocused state.  The only thing you can do is focus on physical movement. Mars and Neptune are good for that, especially movement traditions like yoga and Tai Chi.  The Virgo new moon comes on the 2nd, and it’s always a productive and creative new moon.  Use it to get some stuff done—despite your dreamy state.  Thankfully, right after the new moon Mercury in Leo kicks it up with Uranus, and your brain fog shifts into extreme clarity and a zillion ideas.  Pay attention to your wildest ones– seriously. By September 8th, the Virgo Sun lines up with Saturn for a couple of days of work stress. Fear not, because by the 11th the Sun squares Jupiter. Saturn and Jupiter are still kind of operating together so it is really a Sun-Saturn Jupiter effect for a good few days. This combination brings you some balanced wisdom and ability to have the long view, so no need for stressing. Mercury in Virgo does oppose Saturn on the 17th for a couple of days of mental angst, right in time for the big Pisces full moon and partial eclipse.  Your feelings will be running high, and perhaps some worry as well. Neptune’s influence is all over this full moon, ramping up everyone’s feelings and  sensitivity.  It’s emotional high water everywhere—and actual water as well. I expect bad weather.  The Sun enters Libra on the 22nd, marking the Fall Equinox.  Venus in late Libra makes an angle to Pluto for a few days of deep emotional work. Then the month ends with conviviality and conversation, thanks to the Sun, Mercury and North Lunar Node.

CAPRICORN (Dec 21-Jan19)  September opens with a Mars -Neptune angle that exaggerates your force field, so expect to have an impact. The Virgo new moon falls on the 2nd, a beautiful lunation that is productive and creative.  Right after the new moon Mercury in Leo makes an angle to Uranus, sparking a million ideas and stimulating your nervous system. You’re on fire!   By the 8th the Virgo Sun opposes Saturn, bringing some work stress, followed on the 11th by the Sun squaring Jupiter.  The Jupiter Saturn angle is still in effect for another week, stabilizing you and helping you take a long-term view. If you have decisions to make about your future, now is a good time with  the Virgo Sun pulling in both those planets’ energies.  Then by the 17th Mercury in Virgo opposes Saturn, right in time for the Pisces full moon and partial eclipse.  Oh jeez–  you will likely feel tense, and then the full moon will exaggerate the intensity of everything you’re feeling.  It’s a big full moon and Neptune’s influence is very strong, making for high water everywhere.  Everyone’s feelings will be running high, feeling the woes of the world, and there are likely to be severe storms as well.  So batten down the hatches, metaphorically and practically, and keep praying for peace.  Then the Sun moves into Libra on the 22nd, marking the Fall Equinox.  Venus makes an angle to Pluto for a few days of deep inner work and a review of commitments.  The month ends with a great combination for connection and intimacy.

AQUARIUS (JAN 20-FEB 9)  September begins with a Mars-Neptune angle, making you uncharacteristically spacey.  Then the 2nd brings a Virgo new moon, a beautiful lunation that is great for planning and for creative work, and also grounds the dreamy Mars-Neptune effect… Right after the new moon mercury in Leo makes an angle to Uranus, your ruling planet, and you are exploding with ideas and insights. Pay attention to your craziest ideas right now.  By the 8th the Virgo Sun opposes Saturn for a few days of seriousness and perhaps some work stress.  But don’t sweat it because by the 11th Jupiter gets involved.  The Sun- Saturn Jupiter dynamic is one that is very good for decisions and long -range planning.  If you’re wrestling with real estate decisions, now is a good time to figure them out.  On the 17th Mercury in Virgo opposes Saturn which is good for detailed work but might make you a bit tense, especially due to the Pisces full moon and partial eclipse also on the 18th.  This is an impactful full moon since it falls in alignment with Neptune. People will be a mess, feelings running high for everyone. With so much water being pulled around the globe, weather is likely to be dramatic—emotionally and climate-wise.  Then the Sun enters Libra on the 22nd and it is the Fall Equinox. Venus aspects Pluto for a few days and you are re-examining commitments.  September ends with a pretty combination of the Sun, Mercury and the Lunar Nodes. Enjoy conviviality and conversation.

PISCES (FEB 20-MAR 19)  September beginswith a dreamy and somewhat overwhelming aspect of Mars in Gemini and Neptune in Pisces, where you feel swamped by everything you need to accomplish and also by  all your feelings.  Deep breaths.  The Virgo new moon on the 2nd is a grounding force, and will help you organize through the overwhelm.  Use its creative and productive energy.  Right after the new moon, Mercury in Leo squares Uranus and your brain is fired up with ideas. On the 8th the Virgo Sun opposes Saturn and you feel stressed by work and responsibility, but take heart, a few days later the Virgo Sun squares Jupiter, and the Sun-Jupiter-Saturn aspect is actually very stabilizing and good for taking the long view.  You might think you are finishing a project and achieving completion, but honey, it’s only just begun.  Use Saturn and Jupiter to look ahead and develop a sound plan.  Mercury in Virgo opposes Saturn on the 17th, just in time for the Pisces full moon and partial eclipse on the 18th.  The Mercury Saturn aspect might make you tense and worried, and yes, I said a Pisces full moon.  It’s a big, emotional full moon that will exaggerate everyone’s feelings, especially yours.   And—Neptune lines up perfectly with the Sun and moon on this full moon, so … well… everything is everything, to quote Lauryn Hill.  No one will have any boundaries, everyone will be feeling the pain of the world. High emotional water, and high waters climate wise.  Plan for serious weather. Thank god, we get a breather when the Sun moves into Libra on the 22nd and it’s the Fall equinox.  Venus squares Pluto for a few days of looking deeply at your commitments and investments.  Then the month ends with a fun and convivial combination of the Sun, Mercury and the North Node. Enjoy.

ARIES (MAR 20-APRIL19)  September starts with a dreamy and inspiring angle between Mars and Neptune, which might mess with your to-do list but is otherwise fun. And in any case, the Virgo new moon on the 2nd will help that to-do list and then some. It is a beautiful and productive new moon, so use it.  Right after the new moon your head will clear with a Mercury-Uranus explosion of ideas.  On September 8th the Virgo Sun opposes Saturn for a few days of hard work and maybe some stress.  But by the 11th the Virgo Sun squares Jupiter as well, and the Saturn -Jupiter effect is balanced and grounded, taking the long view into account. If you have decisions to make, now is a good time.  Then on the 17th Mercury in Virgo opposes Saturn, and that is more mentally stressful, surfacing tightness and angst, exaggerated by the Pisces full moon and partial eclipse also on the 18th.  Yowza!  This Pisces full moon line sup exactly with Neptune, amplifying  the Piscean effect of high sensitivity and overwhelming feelings.  Everyone will be a mess-  there will be high emotional waters and very likely high actual water and flooding. Just sayin.  The Sun moves into your opposite sign of Libra on the 22nd, marking the Fall Equinox.  Venus squares Pluto for a few days of deep emotional work about examining commitments.  September ends with a convivial lineup of the Sun, Mercury and the North Nodes.

TAURUS (APR 20-MAY 20)  September is filled with the earthy energy of Virgo which complements your Taurus need to get stuff done. But first, September begins with a dreamy aspect of Mars and Neptune, great for physical movement but not so great for a clear head. The Virgo new moon falls on the 2nd, a  delicious lunation for planning, for artistic expression, and for self-care regimens. Right after the full moon Mercury in Leo squares Uranus, and your brain is back to its usual level of productivity.  On September 8th the Virgo Sun opposes Saturn for a couple days of work stress, but then by the 11th Jupiter gets involved. The Sun Jupiter Saturn line- up of angles will focus some decision making on your part.  It is a great aspect for wisdom, for balanced long -range thinking. Use it.  Then on the 17th Mercury in Virgo opposes Saturn for a few days of mental tension and crankiness, especially since it coincides with the Pisces full moon and partial eclipse.  This full moon is a big one, with very exact Neptune influences. People – including you– will be overwhelmed, sensitive, emotional, lacking boundaries, feeling the angst of the world.  A weekend meditation retreat would be good, but if not that, at least some good ol’  loving-kindness practice. And with all this emotional high water comes big climate water too, so expect serious weather.  On the 22nd the Sun enters Libra and it’s the Fall Equinox.   Venus in Capricorn squares Pluto for a few days during which you examine your commitments.  September ends with a chatty and convivial lineup of the Sun, Mercury, and the Lunar Nodes.
