SAGITTARIUS (NOV 22- DEC 21)  Well, what do you know, this month is quite nice for Sagittarians!  Venus and Mercury have been paired up together in Sag since mid November and they continue to march in tandem for the first few days of December. This is a delightful combination that makes you all sparky and convivial.  Not even Mars retrograde in Gemini  –which is 180 degrees from Mercury and Venus– can slow you down.  In fact Mars retrograde just makes you more forward looking and excited.  Saturn continues to pull away from Uranus so even though Uranus is still shaking up the planet, the general feeling of breakdown is far less intense.  Yay.  And at least until the 7^th there are so many planets in mutable signs that you are busy and enjoying every minute.  The full moon in Gemini falls late on the 7^th , and this is a powerful one for you one since it occurs in an exact lineup with Mars retrograde. In any full moon, of course, the Sun and Moon are exactly opposite, and in this one Mars retrograde is conjunct the Gemini Moon and they both oppose the Sagittarius Sun.  Wow!  We are halfway through the Mars retrograde transit and this is a turning point when the Mars energy that has been simmering has to get released—kind of like that Mauna Loa volcano in Hawai’i.   And god knows any full moon exaggerates and illuminates.  Expect the unexpected and expect some awareness to come to a head.  Avoid anger and argument around this lunation, but welcome the release of clarity about how to move forward.  After the full moon planets start moving into Capricorn and you get a bit more serious and focused.  Starting on the 18^th the Sagittarius Sun squares Jupiter as it moves out of Pisces, bringing a nice energy of fulfillment.  The closer we get to the Solstice on the 21^st  the more intense things get as the Sun and Jupiter line up with Uranus, all on the earth axis, the trigger point for the world.  You might feel a bit stressed although good things are happening.  Happy Solstice and the return of the light! The delicious Capricorn new moon falls on the 23^rd. It will be powerful since it pulls in influences of Jupiter and Uranus.  Then Mercury in Capricorn turns retrograde on the 29^th.  Keep in mind that things will feel especially odd with both Mercury and Mars retrograde….

CAPRICORN (Dec 21-Jan19)    After what seems like endless eons of astrological gloom I can can  finally write that things are looking up.  To be sure, there is still a lot of scary and unexpected dramatic turns to get through, but still…. The month begins with a continuation of the pretty Venus-Mercury conjunction in Sagittarius, which is great for conversation and conviviality, even though both planets oppose Mars retrograde in Gemini.   Yes, that’s a lot of mutable energy and  I haven’t even mentioned Jupiter and Neptune both in Pisces at the moment.    All this mutability might make you feel a bit antsy and distracted—all you can do is roll with it and continue to be inspired and even—dare I say it?—hopeful..  The December 7^th full moon in Gemini falls exactly opposite Mars retrograde, so you may feel a release of energy and find movement in some stuck places.  Go with it.  Mercury enters your sign on the 6^th and Venus follows on the 9t^h, and this dose of Capricorn will help you feel more purposeful in any case.  By the 18^th Jupiter at the tail end of Pisces squares the Sagittarius Sun, bringing completion and also change, since they line up with Uranus.   Then it’s the Winter Solstice on the 21^st, when the Sun enters your sign and we celebrate the return of the light!  Yay!  The 23^rd brings the delicious Capricorn new moon, and this one packs a punch as it lines with Jupiter and Uranus, intensifying its action and bringing some wild changes to the world.   Then Mercury in Capricorn turns retrograde  on the 29^th.  So — go with the flow go with the flow go with the flow. With both Mars and Mercury retrograde things will be slippery indeed!

AQUARIUS (JAN 20-FEB 19)   Well, well, I’m glad to say that the planetary energies are really shifting.  Although Saturn and Uranus are still in fixed signs of Aquarius and Taurus, those two planets are pulling out of their stressful angle, giving us relief in the angst department.  And—apart from Saturn, Uranus and the Lunar Nodes, almost everything else starts out this month in mutable signs.  The mutable signs are easy-breezy and future -oriented, and god knows you like that.   December begins with Mercury and Venus in Sagittarius in an opposition the Mars retrograde in Gemini.  This is an energetic and creative but highly distracting transit – no worries, it’s quick.  Then the Gemini full moon falls late on the 7^th, in an exact lineup with Mars retrograde and marking the midpoint of the Mars retrograde cycle, when energy must be released in some way.  The full moon itself will exaggerate the intensity and pressure you might feel to make a decision or take decisive action.  All this mutability will rev up your antsiness and impatience with the status quo.  Finally some Capricorn vibes get in the mix—Mercury enters Capricorn on the 6^th and Venus on the 9^th, so you feel more grounded.  Then on the 18^th Jupiter at the tail end of Pisces begins a week-long square to the Sun, bringing a sense of completion. Just be aware that they line up with Uranus and your pesky ruling planet is always full of surprises. Then the Sun enters Capricorn and it’s the Winter Solstice—yay! The delightful new moon in Capricorn—always excellent for earthy planning—falls on the 23^rd and lines up with Jupiter and Uranus.  It’s the turning of the wheel of fortune, things coming to an end and new things beginning… Mercury in Capricorn turns retrograde on the 29^th.  Hmm, Mars and Mercury retrograde at the same time, that’s kind of fun and unpredictable.

 PISCES (FEB 20-MAR 19)  Although the world is still reeling from Uranian disruption, things are beginning to feel different.  Whew!  Saturn is pulling away from its angle to Uranus so it feels less and less like things are imploding everywhere. And there are so many planets in mutable signs right now—Jupiter and Neptune in Pisces, Sun, Mercury, and Venus in Sagittarius, Mars retrograde in Gemini—that you feel an easing of tension. And that Mercury-Venus conjunction, so good for hanging out and being convivial. Not even its heavy angle to Mars retrograde can interfere.  Sure, you’re a bit spacey and distracted, but that influence is pretty fast.  Talk about mutable energy– the full moon in Gemini falls late on the 7^th, exactly on top of Mars retrograde, which is at its halfway mark.  This important point, when Mars retrograde opposes the Sun, always brings a release of energy, that will be particularly true on this one because of the full moon effect.  You’ll get some clarity about a plan of action – and definitely avoid struggle and argument around this full moon.  Then Venus and Mercury move into Capricorn, adding some much-needed earth to the fire- and -air dominance.  Things are quiet until December 18^th when Jupiter starts a week-long square to the Sun, as the Sun moves from Sag to Capricorn and Jupiter from Pisces back into Aries.  Yes, it’s the Winter Solstice on the 21^st,when the Sun enters Capricorn, marking the return of the light.  The Sun -Jupiter effect is about completion, but remember that it pulls in the effect of Uranus on the earth axis, so the changes and unexpected events continue.  The gorgeous Capricorn moon carries the Jupiter-Uranus effect, so it will a great moon for planning and for manifesting change. Mercury in Capricorn turns retrograde on the 29^th – oy very!  Go with the flow—with Mars also retrograde anything can happen!

ARIES (MAR 20-APRIL19)  Things are beginning to lighten up astrologically, thank god!  Saturn pulls away from Uranus this month, ending their stressful angle and easing your sense that we are on a collision course with disaster on every level.  With Uranus still on the earth axis, yes, there are still disasters and also positive changes as well. At the start of the December, there are so many planets in mutable signs, so there is a sense of movement, a sense that there we can imagine a future.  That’s all good!  Mercury and Venus in Sagittarius start the month in tandem and  oppose Mars retrograde in Gemini.  It’s a great combination for conviviality and sharing ideas.   The 7^th brings a powerful Gemini full moon that has the Sun and moon lined up exactly with Mars retrograde.  This Sun-Mars retro opposition marks the half way mark of the Mars retrograde transit, bringing a release of energy. Whatever has been simmering away on that back burner will fire up.  Watch out!  But with Mercury moving into Capricorn on the 6^th and Venus on the 9^th, there will be some earthy planful influences to inform your next steps.  On the 18^th the Sagittarius Sun moves into a weeklong square to Jupiter as the Sun moves into Capricorn and as Jupiter leaves Pisces and moves back to your sign of Aries.  Nice!  Something is coming to completion for you—just be aware that the Sun and Jupiter pull in Uranus too so there will be tumult and change.  The Winter Solstice is on the 21^st when the Sun enters Capricorn—yay.  The beautiful and generative Capricorn new moon falls on the 23^rd, along with those hefty Jupiter Uranus influences.  Be ready for change.  Mercury in Capricorn turns retrograde on the 29^th.  Better seriously go with the flow, since both Mars and Mercury are retrograde!

TAURUS (APR 20-MAY 20)  Hey there! The fixed-sign gridlock has eased! Woohoo!  Yes, Uranus is still in your sign, sitting on the earth axis, still bringing some surprises and disruptions but Saturn is moving at a clip away from its pesky angle to Uranus.  That’s the angle that made us all crazed.  So now the sky is awash in planets in mutable signs, easy, breezy, and you’re having some fun.  The month begins with that pretty Mercury Venus conjunction in Sagittarius, bringing easy communication and shared ideas, and hopefully music and art. It sits in opposition to Mars retrograde in Gemini – that’s a lot of creative energy and shared effort.  Then the Gemini full moon falls on the 7^th in an exact lineup with Mars retrograde.  This is a big transit, since the Sun Mars retrograde opposition is the halfway mark in the retrograde cycle, releasing a great deal of energy.  The release will be exaggerated by the full moon effect.  Ideas that have been napping and on hold since Mars turned retro at the end of October may need to get out of bed and get dressed.  Let’em rip!  Mercury enters Capricorn on the 6^th and Venus on the 9^th, so you get some earthiness to help you figure out how to move forward.  By the 18^th Jupiter in late Pisces begins a weeklong square to the Sun, bringing completion. CANCER  (JUNE 21- JULY 21)   Well, the planetary energies are starting to shift, as you can tell.  Although Uranus, still in Taurus and parked on the earth axis, is still wreaking some havoc and bringing the unexpected, Saturn is moving away from its stressful angle to Uranus.  We can breathe again!  So December begins with a pretty and fun conjunction of Mercury and Venus in Sagittarius, both opposing Mars retrograde in Gemini.   Use it for collaboration and creativity, for lots of good  expansive conversation.  The 7^th brings a powerful full moon in Gemini that line sup exactly with Mars retrograde.  This is a n important transit, signifying a turning point in the Mars retrograde cycle when energy gets clarified and released.  Don’t be surprised at finding yourself anting to take action, after having hung back since the end of October. Go for it.  Then on the 18^th Jupiter begins a potent square to the Sun, as Jupiter moves from Pisces into Aries and the Sun from Sagittarius into Capricorn.  This brings energy of fulfillment with some Uranus- inspired surprises thrown into the mix. LEO (JUL 22-AUG 21)  The heavy pressure of planets in fixed signs is easing up on you, thank god.  Things feel different, even though Uranus is still in Taurus on the earth axis, poking the planet and reminding us of our vulnerability.  Saturn is still in Aquarius, yes, but moving away from its angle to Uranus, the angle that has been making us so crazy for so long… Meanwhile the planets are giving us a big dose of mutable, adaptable, forward-looking energy.  Nice.  VIRGO (AUG 22- SEPT 21) You can celebrate the winds of change this month without half as much dread and stress. What a feeling!   Although Uranus is still shaking things up , Saturn is pulling away from its tight angle to Uranus and lessening the sense of crisis.  Meanwhile many planets have moved from fixed signs into mutable signs like yours and Gemini, Sagittarius, and Pisces.  We are swimming in mutable signs right now, signs of adaptability and possibility – and you like that.  December begins with a beautiful conjunction of Mercury and Venus in Sagittarius, convivial and charming, and Mars retrograde in Gemini opposes them. LIBRA (SEPT 22-OCT21)  What do you know, the planetary energy is shifting. SCORPIO (OCT 22-NOV 21)  No one knows better than you that change is the nature of the universe. So here we are, and things are ch-ch-ch-changing.  Uranus is still poking at the world and disrupting things, yes, but Saturn is moving away from Uranus and giving us all a break.  We are surrounded by planets in mutable signs, breathing new life into ideas and relationships and giving a sense pf possibility.  December begins with a pretty gorgeous Venus Mercury conjunction in Sagittarius opposing Mars retrograde in Gemini.  Yes, that’s a mouthful but it’s really fun – conversation, hanging out, creativity, art music, dance, collaboration.  Have fun with that.  The Gemini full moon comes right up on the 7^th, and it falls in the same degree as Mars retrograde.
