LIBRA (SEPT 22-OCT21) October is a very complicated month – what can I say? It begins with Mercury retrograde in Virgo at a standstill and in an exact opposition to Neptune, making you long on inspiration and spacey as hell. Definitely not a moment to make big decisions since Neptune can make things seem to be something other than what they are. The good news is that Mercury turns direct on the 2nd—woohoo!—while Venus in your sign opposes Jupiter. It’s a good time to bring something to fruition, so go for it. Venus is happy in your sign of Libra, one of the signs it rules, so you will be feeling at ease if you can stand all the global craziness. By the 6th things get a little loopy when Mars in Gemini squares Neptune, a transit that lasts a solid two weeks. This is a powerful combination because Mars is carrying Neptunian energy forward through ideas and words, which could be great if the focus is global consciousness and not so great if it is sowing misinformation. Use this combination to manifest a creative project. The 9th brings a full moon in your opposite sign of Aries, in a pretty lineup with Venus, so the moon is shining a light on your relationships and whose needs are being met. That’s all good but keep in mind that the Neptune effect makes truth slippery, or at best confusing. But Venus does move alongside the Sun for the rest of the month, which is a nice combination that should enhance everyone’s capacity to act more kindly. You’ll have a burst of energy and forward movement around the 17th thanks to Mars and the Sun—take advantage of it since Mars retrograde is right around the corner which could slow your plans down. By the 19th the Sun and Venus line up with Pluto for a few days of serious renegotiations of commitments. The Sun enters Scorpio on the 23rd, followed by the Scorpio new moon and partial eclipse on the 25th. You’ll be a bit, well, angsty. It is a powerful lunation, but try not to get carried away by obsessing about the subtexts of everything. We’ll have plenty of time to do that in November, just sayin. Then Mars in Gemini turns retrograde on the 30th. Oh jeez – you better really really really go with the flow. All that forward moving energy of yours might come to standstill. This retrograde lasts til early January. Deep breaths!

SCORPIO (OCT 22-NOV 21) As we head into your season things get predictably more intense for you and everyone else. The planetary action in fixed signs – the Saturn square to Uranus, to be specific– is powerfully exact this month, ramping up uncertainty. October begins with Mercury retrograde in Virgo opposing Neptune for a couple of days of your intuition in unchecked glory. Mercury then turns direct on the 2nd—whew! Venus in Libra opposes Jupiter so it is a good time to complete a project. By the 6th Mars in Gemini begins a two-week square to Neptune, which could be wonderful and also unsettling. It is a great combination if you can let Mars move Neptune’s energy forward in a positive way through creative and humanitarian effort. It is less productive if you spin in confused circles. Remember – there is a smoke -and -mirrors dance with Neptune so clarity is important. There is a powerful full moon in Aries on the 9th, channeling a lot of Venus influence which is great for feeling loving and loved, and better yet, the Sun pairs with Venus through the rest of the month. The Sun-Mars trine on the 17th inspires a spurt of activity on your part so let it rip—you’ll have no choice but to slow down when Mars turns retrograde on the 30th. The Sun and Venus square Pluto around the 19th, and you will want to get serious about commitments and resources. The Sun and Venus enter your sign of Scorpio on the 23rd, followed by an intense and juicy new moon in Scorpio and partial eclipse on the 25th. Use it for deep insight and for talking to your ancestors. Then Mars turns retrograde on the 30th, adding to the pileup of change and surprises that we all face… All you can do is roll with it. The retrograde lasts into early January.

SAGITTARIUS (NOV 22- DEC 21) October signals a stretch that is even more wild and chaotic than the last few months, believe it or not. It opens with Mercury retrograde in Virgo opposing Neptune. This combination is good for inspiration and might make you spacey, but at least it’s short-lived. Mercury then turns direct on the 2nd, thank god! (I don’t know how it was for you but this was a rough Mercury retrograde for this Sagittarian…) We get a few days of Venus in Libra opposing Jupiter at the month’s start—nice for easefulness and bringing something to completion. By the 6th Mars in Gemini begins a two week square to Neptune. Throw yourself into some movement – T’ai Chi, swimming, yoga, running, dancing, whatever—and get out of the rabbit holes of overthinking. This could be a confusing influence, so stay in your body and stay grounded. There is a big Aries full moon on the 9th with pretty Venus aspects. Celebrate all that loving-kindness. You will be inclined to throw yourself into action around the 16th when Mars and the Sun make a nice angle, only to be redirected at the end of the month when Mars goes retrograde, but I get ahead of myself. The Sun and Venus pair up for the entire rest of October, which is sweet, and god knows we will need sweetness this month. Saturn and Uranus are in an exact angle, continuing to wreak havoc. By the 19th the Sun and Venus make an angle to Pluto, inspiring you to get some commitments clarified and make some decisions about where you’re putting your resources. The Sun and Venus enter Scorpio on the 23rd, followed by a luscious new moon and eclipse in Scorpio on the 25th. Dig deeply inward and gain some insight into how to roll with Mars retrograde, which happens on the 30th. Mars retrograde will be in Gemini, your opposite sign, and could have a significant impact on you. You need to go with the flow in a big way!

CAPRICORN (Dec 21-Jan19) October is a helluva month, just sayin, and it ushers in more of the same for the rest of the fall. It begins with a transit of Mercury retrograde in Virgo to Neptune, so don’t be surprised if you’re a space cadet. You’ll be happy that Mercury turns direct on October 2nd , easing the miscommunication and missed appointments. Venus in Libra opposes Jupiter for a few days at the start of the month, inspiring you to bring something to fruition. By the 6th things get complicated when Mars in Gemini enters a two-week square to Neptune. Mars and Neptune move a lot of energy so be mindful of your forcefield. You will be able to talk anyone into anything during this period! Then there is a big Aries full moon on the 9th that lines up with Venus, putting the focus on relationships and what you really want. In fact, the Sun pairs up with Venus for the rest of the month which should help everyone be more grounded in humanistic values. On the 16th Mars makes a nice angle to the Sun, and you are able to throw yourself into projects with gusto. Take advantage of it now because Mars retrograde at the end of the month might just slow you down. By the 19th the Sun and Venus square Pluto and you will be grappling with questions about where you’re putting energy and resources. The Sun and Venus enter Scorpio on the 23rd, and then here comes a juicy Scorpio new moon and eclipse on the 25th. You’ll be all deep and serious, wanting to commit yourself to someone or something. Then Mars in Gemini turns retrograde on the 30th, ushering in a season of weirdness during which things may not go as planned and you may want to do that Mountain-goat thing and completely change direction.

AQUARIUS (JAN 20-FEB 19) This is a complicated month but goes slightly more easily for you than on others – that is, as long as the square of Saturn in Aquarius to Uranus isn’t walloping you. October begins with a pass of Mercury retrograde to Neptune, good for intuition and insight but pretty loopy otherwise. Mercury turns direct on the 2nd, thank god. Venus in Libra opposes Jupiter for a few days of fun and fulfillment so enjoy. By the 6th pesky Mars in Gemini starts a two-week square to Neptune. Use it for creative inspiration and to get back in touch with your body: go back to the gym, get that yoga mat out of the closet, go swimming. There is a powerful Aries full moon on the 9th with a pretty Venus influence. Love up on your peeps. In fact, Venus pairs up with the Sun for the entire rest of October, which is a nice thing and will hopefully inspire people to behave more kindly to each other. By the 16th Mars makes a nice angle to the Sun and you want to fly into action and tackle something. Take advantage of your burst of energy, since Mars turns retrograde at the end of the month and you might run into some roadblocks then…On the 19th the Sun and Venus square Pluto and it is a good time to reassess investments of time and energy and money. The Sun and Venus enter Scorpio on the 23rd, and then here comes the Scorpio new moon and eclipse on the 25th. Use it to find your passion and values. Mars in Gemini goes retrograde on the 30th , starting weeks and weeks of more weirdness and unexpected re-routing of plans.

So spectral and other worldly, just like its astrological meaning…
PISCES (FEB 20-MAR 19) Yowza! You thought the last few months were intense but October ushers in even more weirdness, in part thanks to your planet Neptune. The month begins with Mercury retrograde in Virgo opposing Neptune, making you inspired but spacey. At the same time Venus in Libra opposes Jupiter and you are able bring a plan to fruition. By the 6th Mars in Gemini begins a two-week square to Neptune, which is …umm.. complicated. On the one hand, Mars will be moving forward Neptunian connection and “substance of we feeling,” and on the other, it can sow confusion. The best strategy is to use Mars to move your creative energy, and also your physical energy. Get outside, go swimming, go dancing. Get out of your feverish and fretting Piscean head. Then there is a nice full moon in Aries on the 9th that lines up with Venus. Just let yourself feel good and mushy. In fact, Venus pairs up with the Sun for the entire month, which should knock some humanistic sense into people. God knows we need that, especially in light of the Saturn Uranus square and everything else that is rocking our planet. By the 16th you want to throw yourself into a project. Let it rip. Use the energy of Mars direct now because by the 30th its retrograde might slow you down. By the 19th the Sun and Venus line up with Pluto and you are looking at commitments of resources and energy and time. Mars in Gemini turns retrograde on the 30th and plans may not go as you thought. It lasts all the way into January and is nothing if not interesting.

ARIES (MAR 20-APRIL19) Things are about to get a lot crazier—what can I say? October begins with a pass of Mercury retrograde in Virgo over Neptune, and thinsg you thought you knew for sure you don’t know. All you can do is go with it. At least it’s only a few days, and Mercury turns direct on October 2nd, thank god, so things should go more smoothly. At the same time Venus in Libra opposes Jupiter in Aries, bringing you completion and fulfillment of an effort. Things get seriously wonky on the 6th when Mars in Gemini begins a two week square to Neptune, which means that Neptune will be energized by Mars and packing a punch. Keep track of your force field, especially around the Aries full moon on the 9th, because you will be unstoppable Use Mars and Neptune to help you move ideas and plans forward as long as they are grounded in a universal vision and sense of connection. You can do that, right? Then on the 16th Mars makes an important aspect to the Sun and you will be inclined to throw yourself into action. Let it rip, let your ruling planet inspire you – keep in mind that you might get a bit redirected when Mars goes retrograde on the 30th. On the 19th the Sun and Venus – which are paired up for most of the month—square Pluto, and you will feel inclined to reevaluate your outlay of time, energy, and resources. The Sun and Venus enter Scorpio on the 23rd, followed by the Scorpio new moon and partial eclipse on the 25th. This is a powerful lunation which should pull you inward, a good set up to when your ruling planet Mars goes retrograde on the 30th. Your outward-facing energy may suddenly be redirected. You must go with the flow!
