CANCER  (JUNE 21- JULY 21)   July starts off with some intensity. Mars in Leo gets in the mix with Saturn and Uranus, just in time for the 4^th of July.  Saturn and Uranus are already volatile enough and Mars is likely to spark some fires—and I mean that literally.  It is a good combination for painting your house or cleaning out your basement , or perhaps setting up new accounting software—in other words, it’s good for focused, detail-oriented work.  Expect some surprises, though, and be careful to avoid arguments. This combination brings a certain amount of tension – people are edgy.  By the 5^th Mercury in Gemini makes an angle to Neptune for a few days of dreaminess and strong intuition and creativity. By the 8^th Venus in Leo gets close to Mars and they move together until the 19^th or so.  Venus and Mars are a nice combination, so use them for shared activity with others, and certainly for creative expression. They bring a lot of ardor to whatever you’re doing.   From the 8^th-10^th Mars and Venus square Uranus so expect the unexpected but do expect to feel antsy and eager for something new in your life.  That ardor and desire for new could show up as flirtation, so enjoy!  The Cancer new moon falls late on the 9^th, and this deliciously mushy new moon will crystallize this Venus/Mars/Uranus desire for new and exciting that you’re feeling. On the 15^th the Sun gets into position opposite Pluto, and you will feel stressed about the state of the world. Avoid power struggles and argument.  There are many people seeking to throw their weight around, and you should employ the Cancerian strategy of the crab -like sideways scuttle.  Just plain get out of the way.  The Sun enters Leo on the 22^nd, just in time for a pretty opposition between Venus and Jupiter for a few days.  The Aquarius full moon falls on the 23^rd, and the Venus-Jupiter action makes it a fun and satisfying lunation.   Then Mars opposes Jupiter by the 28^th, once Venus has moved away.  Nice! Life will feel good for the last several days of the month, with fun and satisfying interchange with people and a positive sense of accomplishment.

LEO (JUL 22-AUG 21)  Yowza!  You have a quite a month.  July begins with Mars in Leo opposing Saturn and squaring Uranus, putting some fire into this already tumultuous combination.  You are bringing a lot of energy to a lot of things right now, so be mindful of your impact on others.  You are sparking lots of activity and ideas, igniting people for good or for ill.  Don’t forget for a minute that these three planets are all in fixed signs of Taurus, Leo and Aquarius, and so that can feel like you’re running head first into some walls. Try to avoid struggle and arguments. Everyone is edgy and you may be digging your heels in more than you realize. At the same time this planetary combination gives you the strength and focus to move some mountains, so go for it.  By the 6^th Mercury in Gemini makes an angle to Neptune for a few days where you can’t tell what is up—information is murky and you can’t get clarity.  Just go with it. Also by the 6^th Venus in Leo opposes Saturn and makes an angle to Uranus, making you itchy as hell for change.  By the 8^th Venus catches up to Mars and they move in tandem for the following 10 days.  These two planets work well together and in turn help you play well with others, so use this stretch for collaboration and shared effort.  The juicy Cancer new moon falls on the 9^th, with Venus and Mars lined up with Uranus for some visionary and thrilling activity.  It’s time to envision a new chapter for yourself.  On the 15^th the Sun opposes Pluto for a few days of global angst.  Just breathe through it. Then the Sun enters your sign of Leo on the 22^nd, just as Venus makes an angle to Jupiter.  Nice!—especially if your birthday is in the first couple of  days of Leo. The Venus-Jupiter effect is happy and expansive.  The Aquarius full moon is on the 23^rd—ooh la la, now that’s fun.  Enjoy yourself!  By the 28^th Mars in Leo opposes Jupiter, bringing accomplishment and a sense of achievement through the end of the month.

VIRGO (AUG 22- SEPT 21)   July begins with some tension. Saturn and Uranus are still in a close angle, and so there is a feeling of oh my, what else can happen.  At the start of the month Mars in Leo gets in the mix with them, adding some volatility.  Although it is a good time to get work done, people are edgy and you should avoid arguments because everyone wants to prove a point. Mercury in Gemini squares Neptune for a few days starting on the 6^th. This is great for your creative inspiration but it might complicate communication since it makes things a bit unclear.  The good news is that Venus is just behind Mars and by the 8^th catches up to Mars in Leo.  They move together for the next 10-11 days, bringing a wonderful energy of collaboration and shared effort.  But when they first join up they make angles to Saturn and Uranus, bringing antsiness and a big desire for freedom and change.  In fact, expect to feel very unsettled on the new moon in Cancer on the 9^th.  Although this is a delicious and juicy new moon it will exaggerate this desire for change you are feeling.  Use the new moon to generate new clarity for yourself about this urgency for change. On the 15^th  the Sun opposes Pluto for a few heavy days of concern about the state of the world.  Venus enters your sign on the 21^st and opposes Jupiter, while the Sun enters Leo on the 22^nd, just in time for the Aquarius full moon on the 23^rd.  The Venus Jupiter effect is delicious for relationships and connections, and that Aquarius full moon should bring celebration and fun.  Enjoy!   By the 28^th Mars moves into position with Jupiter, closing out the month with a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment.

LIBRA (SEPT 22-OCT21) Well, at least Mercury isn’t retrograde! (That’s supposed to make you feel better!) July is a bit chunky.  It begins with Mars in Leo opposing Saturn and squaring Uranus.  By now we should be used to the dramatic swings of the Saturn-Uranus effect but having Mars in the mix makes it more combustible.  It gives you the ability to harness some serious focus, even as you’re feeling the Uranian edge of tension and apprehension.  By the 5^th  Mercury in Gemini  squares Neptune for a few days of  dreamy creative inspiration but making you easily distractible. The good news is that by the 8^th Venus in Leo catches up to Mars and they move in tandem for the next ten days or so. This is a beautiful combination for shared effort and collaboration.  It just starts off a little oddly because they both pull in the Saturn-Uranus effect for a few days, including on the July 9^th new moon in Cancer. This is a deep-feeling, mushy new moon, but the Uranus effect makes you antsy for change and wanting to take some risks.  Use the new moon to focus this energy and get some clarity.  Enjoy the 10 days of the Venus-Mars conjunction but expect a dip in your spirits around the 15^th when the Sun opposes Pluto for a few days of feeling like you want to hide in your bed.    The Sun enters Leo on the 22^nd, just in time for a delicious Venus-Jupiter opposition, including on the Aquarius full moon of July 23^rd. Have fun with that!  It’s all about relationships and conviviality.   Then on the 28^th Mars opposes Jupiter and ends the month with a sense of completion and accomplishment.

SCORPIO (OCT 22-NOV 21)  July brings some clunky aspects, especially at the start of the month, and these aspects square off against your Scorpio self, creating some aggravation indeed.  Mars in Leo mixes it up with Saturn and Uranus for the first several days of July, adding some combustibility to an already tense situation.  Be careful to avoid conflict. Meanwhile on the 5^th Mercury in Gemini makes an angle to Neptune and you need to use your spider senses to figure out the truth, because something is just too murky. The good news is that by the 8^th Venus gets in the picture as it catches up to Mars in Leo. They spend the next ten days moving forward in Leo—this is  a delightful combination for collaboration and shared effort.  It is just the first few days of it that are unsettled because of the Saturn Uranus effect, which is very strong on the Cancer new moon on the 9^th.   You’re filled with a desire for change, and you want everyone on board with you.  Use the new moon to get clarity about what kind of change you are seeking. Enjoy the Venus-Mars conjunction—you will get a lot done.  Expect some global stress around the 15^th when the Sun opposes Pluto.  Breathe and pray your way through it. The Sun enters Leo on the 22^nd, just in time for a pretty Venus-Jupiter opposition and a fun Aquarius full moon on the 23rd.  Now you can really relax and enjoy friends and family.  Have some fun, celebrate.  Mars in Leo opposes Jupiter by the 28^th, allowing you to close out the month with a sense of accomplishment.

SAGITTARIUS (NOV 22- DEC 21)  July is an odd month, starting out with intensity and combustibility, as Mars in Leo gets involved with Saturn and Uranus for the first few days.  On the one hand you have a lot of focus and can get things done, and on the other, you’re worried about what else could go wrong in the world… Even if you are tempted to argue, steer clear of conflict with this Mars/Saturn/Uranus business.  Not a good time to wrangle with anyone about anything. Mercury in Gemini squares Neptune for a few days on the 5^th and so you are spacey but inspired.  It’s  a good time for creative vision.  By the 8^th Venus in Leo catches up to Mars and they move forward together in Leo for about 10 days.  This is a nice combination for collaboration and shared activity, so enjoy it.  Be aware, however, that Venus and Mars start out in an angle to Saturn and Uranus, stimulating a certain amount of antsiness and desire for change, especially on the Cancer new moon on the 9^th. This is a mushy and sensitive moon, so your feelings might be all over the place—one minute needy and the next wanting freedom.   Use the new moon energy to get some clarity about what it is you’d like to be different,  and try to avoid being too reactive.  Expect some heavy days around the 15^th when the Sun opposes Pluto and you’re fretting about the world.  Venus enters Virgo on the 21^st  and opposes Jupiter and the Sun enters Leo on the 22^nd, just in time for the Aquarius full moon on the 23^rd. Now we’re talking!! Venus and Jupiter bring really satisfying emotional connections, and that Aquarian full moon is all about fun. Enjoy!  Then on the 28^th Mars in Leo opposes Jupiter, and you end the month feeling good about what you’re accomplishing.

CAPRICORN (Dec 21-Jan19)  I hope you have a good meditation practice set up, because at least the start of the month would be well spent on a meditation cushion. There are intense aspects for the first few days of July, with Mars in Leo complicating the already complicated Saturn-Uranus square.  You are feeling the stress of the planet, and Mars is stirring things up just in time for the US July 4^th holiday.  Meanwhile by the 5^th Mercury squares Neptune, a great aspect for spiritual practices as it happens, so stay in that cushion lest you be aggravated by flaky communication.  But here is some good news:  Venus in Leo catches up to Mars by the 8^th and they march forward hand in hand for the next ten days. This is a beautiful combination for collaboration and shared effort, so enjoy.  Just be aware that for the first few days of this aspect both planets are involved with Saturn and Uranus, stimulating a desire for change and freedom, especially on the Cancer new moon on the 9^th.  This is an important new moon for you, since it falls in your opposite sign, so use it to gain some clarity about this urge for freedom you’re feeling.   The only difficult spot ahead is around the 15^th when the Sun in Cancer opposes Pluto in Capricorn, and you might be inclined to be heavy handed and throw your weight around. Keep an eye on your force field!  The Sun enters Leo on the 22^nd, just in time for a beautiful Venus-Jupiter opposition and the full moon in Aquarius. Now it’s time for some fun, to enjoy relationships and really relax!  By the 28^th Mars opposes Jupiter and you end the month feeling really good about what you’re accomplishing. That’s a perfect feeling for a Capricorn!

AQUARIUS (JAN 20-FEB 19)  Oy.  The month begins with some stress, I am sorry to say. Mars in Leo gets in the mix with Saturn in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus, crystallizing conflict for you with someone or something.   These planets, all in fixed signs, tend to polarize, so be careful of digging your heels into a position.   This is stress you don’t need right now, and soon Venus will bring some relief. There is also  the confusing energy of Mercury and Neptune which make an angle starting on the 5^th, clouding information and intentions.  So take deep breaths, and wait til the 8^th, when Venus catches up to Mars in Leo, and they spend the next ten days moving in tandem.  This is a beautiful aspect for shared effort and collaboration.  The start of the Venus-Mars conjunction, however, does fall on Saturn and Uranus, sparking antsiness and a desire for freedom on your part, especially on the Cancer new moon on the 9^th.  This is a mushy and deep-feeling moon, so let those feelings bubble up and clarify where you need freedom in your life.  Expect some global gloom and doom for a few days around the 15^th, when the Sun opposes Pluto.  Then the Sun enters Leo on the 22^nd, just in time for a delightful Venus-Jupiter opposition and the full moon in your own sign of Aquarius on the 23^rd. PISCES (FEB 20-MAR 19)  July starts with some intensely frustrating aspects  as Mars in Leo gets into it with the Saturn-Uranus square. It feels like moving forward is difficult, but there is actually the potential for tremendous focus and getting things done, as long as  you can allow for unexpected setbacks.  Be careful of argument and conflict during the  first few days of July—it’s not a good idea to dig your heels in about anything.  By the 5th Mercury in Gemini squares Neptune in your sign of Pisces, a great combination for dreamy spaciness but could make for confusion in communication.  The good news is that by the 8^th Venus in Leo catches up to Mars and they move forward in tandem for about ten days.  This is a great aspect for collaboration and shared effort, for passionate action.  Just keep in mind that when Venus and Mars get together on the 8^th they are involved with the Saturn-Uranus angle, generating a lot of unsettledness, antsiness, and unfocused desires. TAURUS (APR 20-MAY 20)  The start of July is so weird and challenging that a meditation retreat is really the best option.  Or perhaps painting the house.  Mars in Leo gets into the mix with the Saturn Uranus square, raising tensions and the potential for conflict.  People are on edge and it is not a time to engage.  But Mars and Saturn are  a wonderful combination for focus as long as Uranian stimulation isn’t too distracting, so it is possible to get a lot done in the first few days of July.  On the 5^th Mercury in Gemini squares Neptune for a couple of days of dreamy inspiration.  Then on the 8^th Venus in Leo catches up to Mars and they move ahead in Leo in tandem for about the next 10 days.  This is excellent for working together with others, for collaborations and shared passions.  Keep in mind that this aspect begins with heavy Saturn Uranus influences, so you will feel inspired but antsy, desiring freedom and change.  The mushy Cancer new moon is on the 9^th,  so use the new moon to gain clarity about what you’d like to change  in your life.  Then expect some global angst on the 15^th when the Sun opposes Pluto for a few days; you may also find yourself in power struggles that you want to avoid.   The Sun enters Leo on the 22^nd and there is a delightful Venus-Jupiter opposition, just in time for the Aquarius full moon on the 23^rd.  Be sure to enjoy friends and loved ones, have some fun, and relax. GEMINI (MAY 21-JUNE 20)  Well, you might feel a bit frustrated at the start of  July ,  as Mars in Leo gets into it with the Saturn-Uranus square. Although moving forward is difficult on the one hand, on the other Mars and Saturn actually bring the potential for tremendous focus and getting things done.
