TAURUS (APR 20-MAY 20)   We are in the Taurus time—yay! – and you are graced with a pretty delightful month.  May begins with the Taurus Sun in the exact same spot as Uranus, and they both square Saturn.  You get a few days of embodying this powerful and revolutionary aspect – you go right ahead and channel your inner Elizabeth Warren or Pope Francis. You are full of ideas and vision, and have the ability to see openings where others see barriers. Of course, sleeping might be difficult and you are kinda keyed up.   By the 7th Venus in your own sign makes a pretty angle to Jupiter for a few days of connection and juicy relatedness, just in time for the fertile Taurus new moon on the 11th. This lunation – always good for creative inspiration and for planting—also has a nice Mercury-Lunar Node lineup that emphasizes positive communication with loved ones.  (See what I mean—it’s a nice month!)  Jupiter leaves Aquarius this month and inches into Pisces on the 13th where it hangs out for a few months.  By the 18th Jupiter is in spitting distance to an angle to the Taurus Sun, which is great for completion and fulfillment.  Meanwhile Venus in Gemini catches up to the Lunar Nodes.  Love is in the air.  The Sun enters Gemini on the 20th and now its angle to Jupiter in Pisces is quite exact til the 24th.   Some things are ending and new things beginning; it’s the end of one cycle and the start of another.   Mercury in Gemini makes an angle to Neptune and you are full of inspiration—sit down and work on that novel or go on a meditation retreat.  The Sagittarius full moon (and eclipse!) falls on the 26th, and it’s a big one, because of Jupiter’s influence and also Venus and Mercury in an angle to Neptune.  You are feeling expansive, visionary, and creative. Use it to bring a project to fruition.   But oh, did I mention that Mercury goes retrograde on the 29th?  Retrograde in its own sign of Gemini, no less. Make sure you have your “find my Phone “ app turned on—just sayin.  Prepare to be annoyed!

GEMINI (MAY 21-JUNE 20)  Oh honey.  This is an interesting month – good and weird and maybe a tad stressful! May begins with a few days of the Taurus Sun catching up to Uranus in Taurus, and they both make an angle to Saturn.  So the impact of the Saturn-Uranus intensity is very strong, pulling you between poles of should you or shouldn’t you throw caution to the wind, restructure your life, make a dramatic change.  As a Gemini, you can bounce between those poles pretty easily. Don’t stress—use this time to get some clarity. By the 7th Venus in Taurus makes a nice angle to Jupiter, so you’re feeling grounded and secure in your relationships.  Mercury enters Gemini on the 3rd, and Venus on the 8th.  The 11th brings the delicious and productive new moon in Taurus with some excellent communication aspects.  It’s time to have those difficult conversations you’ve been avoiding.  Jupiter enters Pisces on the 13th, where it spends a few months before retrograding back into Aquarius. By the 18th it gets into position to make an angle to the Sun, bringing you a deep urge to transition in or out of something.   Patience, grasshopper!  On the 18th Venus in Gemini catches up to the Lunar Nodes for a few days that are all about intimacy.  Enjoy.  The Sun enters your own sign on the 20th and – wait for it—and its angle to Jupiter in Pisces is very exact that day and close enough for the next few days.  Here comes the end of one cycle and the beginning of another.  You are really aware of how much you have and what you still need to address to feel complete.  These feelings will get more intense in the run-up to the Sagittarius full moon and eclipse on the 26th and aided by the  line-up of Mercury and Venus to Neptune.   Autonomy or commitment—what’s a girl to do? Remember that Sagittarians don’t like to be pinned down.   This full moon will have a big effect on you!   Go for broke. Go big or go home!   Then on the 29th your ruling planet Mercury turns retrograde in your own sign…. This could be a challenging Merc retrograde for you in the communication and electronics department…. Back up your hard drive lest your cat spills a gin and tonic on your laptop. Just sayin’.

CANCER  (JUNE 21- JULY 21)   May is an interesting month!  First, Mars is cruising through your sign of Cancer all month, giving you a sense of purpose and energy. The month begins with a few days of the Taurus Sun and Uranus sitting together and making an angle to Saturn.  It is a good time to restructure and let go of things from the past that are holding you back.  By the 7th  Venus in Taurus makes a nice angle to Jupiter—enjoy feeling connected to people and community.  Then it’s time for the gorgeous Taurean new moon on May 11th.  Time to plant –  get yourself into the garden!  And time to plan earthy, grounding activities of all kinds.   There is also a beautiful lineup of Mercury in Gemini with the Lunar Nodes on the new moon, emphasizing communication.  By the 18th the Taurus Sun makes an angle to Jupiter, and you are considering the next phase of your life.  You have a nagging sense that there is change afoot, that there is something else you need to be doing.  Just let it bubble up—things will get clearer as Jupiter continues its work this month.  Meanwhile Venus in Gemini catches up the Lunar Nodes and you’re enjoying connections and relationships.  The Sun enters Gemini on the 20th and its angle to Jupiter gets very very close, highlighting this sense that change and fulfillment are close at hand.  This feels more urgent as we approach the Sagittarius full moon and eclipse on the 26th.  This is a big lunation, with strong Venus-Mercury aspects to Neptune.  You feel inspired and creative and you want it all—you want fulfillment now.  Let the full moon illuminate what it is you still need and want in your life.  Then Mercury in Gemini turns retrograde on the 29th, bringing 3 weeks of missed appointments but lots of dreamy intuition.     Go with it.

It wont be hard to think big as we approach the Sagittarius full moon and eclipse on the 26th.  It is an expansive full moon because it’s in Sag and because Venus and Mercury line up with Neptune. Let your creative and visionary juices flow and guide you as you consider this question of fulfillment.  What do you have? And what do you want?  Then Mercury in Gemini turns retrograde on the 29th, ushering in three weeks of dreamtime and perhaps some tech problems…

VIRGO (AUG 22- SEPT 21)   May begins with the strong influence of change and the unexpected, as the Taurus Sun catches up to Uranus and they both aspect Saturn. You’re feeling open to change yet the Saturn-Uranus dynamic is one that can make you feel torn between poles.  Should I do it or not? Should I take a risk or stay with what I know?  Just let the planets do their thing and clarity will emerge.  By the 7th Venus in Taurus makes a pretty angle to Jupiter for a few days of connection and relatedness. The May 11th Taurus new moon is a gorgeous one, all scrumptiously earthy, great for planning and for planting too.  Get out in the garden!  The new moon brings Mercury and the Lunar Nodes, emphasizing communication and interchange.  If there are conversations you’ve needed to have now is the time.  On the 18th the Taurus Sun gets into position with Jupiter and you become aware of the cycles of life—something is ending and something else is beginning.  You’re on the verge of completion, which is a poignant place to be in.  Venus catches up to the Lunar Nodes, bringing intimacy to the fore.  The Sun enters Gemini on the 20th and its angle to Jupiter gets very exact.  If your birthday is at the beginning of Virgo, you will feel this sense of completion and fulfillment very strongly, but given all the mutable energy in the sky at this point, any Virgo will feel it.  Change is afoot, and clarity about it comes with the Sagittarius full moon and eclipse on the 26th. This expansive full moon has Mercury and Venus in aspect to Neptune – great for creative output and also for wanting everything to fall into place in a big way.  Remember – there no such thing as perfection but wholeness is within reach and you can taste it.   Your ruling planet Mercury turns retrograde on the 29th for 3 weeks of some missed steps in communication and timing.
