 CANCER  (JUNE 21- JULY 21)  Well, July is quite dramatic, since it kicks off with a major solar eclipse on the July 2^nd new moon, bringing all kinds of emotional intensity your way.  That said, new moons are great for focusing and initiating, especially this juicy, watery one in your sign of Cancer. Meanwhile Mars and Mercury pair up together in the early degrees of Leo the first week, making you very active indeed.  You’re a busy little bee. Early in the second week they square Uranus, making the energy more fractious.  Be careful with sharp objects!  And oh yeah, did I mention that Mercury turns retrograde on the 7^th?  It starts out in Leo and reaches back into Cancer by the 19^th.  Hmm, you’ll feel this for sure,  but let the non-linear movement of Mercury guide you and don’t fight any of your intuitions.  Jupiter and Neptune spend the first two weeks of July still in their squared position, messing with plans and schedules, so between this dynamic and Mercury retrograde be prepared for all kinds of changes.  LEO (JUL 22-AUG 21)  July is an odd month that requires some amount of patience from you….not your strong suit, I know!  It began with that intense new moon and solar eclipse on the 2^nd, exaggerating the impact of the tense Mercury-Mars pair-up in Leo.  Mercury and Mars stimulate a lot of activity and busy-ness in you, and they also surface some scrappiness, especially by the second week of July when they make an angle to Uranus. And– Mercury turns retrograde on the 7^th for the rest of the month.  You’re a bit edgy and you don’t know why.  Be careful with those power tools if you decide you just have to grab that electric hedge trimmer and go at it…. Jupiter and Neptune continue their angle for the first half of the month, making you prone to even more exuberance than usual.   Things get mighty interesting the week of the 14^th,  when the Sun in Cancer opposes Pluto, just in time for a Capricorn full moon and lunar eclipse on the 16^th.  Meanwhile Venus in Cancer opposes Saturn.  People are cranky and also throwing their weight around, not a pretty combination.   Mercury retrograde is likely to bring some unexpected information to light about abuses of power. VIRGO (AUG 22- SEPT 21)  What a month!  It begins with the big juicy new moon and eclipse in Cancer on the 2^nd. If nothing else, that brings some emotional intensity. Meanwhile Mercury and Mars pair up in the early degrees of Leo, and so you are busy and productive.  Keep in mind that Mercury turns retrograde on the 7^th and both Mercury and Mars make an angle to Uranus that second week of July, upping the possibility for impatience. So watch your words, and be careful with sharp objects!   Then by the 14^th we see more globally unnerving dynamics, as the Sun in Cancer opposes Pluto just in time for the lunar eclipse on the 16^th.  Venus is also in an opposing angle to Saturn. There is fear and mistrust in the air, and people are unnerved.  LIBRA (SEPT 22-OCT21)  July brings us some powerful dynamics, beginning with the intense Cancer new moon and eclipse on the 2^nd, a juicy one for deep feeling about issues of home and family.  Mercury and Mars are moving in tandem in the early degrees of Leo, a forceful combination that can get fractious once they make an angle to Uranus the week of the 7^th.  Oy!! And mercury goes retrograde on the 7^th for the rest of the month, so get ready for dreamtime. The Jupiter-Neptune effect of utter uncertainty gets somewhat better as the month goes on.  But the week of the 14^th brings us another round of threatening and repressive global shenanigans when the Sun in Cancer opposes Pluto on the Capricorn full moon July 16^th.  Again, oy.  And Venus opposes Saturn at the same time.  People will be freaked, and on a personal level, you’re likely to feel anxious and unsettled, looking for security and feeling mistrustful.  Not a pretty picture.  However, you can count on Mercury retrograde to reveal something that needs to be revealed, and the week of the 20^th the Sun-Mercury retrograde contact makes communication and commitment the name of the game. Dive deeply into some very honest dialogue, aided by Venus opposing Pluto. Then the Sun enters Leo on the 22^nd, and a few days later makes an angle to Uranus.  You feel sparky and ready for action.  Mercury turns direct on the 31^st.

SCORPIO (OCT 22-NOV 21) Hmm, a month with two eclipses – you might just be in Scorpio heaven in light of the intensity they bring.  July begins with a powerful new moon and eclipse in Cancer, a great lunation for intuitive imagining.  Mercury and Mars pair up in Leo right at the start of the month, making you busy and productive and perhaps even a bit argumentative, especially the week of the 7^th when Uranus gets in the picture.  Mercury turns retrograde on the 7^th for the entire rest of the month, so expect plans and to be particularly changeable and communication to be slippery.  The week of the 14^th brings a potent full moon and eclipse in Capricorn that draws in heavy Pluto aspects while Venus opposes Saturn.  People may throw their weight around and make demands of you that they don’t know they are making – especially the Capricorns in your life.  People are generally needier than they are letting on and Mercury retrograde makes communication absolutely squirrelly.  My advice is for you to lay low.  The week of the 20^th should bring some breakthroughs in communication when the Sun crosses paths with Mercury retrograde and Venus gets in line with Pluto.  It is time for deep honesty and intimacy.    The Sun enters Leo on the 22^nd and in a few days makes an angle to Uranus, revving you up and making you antsy for change.  Remember – no big decisions while Mercury is retrograde—it turns back around on the 31^st.

SAGITTARIUS (NOV 22- DEC 21)  July should be easier on you than June was, so that is something!  The slipperiness and too-muchness of your life should ease as Jupiter and Neptune separate from their angle…But—Mercury does go retrograde on the 7^th so be sure to take care of your technology before the 7^th.  I get ahead of myself! It is an intense month with two eclipses, the first was the new moon in Cancer on the 2^nd, dreamy and weird.  Mercury and Mars pair up in Leo at the start of the month making you busy and a bit irritable, especially the week of the 7^th when they make an angle to Uranus.   Keep a lid on your impulse to lash out with your words and opinions. Mercury is retrograde, after all, and you could blunder in spectacular Sagittarian fashion!  Things get a bit crazy the week of the 14^th, when the Sun opposes Pluto just in time for the Capricorn full moon and eclipse on the 16^th.  Yowza!  This is a potent one, between the emerging power of Pluto and the strength of Venus opposing Saturn.  It is a time to dig deeply into your values. CAPRICORN (Dec 21-Jan19)  July is an intense month for you, starting with the emotionally potent Cancer new moon and eclipse on the 2^nd.  Mars and Mercury are paired up in Leo at the start of the month, and you’re busy and taking care of business.  Keep in mind that Mercury goes retrograde on the 7^th and so you may find yourself too dreamy to get much done. Mercury and Mars catch up to an angle to Uranus and you might be impatient.  Stay away from arguments—Mars and Mercury can show up as “fightin’ words.”  Then the week of the 14^th brings some challenging dynamics your way as the Sun in Cancer opposes Pluto in Capricorn, just in time for the Capricorn full moon and lunar eclipse on the 16th.  You may be a tad overwrought—this full moon will highlight power struggles. AQUARIUS (JAN 20-FEB 19)  What a weird month! It begins with a powerful Cancer new moon and solar eclipse, putting the focus on family and home.  At the same time Mercury and Mars pair up in Leo, your opposite sign, and you’re busy busy busy, perhaps even impatient with people not moving as fast as you.  This energy gets a bit more agitated the week of the 7^th – Mercury turns retrograde and it and Mars make an angle to Uranus.  Be careful of getting into disagreements since communication will be going sideways.  The week of the 14^th brings global drama when the Sun in Cancer opposes Pluto while Venus opposes Saturn.  These are not cheerful combinations, and everyone will be anxious around the Capricorn full moon and eclipse on the 16^th.  By the 20^th the Sun in Cancer crosses paths with Mercury retrograde for a few days that will emphasize communication in the weirdest way.  Expect some surprising information to be revealed.  With Venus opposing Pluto at the same time it is actually a great time for deep and honest exchanges in relationships. And you may want to avoid power tools and sharp objects, just sayin’.  At least the Jupiter-Neptune sloshiness of June lessens during July – this was the influence of intense changeability—but Mercury retrograde will have a similar effect.  You have no choice but to go with the flow.
