AQUARIUS (JAN 20-FEB 19) The first days of February have brought an emphasis on communication and perhaps even some verbal sparring. Your brain – always on fire—operates on all cylinders right now. You’re fired up, and world events are causing you some amount of stress. Mars is in Aries, and Venus entered Aries on the 3rd, so you’re not about to take no for answer from anyone. Venus in Aries helps you be direct and instinctive
about your needs and asking for what you want. Hmm, “demand” may be a better word! The Jupiter-Uranus opposition continues to be the dominant influence this month – it’s not a bad influence, it just keeps you a bit off-kilter, not knowing what’s going to happen next. It is all about change, and with Jupiter starting a long retrograde stretch on the 6th, you may find yourself drawn more inward and needing to reflect more on what fulfillment looks like for you. February 10th brings a powerful full moon in your opposite sign of Leo—and a penumbral eclipse visible in North America!—with strong Martian influences. People will be scrappy. Actually—it’s you who might itching for a fight. Watch that tendency! The middle of the month is pretty calm. The Sun moves into Pisces on the 18th and immediately opposes the North Lunar Node. Meanwhile Venus makes an aspect to Jupiter and Uranus, so all of this together puts the emphasis on relationships and intimacy. Enjoy it, because by the 23rd, Mars in Aries catches up to Pluto for a few days and then triggers the Jupiter-Uranus business. Oy! That will make for a tense few days for the planet, and you personally will be a whirlwind of activity. Keep in mind your force field is quite a bit larger than you realize! There is a solar eclipse on the 26th along with the new moon in Pisces, falling just a couple of degrees from Neptune. The feel of this is very mushy and dreamy, in sharp contrast to the jaggedy Mars transits. Use this new moon to calm down and regain your center.
PISCES (FEB 20-MAR 19) Oh honey! The first few days of February have brought a lot of tumult to the globe, and that is to be expected given how many planets are on the earth axis right now…. You are stimulated and perturbed intellectually and in all kinds of ways, and as much as you may be trying to have boundaries about input it is very hard right now. Mars and Venus are both in Aries and it’s a good tie for you to be direct about your needs.
Jupiter starts a long retrograde stretch on the 6th, changing the feel of its opposition to Uranus and making you pull inward more. The full moon and lunar penumbral eclipse (visible in North America!) falls in Leo and pulls in some subtle but important Mars aspects. This just adds to everyone’s edginess and makes some people spoil for a fight. Be careful. The Sun moves into your sign of Pisces on the 18th and opposes the North Lunar node. Sweet Venus aspects help put the focus on friends and intimates. But Mars in Aries squares Pluto and then immediately catches up to Jupiter and Uranus, just in time for the new moon and solar eclipse on the 26th. What?! What can I say, this last week of February will be crazy and tumultuous. But keep in mind that the new moon is a very powerful one because of the eclipse and also because it falls on Neptune. The Neptunian influence will put the focus on healing and a sense of interconnectedness.
ARIES (MAR 20-APRIL19) The start of February is characterized by a lot of mental energy and stimulation, and to make it even more intense for you, Mars and Venus have just entered Aries. All of this action is passing over the Earth Axis, which means global events are the focus. Venus’ role more of an emphasis on values of interdependence, thank god. Jupiter starts a long retrograde stretch on the 6th, which shifts somewhat its effect in its opposition to Uranus. This is a relief—Jupiter will help you carve out some delicious interior space so you are not just a giant fireball of thought and reaction. February 10th
brings a Leo full moon and penumbral lunar eclipse (visible in North America!). This is a chunky full moon because of subtle Mars aspects that play up edgy, fractious behavior. The Sun enters Pisces on the 18th and quickly opposes the North Lunar Node. Interesting Venus aspects at the same time make for a few delightful days of connecting with friends and intimates. Then Mars squares Pluto, and you will be doing a very intense piece of work that requires great focus and energy. Mars quickly catches up to Jupiter and Uranus, just in time for the new moon and solar eclipse on the 26th. The contrast of Mars Jupiter Uranus and mushy -gushy new moon in Pisces conjunct Neptune is quite odd. The forces of oneness will be up against the forces of divisiveness. Nonetheless this new moon is very powerful on a spiritual and emotional level, so use it.
TAURUS (APR 20-MAY 20) February starts off with an emphasis on communication. Your brain may be overstimulated by all the information about global events, and yet for you it is a good time for writing and speaking. Jupiter starts a long retrograde stretch on the 6th, which changes its energy a bit in relation to Uranus. It is a good time to reflect inwardly on what fulfillment looks like for you and what kind of opportunities you want to attract.
Venus and Mars have both entered Aries, so there is enough willfulness to go around. In fact, it spills over a bit on the February 10th full moon in Leo (and penumbral eclipse!). Be careful of conflict in the few days leading up the full moon. The Sun
enters Pisces on the 18th and opposes the North Lunar Node, while Venus makes an aspect to Uranus and Jupiter. This is all about connections, and some people will come through for you unexpectedly. Then, get ready. Mars squares Pluto and then quickly catches up to Jupiter and Uranus. This could mean struggle or just an intense piece of work or community organizing. The new moon and solar eclipse on the 26th is very close to Neptune. The contrast of Mars energy with the watery, Neptunian new moon can make things not be what they seem. Neptune is a master illusionist! Be sure you are assessing a situation accurately. Also use this powerful new moon for healing and spiritual work. New moons are about new beginnings, after all!
GEMINI (MAY 21-JUNE 20) You spend the first few days of February distracted by way too much information about things you can’t control…. Not much you can do about it. There are so many planets on the Earth axis that the world is in one big spasm. Venus and Mars have both moved into Aries and you are feeling clearer about your needs. Jupiter t
urns retrograde on the 6th which changes the feel of its opposition to Uranus just a tad. You are more inclined to self-reflection and a bit less reactive, so it’s kind of a relief. The full moon in Leo on the 10th is also a lunar penumbral eclipse (visible in North America!) that falls with some interesting Mars aspects. Oh jeez—more agitation and bellicosity, just what you need. You should lay low on this full moon and resist the inclination to be scrappy! The Sun enters Pisces on the 18th for a few days of great relationship influences. Then it gets interesting. Mars squares Pluto and quickly catches up to Uranus and Jupiter on the Earth axis. Ooh boy. Then there is a new moon in Pisces and solar eclipse on the 26th that falls very close to Neptune. Let’s watch those forces of oneness overcome the divisiveness. This is an important new moon for you so use it to ground yourself and make some new plans.
CANCER (JUNE 21- JUL 21) February is an odd little month. It starts with an emphasis on communication, or not being able to restrict any of the information overload you’re experiencing. Then Mars and Venus enter Aries, making it easier for you to assert you needs. Jupiter goes retrograde on the 6th, pushing you more inwardly as you reflect about
fulfillment and what that looks like. The Leo full moon on the 10th is also a penumbral lunar eclipse, making it more powerful and exaggerating the Martian aspects. Stay out of trouble and avoid conflict! Then the Sun enters Pisces on the 18th for a few delicious days of sweet relationship aspects. Enjoy, because right after that Mars squares Pluto and then catches up to Jupiter and Uranus on the Earth axis. That’s a bellicose line-up, but it’s in sharp contrast to the watery Neptunian energy of the February 26th new moon in Pisces and solar eclipse. Piscean values of love and interconnection will be strong. If there is any new moon on which to meditate, this is the one! Use it for centering, grounding, and inspiration.
LEO (JUL 22-AUG 21) Oy! This little month of February presents you with some challenges…. It starts with an emphasis on communication and information. You’re having trouble managing all the input. Venus and Mars have just entered Aries and they help you be clearer about your needs. Then on the 6th Jupiter turns retrograde, which affects its opposition to Uranus just a bit. The good news is that it helps you be more reflective and less reactive, although you’re still feeling vulnerable to all the Uranian
events happening that are completely out of your control. Still—use Jupiter retrograde to reflect on what fulfillment looks like for you and what kind of change you’d like to see happen…. Meanwhile there is a Leo full moon and penumbral eclipse on the 10th which has slightly contentious Mars aspects. Be careful – you’ll be thin-skinned and easily riled. The Sun enters mild Pisces by the 18th for a few days of sweet relationship aspects. Then Mars squares Pluto and almost immediately catches up to the Jupiter Uranus line up on the Earth axis. There will be global drama, but the good news is that there is also a power ful new moon in Pisces and solar eclipse on the 26th. Why is this good news? The unifying and humanizing effects of Neptune are a sharp contrast to the bellicosity of Mars. Use this new moon to ground yourself and meditate.
VIRGO (AUG 22- SEPT 21) February is weird month, and it starts out with continuing global tension. You have to learn to limit the amount of perturbing information you are taking in! Jupiter goes retrograde on the 6th, which will actually calm down its opposition to Uranus and make you more reflective. Venus and Mars have both entered Aries, and keep in mind that February’s Aquarian energy and now this Aries expression are difficult
signs for you. You are very unsettled. The full moon in Leo on the 10th that is also a penumbral lunar eclipse (visible in North America!) will exaggerate your thin-skinnedness and feelings of being misunderstood. Just keep breathing, because by the 18th, the Sun enters your opposite sign of Pisces and then life gets very interesting. First, there are a few days with positive relationship aspects. Then Mars squares Pluto and you take on a big piece of work or hurl yourself into the streets to protest. Almost immediately Mars catches up to the Jupiter-Uranus business on the Earth axis and the last week of the month is very tense, globally speaking. But there is a powerful new moon in Pisces and solar eclipse on the 26th tat falls just a few degrees from Neptune. Use this new moon to harness spiritual and creative energy like you have never done before. This is a very potent time for focusing the healing power of oneness and interdependence.
LIBRA (SEPT 22-OCT21) February is a weird little month, beginning with lots of mental stimulation. Mars and now Venus too have entered Aries, your opposite sign helping you crystallize what it is you need and want. Jupiter in Libra turns retrograde on the 6th, which will help you feel less at the mercy of its opposition to Uranus and be more reflective about what fulfillment and opportunity could look like. Then Mars plays a significant role in the full moon in Leo (and penumbral eclipse) on the 10th. Oh boy, try to stay calm and not be
too triggered by people trying to pick fights. Then the Sun enters Pisces on the 18th for a few days of sweet relationship aspects. Then Mars squares Pluto so use this to attack a mountain of work and plow through it. By the 26th, when there is a powerful new moon in Pisces and solar eclipse the aspects are completely contradictory. Mars in Aries catches up to the Jupiter-Uranus opposition on the Earth axis while the new moon falls with Neptune. There will be tension and bellicosity while Neptune pushes forward the power of healing and interconnectedness. Use this new moon to harness your creativity and mediate on peace like your life depends on it.
SCORPIO (OCT 22-NOV 21) February begins with a few days of intense mental stimulation and focus. Then Jupiter goes retrograde on the 6th, providing a more calming effect on its oppositi
on to Uranus and making you more reflective and internal. Mars and Venus have both entered Aries so you are being more explicit about what you need from others. The
full moon in Leo on the 10th is also an eclipse, so it intensifies the energy which is already difficult because of a nudgy little Mars aspect. People will be edgy and you should avoid conflict. Then the Sun enters Pisces on the 18th for a few days of sweet relationship combinations. Right after that Mars squares Pluto and you’ll be working hard. Then the world goes a bit nuts when Mars in Aries catches up to the Jupiter-Uranus opposition on the Earth axis for the last few days of February. Oy! There is a very powerful new moon in Pisces on the 26th which is also a solar eclipse. This new moon falls with Neptune, in stark contrast to the sharp-edged Mars-Uranus aspects. This is a new moon where the healing energies of oneness and interconnectedness are strong — meditate on peace and healing.
SAGITTARIUS (NOV 22- DEC 21) February is a weird little month and not without its challenges…It begins with a great deal of mental stimulation and your nerves are shot. Mars and now Venus have moved into Aries, another fire sign, so you are q
uick to state what you need and want. Jupiter turns retrograde on the 6th, helping you catch a breath from the Jupiter-Uranus opposition by being more reflective and less reactive. That is a good thing! The full moon and eclipse in Leo on the 10th has some Mars aspects that may
make you irritable and stressed. Then the Sun enters Pisces on the 18th. It pairs up with the North Node and some nice Venus aspects to emphasize relationships for a few days. Then Mars squares Pluto and you dive into a gnarly piece of work. The last few days of the month are very intense, however and have very contradictory influences. There is a gorgeous new moon in Pisces and solar eclipse on the 26th that falls with watery Neptune, in sharp contrast to Mars sitting with Uranus and Jupiter on the Earth axis. You will need to sit yourself down on the 26th and focus on healing and peace – the energies for oneness and interconnectedness are very strong that day!
CAPRICORN (Dec 21-Jan19) The month begins with a lot of mental stress – you just have too much input coming at you right now. It is a good thing that Mars and now Venus have entered Aries, helping you set limits and assert your needs. Jupiter turns retrograde for a long stretch on the 6th, which will also help you really stake out some interior space to help you respond to all the Uranian changes… Lay low on the Leo full moon on the 10th.
It is also a penumbral lunar eclipse (go outside and watch it if you’re in North America!) which intensifies its action — in this case, Martian scrappiness and tension. Then the Sun enters Pisces on the 18th for a few days of nice connections with friends and intimates. Right after that Mars squares Pluto and you’re having to handle a set of demands or a piece of work. The last few days of February are wild: Mars in Aries catches up to Jupiter and Uranus on the Earth axis for some global drama and even bellicosity… But there is a powerful and beautiful new moon in Pisces and solar eclipse on the 26th that falls with Neptune. Those of us who believe in peace and interconnectedness need to broadcast that healing energy on that day…. What a powerful lunation and what an antidote to the Mars aspects.
