AQUARIUS (JAN 20-FEB 19) Well, honey, you lucked out! February is quite a gorgeous month, astrologically speaking. In other words, there’s not much drama (well except for maybe a little bit…). February begins with a quick-moving Mercury transit of the Uranus-Pluto business, so yes, we’re all a bit tense about the outcome of the Iowa caucuses. You didn’t me to tell you that. By February 4^th the Sun in Aquarius squares Mars in Scorpio right on the earth axis, so yes, there may be some bellicose global action. But that said, things are looking good for you. There is a new moon in Aquarius on the 8^th with Venus in Capricorn all involved in the Uranus-Pluto square. This is a good aspect for taking relationships to a new and deeper place. If your birthday is on the 8^th you’ll have that wonderfully creative New moon energy with you all year, which will help you make all kinds of fresh starts. The middle of the month is unusually calm – although we can expect the planet to be rocking and rolling under the last blast of the Uranus-Pluto square. Mercury enters Aquarius on 13^th and Venus follows suit on the 16^th. The 16^th and 17^th bring Venus into alignment with Mars, a great combination for shared purpose. The Sun enters Pisces on the 19^th, followed by a full moon in Virgo on the 22^nd. This full moon makes a chunky angle to Saturn so people are likely to be feeling serious and responsible.  PISCES (FEB 20-MAR 19) February is a quite a calm month, astrologically –although keep in mind that everything is happening against the backdrop of the last blast of the dramatic Uranus-Pluto square so it’s not like life is normal. The start of the month brings a quick Mercury transit of Uranus and Pluto, making us all tense and worried about the outcome of the Iowa caucuses. Mars in Scorpio squares the Sun in Aquarius on the 4th so there might be a few days of global drama. But overall, the month is pretty quiet, and the North Lunar Node continues to sit with Jupiter in Virgo, and this delightful combination is great for relationships and intimacy, and yes, it lasts all month long. There is a pretty new moon in Aquarius on the 8^th, with aspects that emphasize relationships. Mid –month, all quiet on the western front, and the on the 19^th the Sun enters your own sign of Pisces.   There is a big full moon in Virgo on the 22^nd, and if you are an early Pisces, you may be very stressed out by your sense of expectations and responsibility. Yup, Saturn is all over this full moon – otherwise Saturn lays low this month as it approaches its square to Jupiter (more on that next month!). By the 27^th the Sun catches up to Neptune. If your birthday is Feb 27-29 the Neptune influence is very strong for you. You’re a space cadet, what can I say?

ARIES (MAR 20-APRIL19) February is quite calm overall, with a continuation of the beautiful relationship aspects we had last month, thanks to Jupiter and the North Lunar Node.   Of course—I say “calm,” but the general backdrop is still the dramatic Uranus-Pluto square… Sigh. It’s almost over, at least!   The month starts off with a quick transit of Mercury to Uranus and Pluto, no doubt signifying the tension we’re all experiencing about the outcome of the Iowa caucuses. Then Mars in Scorpio squares the Sun for a few days on the 4^th, bringing some global bellicosity. Otherwise things are quite quiet. There is a beautiful new moon in Aquarius on the 8^th with strong Venus aspects, so once again, you’ll want to go more deeply in relationships. It’s smooth sailing until the Sun enters Pisces on the 19^th and on the 22^nd there is a slightly tense full moon in Virgo. Thanks to Saturn’s involvement you will feel serious and stressed. Watch out for a self-critical edge. By the 27^th the Sun catches up to Neptune for a few days of utter dreaminess. It’s time to surrender, and let that Aries ego dissolve in Neptune’s waters….Also by the end of the month Saturn approaches its square to Jupiter, bringing you an awareness of how you are handling all of your resources.   This interesting influence continues into March.

TAURUS (APR 20-MAY 20) This month and next are truly the last blast of the Uranus-Pluto square, so if you can stand the backdrop of utter global tumult you’ll be fine. February is quite smooth sailing in most ways, you’ll be glad to know. (Enjoy it, because by the time your birthday rolls around this spring you’ll have Mars retrograde to contend with. Between that and the Jupiter-North Lunar Node conjunction all month, it is a good month for relationships, connections, and intimacy. The Sun enters Pisces on the 19^th, followed by a kinda cranky full moon in Virgo on the 22^nd. Saturn makes a small but intense angle to the moon and you’ll be stressed out by how much responsibility you’re carrying. By the end of the month Saturn closes in on its square to Jupiter so you’ll have the chance to reassess some of those responsibilities and reallocate your internal and material resources.

GEMINI (MAY 21-JUNE 20) February is a pretty calm month, all things considered! Of course, how calm can things be while the influence of the Uranus-Pluto square rages….? Besides that and some fleetingly aggravating aspects, you should have a decent month.   February starts with Mercury aspecting the Uranus-Pluto business, and so we are all tense about the potential outcome of the Iowa caucuses… and this tension gives way to some Sun-Mars tension on the 4^th when there could be some global bellicosity.   There is a nice new moon in Aquarius on the 8^th with interesting Venus aspects that make you want to radicalize your intimate relationships. You want intimacy and you want your freedom too! In fact, the Jupiter-North Lunar Node conjunction that was in place for January continues all February, facilitating growth in relationships and intimacy. Enjoy! The Sun enters Pisces on the 19^th, and we quickly have a full moon in Virgo on the 22^nd. Don’t get all critical! You may find yourself being picky and tough to please… Go easy on everyone because by the 27^th you’ll be a complete space cadet once the Sun catches up to Neptune. The end of the month also beings Saturn close to a square to Jupiter. This aspect will help you realign your resources and get organized financially.

CANCER (JUNE 21- JUL 21) February is a relatively calm month, astrologically speaking! It’s calm, that is – except for the tumultuous backdrop of the Uranus-Pluto square which between now and the end of March is in its last breath. If you can weather that you’ll be fine. On February 4^th Mars in Scorpio squares the Sun in Aquarius for a few days of global saber-rattling.
