AQUARIUS (JAN 20-FEB 19) Well, honey, you lucked out! February is quite a gorgeous month, astrologically speaking. In other words, there’s not much drama (well except for maybe a little bit…). And, the whole month is graced with the continuation of the pretty Jupiter-North Node conjunction which is great for connections and intimacy. February begins with a quick-moving Mercury transit of the Uranus-Pluto business, so yes, we’re all a bit tense about the outcome of the Iowa caucuses. You didn’t me
to tell you that. By February 4th the Sun in Aquarius squares Mars in Scorpio right on the earth axis, so yes, there may be some bellicose global action. But that said, things are looking good for you. There is a new moon in Aquarius on the 8th with Venus in Capricorn all involved in the Uranus-Pluto square. This is a good aspect for taking relationships to a new and deeper place. If your birthday is on the 8th you’ll have that wonderfully creative New moon energy with you all year, which will help you make all kinds of fresh starts. The middle of the month is unusually calm – although we can expect the planet to be rocking and rolling under the last blast of the Uranus-Pluto square. Mercury enters Aquarius on 13th and Venus follows suit on the 16th. The 16th and 17th bring Venus into alignment with Mars, a great combination for shared purpose. The Sun enters Pisces on the 19th, followed by a full moon in Virgo on the 22nd. This full moon makes a chunky angle to Saturn so people are likely to be feeling serious and responsible. Beware of getting stressed out—you may be attempting to control people and things that you cannot….By the 27th the Sun in Pisces catches up to Neptune for a few days of dreamy inspiration. The month ends with Jupiter and Saturn getting into a square position – this is a productive aspect for taking stock of resources and making decisions.
PISCES (FEB 20-MAR 19) February is a quite a calm month, astrologically –although keep in mind that everything is happening against the backdrop of the last blast of the dramatic Uranus-Pluto square so it’s not like life is normal. The start of the month brings a quick Mercury transit of Uranus and Pluto, making us all tense and worried about the outcome of the Iowa caucuses. Mars in Scorpio squares the Sun in Aquarius on the 4th so there might be a few days of global drama. But overall, the
month is pretty quiet, and the North Lunar Node continues to sit with Jupiter in Virgo, and this delightful combination is great for relationships and intimacy, and yes, it lasts all month long. There is a pretty new moon in Aquarius on the 8th, with aspects that emphasize relationships. Mid –month, all quiet on the western front, and the on the 19th the Sun enters your own sign of Pisces. There is a big full moon in Virgo on the 22nd, and if you are an early Pisces, you may be very stressed out by your sense of expectations and responsibility. Yup, Saturn is all over this full moon – otherwise Saturn lays low this month as it approaches its square to Jupiter (more on that next month!). By the 27th the Sun catches up to Neptune. If your birthday is Feb 27-29 the Neptune influence is very strong for you. You’re a space cadet, what can I say?
ARIES (MAR 20-APRIL19) February is quite calm overall, with a continuation of the beautiful relationship aspects we had last month, thanks to Jupiter and the North Lunar Node. Of course—I say “calm,” but the general backdrop is still the dramatic Uranus-Pluto square… Sigh. It’s almost over, at least! The month starts off with a quick transit of Mercury to Uranus and Pluto, no doubt signifying the tension we’re all experiencing about the outcome of the Iowa caucuses. Then Mars in Scorpio squares the
Sun for a few days on the 4th, bringing some global bellicosity. Otherwise things are quite quiet. There is a beautiful new moon in Aquarius on the 8th with strong Venus aspects, so once again, you’ll want to go more deeply in relationships. It’s smooth sailing until the Sun enters Pisces on the 19th and on the 22nd there is a slightly tense full moon in Virgo. Thanks to Saturn’s involvement you will feel serious and stressed. Watch out for a self-critical edge. By the 27th the Sun catches up to Neptune for a few days of utter dreaminess. It’s time to surrender, and let that Aries ego dissolve in Neptune’s waters….Also by the end of the month Saturn approaches its square to Jupiter, bringing you an awareness of how you are handling all of your resources. This interesting influence continues into March.
TAURUS (APR 20-MAY 20) This month and next are truly the last blast of the Uranus-Pluto square, so if you can stand the backdrop of utter global tumult you’ll be fine. February is quite smooth sailing in most ways, you’ll be glad to know. (Enjoy it, because by the time your birthday rolls around this spring you’ll have Mars retrograde to contend with. Just sayin’…) February starts off with a quick Mercury transit to the Uranus-Pluto square. This is a tense little transit, giving us all heart palpitations in
advance of the Iowa caucuses. Those palpitations start up again for a few days on the 4th when Mars in Scorpio squares the Sun in Aquarius and we get some global saber-rattling. Then there is a gorgeous new moon in Aquarius on the 8th with interesting Venus aspects. Between that and the Jupiter-North Lunar Node conjunction all month, it is a good month for relationships, connections, and intimacy. The Sun enters Pisces on the 19th, followed by a kinda cranky full moon in Virgo on the 22nd. Saturn makes a small but intense angle to the moon and you’ll be stressed out by how much responsibility you’re carrying. By the end of the month Saturn closes in on its square to Jupiter so you’ll have the chance to reassess some of those responsibilities and reallocate your internal and material resources.
GEMINI (MAY 21-JUNE 20) February is a pretty calm month, all things considered! Of course, how calm can things be while the influence of the Uranus-Pluto square rages….? Besides that and some fleetingly aggravating aspects, you should have a decent month. February starts with Mercury aspecting the Uranus-Pluto business, and so we are all tense about the potential outcome of the Iowa caucuses… and this tension gives way to some Sun-Mars tension on the 4th when there could be some global
bellicosity. There is a nice new moon in Aquarius on the 8th with interesting Venus aspects that make you want to radicalize your intimate relationships. You want intimacy and you want your freedom too! In fact, the Jupiter-North Lunar Node conjunction that was in place for January continues all February, facilitating growth in relationships and intimacy. Enjoy! The Sun enters Pisces on the 19th, and we quickly have a full moon in Virgo on the 22nd. Don’t get all critical! You may find yourself being picky and tough to please… Go easy on everyone because by the 27th you’ll be a complete space cadet once the Sun catches up to Neptune. The end of the month also beings Saturn close to a square to Jupiter. This aspect will help you realign your resources and get organized financially.
CANCER (JUNE 21- JUL 21) February is a relatively calm month, astrologically speaking! It’s calm, that is – except for the tumultuous backdrop of the Uranus-Pluto square which between now and the end of March is in its last breath. If you can weather that you’ll be fine. February begins with a quick Mercury transit to that pesky Uranus-Pluto business, bringing some
tension to us all right in time for the Iowa caucuses. Then on the 4th Mars squares the Sun for a few days of bellicosity. There is a beautiful new moon in Aquarius on the 8th with interesting Venus aspects that inspire you to clean house in some relationships. In fact, Jupiter and the North Lunar Node continue to sit in the same place in Virgo this month, making for really satisfying interchange with loved ones. The Sun enters Pisces on the 19th – a fellow water sign – and it is followed by a crankifying full moon in Virgo in the 22nd. The Sun catches up to Neptune for a few days on the 27th, bringing dreaminess and inspiration, and you won’t care a bit whether things are getting done or not. At the end of the month Saturn approaches its square to Jupiter, which is an excellent transit for taking stock of your resources, internal as well as material.

calm month with some blips due to the tumultuous effects of Uranus and Pluto. In fact, February starts off with a quick Mercury transit of Uranus and Pluto. People are tense and you feel like your brain is exploding — there is a lot to be worked up about right now. By February 4th Mars in Scorpio squares the Sun in Aquarius for a few days of global bellicosity and posturing. The new moon on the 8th is a beautiful one, with interesting Venus aspects that help you focus on your values and on what is really important to you. Use this moon to do some visioning for yourself, and take advantage of the Jupiter-North Node conjunction to wish for fulfillment. The middle of the month is quite quiet. Saturn and Jupiter approach their square by the end of the month, and this interesting transit will help you assess your resources and make planning decisions.
VIRGO (AUG 22- SEPT 21) February is an interesting and pretty calm month, all things considered. Of course, we are in the last few months of the Uranus-Pluto square, and that tumultuous and unpredictable influence is still the backdrop for
everything…Take heart – for the second month in a row there is a Jupiter-North Lunar Node conjunction in Virgo, making for very satisfying relationship dynamics, so enjoy. Otherwise, February starts off with a quick-moving Mercury transit to the Uranus-Pluto business, so yes, we are all tense about the Iowa caucuses and other things. LIBRA (SEPT 22-OCT21) Planetarily speaking, February is a pretty calm month that plays out against the completely insane backdrop of the tumultuous and unpredictable Uranus-Pluto square. Weird, huh? The end is in sight, at least – we only have a couple more months of those two titans duking it out on the world stage. But I digress. Your month is generally very solid with a
couple of blips. February starts off with a quick-moving Mercury transit to the Uranus Pluto business, so we are all very tense about the Iowa caucuses and other things. On the 4th Mars in Scorpio squares the Sun for a few days of global drama of a bellicose nature. There is a nice new moon in Aquarius on the 8th with beautiful Venus aspects that inspire creative vision based in your values – use it! And, for the second month in a row we have a beautiful Jupiter-North Node conjunction in Virgo all month long, which is a sweet combination for connections and relationships. The Sun enters Pisces on the 19th and on the 22nd there is a somewhat cranky full moon in Virgo. Be careful not to worry and be stressed about things you can’t get done. Saturn will weigh on you with a great sense of responsibility, but by the 27th the Sun catches up to Neptune and you won’t pay any attention to those deadlines because you’ll be a space shot for a few days. Don’t worry – Saturn and Jupiter approach a square at the end of the month, and this combination is all about judicious decision-making and planning.
SCORPIO (OCT 22-NOV 21) Well, February is quite calm from an astrological point of view—that is, other than the tumultuous influence of Uranus and Pluto … Other than that, things are fine. Really! And it’s the last two months or so of those two planets being in their square position. So February is pretty regular for you, with just a couple of irritations. The month
begins with a quick-moving Mercury transit of Uranus and Pluto, bringing some fleeting mental tension. (Worried about the outcome of the Iowa caucuses, are we?). Starting on February 4th there are a few days of Sun-Mars aspects, making for some hair-trigger tempers on the world stage, but else is new? There is a beautiful new moon in Aquarius on the 8th with nice Venus aspects. It’s time to focus on relationships and on what’s really important to you. In fact, the other important backdrop for the month is a gorgeous Jupiter-North Lunar Node conjunction in Virgo. This is a great combination for connections and relationships, so enjoy. The Sun enters Pisces on the 19th, and on the 22nd there is a full moon in Virgo that might bring up some crankiness and self-criticism. Now don’t be stressing about things, since by the 27th the Sun catches up to Neptune and you’ll get some relief from responsibilities. Keep in mind that by the end of the month Jupiter and Saturn move into a square, which is a good time to take stock of where you are putting your energy and resources.
SAGITTARIUS (NOV 22- DEC 21) February is pretty calm, all things considered. Of course, keep in mind that “calm” isn’t exactly calm during these days of the Uranus-Pluto square, but still, February is quite smooth sailing with a few minor irritations… February begins with a fleeting transit of Mercury to the Uranus-Pluto business so yes, everyone is very tense and
there are the Iowa caucuses to worry about, etc. Then on the 4th Mars in Scorpio squares the Sun for a few days on the earth axis, so there is bound to be some saber-rattling. It passes quickly, and the 8th brings a beautiful new moon in Aquarius with interesting Venus aspects. You’ll be integrating your Sagittarian passion with radical values, and making something new. Let it rip! Oh, and did I mention the second month in a row of beautiful Jupiter-North Node aspects, making relationships of all kinds really satisfying? Nice! Mid month is quiet, and then the Sun enters Pisces on the 19th, followed by a full moon in Virgo on the 22nd. The Saturn aspects on this full moon might make you cranky and self-critical, so be careful. By the 27th, the Sun catches up to Neptune and dreamy inspiration is the name of the game—you won’t be worried at all about your Saturnian responsibilities. And actually, by the end of the month Saturn and Jupiter start to enter a square position, an interesting and fruitful combo for taking stock of one’s resources.
CAPRICORN (Dec 21-Jan19) February is quite calm – except for the general backdrop of the completely insane and unpredictable Uranus-Pluto square… Oh well, that combo is on its way out – just two more months to go…. So you have a quite good month, with just a couple of fleeting irritations. The month starts with one of them, when Mercury in Capricorn quickly transits the Uranus-Pluto business. So everyone is tense and we’re all worried about the outcome of the Iowa caucuses…. On the
4th the Sun and Mars are squared on the earth axis, giving us a couple of days of global bellicosity. But there is a gorgeous new moon on the 8th with interesting Venus aspects, inspiring you to radically re-envision your relationships. This is enhanced by the Jupiter-North Node conjunction all month which allows for much growth and development in the relationship department. The middle of the month is quiet, and then the Sun enters Pisces on the 19th, followed by a full moon in Virgo on the 22nd. Hold onto your hat – the Saturn aspects with that full moon could make you tense and edgy. Beware of being too critical of yourself and others. The Sun catches up to Neptune on the 27th for a few days of spaciness. By the end of the month Saturn and Jupiter approach their square, an interesting aspect for reevaluating and reallocating resources.
