SAGITTARIUS (NOV 22- DEC 21) It’s December, Sag’s month! And what a month it is, starting off with a few days of the Sun and Saturn sitting together in Sagittarius and squaring Neptune. In fact, the Saturn-Neptune square is the dominant aspect this entire month and let’s face it, it takes some effort to deal with this one. If your birthday is in the first few days of this month, listen up — since this combo will affect you all year. The Sun sitting with Saturn makes for a sagittarius-sign_www.nowlix.com_astrology_zodiac_logo_symbol 7few days of seriousness – the square to Neptune is a bit more complicated. (Hello—just look at the world!) As I have written before, the Saturn-Neptune square can feel like a certain stuckness, a kind of bogginess – that is, until it doesn’t. Keep in mind that Saturn’s relationship to Neptune is an awkward one because Saturn wants to go all concrete and protest Neptune’s sense of cosmic oneness and utterly oceanic inspiration. So, our job, my dear co-Sagittarians, is to surrender to Neptune’s inspiration and allow Saturn’s structure to give us concrete ways to express it. If at first you feel overwhelmed, that makes sense. Practice discipline and then Neptune’s gorgeous flow will reveal itself. I know, kinda contradictory. This Saturn-Neptune energy is best expressed through modalities that capture and ground the flow, which is why I always recommend Tai Chi or Xi Gung or other Asian martial arts at times like this….. But back to the rest of December. The 4th and 5th bring nice Mercury –Jupiter aspects so communication should be easy and fun. Starting on the 7th Mars in Libra makes big angles to the Uranus-Pluto mess – oy! The world is a hot mess. Let’s not talk about that now, okay? The 11th brings a gorgeous Sagittarian new moon that squares Jupiter and kicks off a good solid week of Sun-Jupiter aspects. This will facilitate completion and fulfillment, and if your birthday is the week of the 11th, work it!   There are positive intimacy transits for a few days around the 18th and then communication goes haywire starting on the 20th, just in time for the Solstice. It’s a quick transit but dramatic and lays down some misunderstandings just in time for the holidays.   Speaking of which, there is a Cancer full moon right smack on Christmas day.   Feelings will run high and we will all spend the end of December working out our Sagittarian verbal blunders….

CAPRICORN (Dec 21-Jan19) Well, honey, December is a hot mess, sorry to say! The dominant aspect is the pesky and potentially depressing Saturn-Neptune square, which is particularly exact during the first half of the month. Oy gevalt! This one takes some work but keep in mind that the work pays off. Saturn is your ruling planet, so if you can let go of Saturnian control and defer to Neptune’s inspiring and watery flow, then the combination will work for you. You have to apply some conscious discipline, however – start a routine, any routine, and then Neptune will kick in and Saturn will saturnaliaprovide some appropriate structure and you’ll be fine. But there is a hump to get over first, and the hump is extreme at the start of the month. By the 4th or 5th you should feel better and at least have some positive interchange with people. Starting on the 7th Mars gets all up in the Uranus-Pluto square – -the other major havoc-wreaking aspect of the month — and we have a good solid week of (more) crazy behavior worldwide. Nerves will be frayed and it is important that you avoid conflict that week.   Then there is a beautiful new moon in Sag on the 11th ( yes, finally some good stuff!) and a gorgeous week of Sun-Jupiter influence.   Satisfaction and fulfillment are the name of the game. Something important should come to fruition. The Solstice – when the Sun enters your sign – comes late late late on the 21st while Mercury aspects the Uranus-Pluto business.   Your brain will be firing on 1000 cylinders and beware of speaking before you think: the potential for misunderstanding is quite great. There is a Cancer full moon on Christmas Day itself, adding to the heightened feelings and needs and expectations. The last week of December have Mercury in Capricorn squaring Mars in Libra. Hit the gym in a serious way!

AQUARIUS (JAN 20-FEB 19) December is a complicated month – as we are already seeing. It starts off with a chunky few days of a Sun-Saturn conjunction in Sagittarius. That’s kind of serious. And to make it more complicated, this combination squares Neptune, and in fact, the Saturn-Neptune influence is with us pretty much all month. This means it will take some effort not to feel overwhelmed and cranky. It is worth the effort though, because the boon of Saturn and AquariusNeptune is having concrete access to creative and spiritual practice. Getting the most out of this aspect requires discipline and surrender at the same time – not an easy prescription! By the 4th and 5th the Mercury-Jupiter square makes for positive exchanges with people, but things get heavy again starting on the 7th when Mars gets involved in the Uranus-Pluto craziness.   It could be a rough week on the global front. Stay away from conflict. Then on the 11th there is a beautiful Sag new moon with nice Jupiter aspects, followed by a week of Sun-Jupiter influence. This will be excellent for fulfillment and completion and for all around feeling good. The Solstice falls late on the 21st, accompanied by some frazzled energy. The only antidote is to be silly. What else can you do with a full moon in Cancer on Christmas? The last week of December is a good one for lots of physical and mental activity. Enjoy!

PISCES (FEB 20-MAR 19) December presents some challenges to your fishy self, the main one being the Saturn-Neptune square which dominates the sky this month. This is a tough one! Saturn’s impulse is to argue with Neptune’s dreamy formlessness, and the result can be a sense of stuckness or even depression.   Here is the remedy: surrender, but with discipline. Contradictory, I know. Give in to it by setting up a structure to help you access the inspirational and seuss one-fishcreative parts of Neptune. So, as you feel yourself resisting doing anything constructive, know that the resistance is part of it. To use a water analogy for you Piscean rafters, canoers and kayakers: you have to paddle through the eddy fence to get into the current. It’s a pain but you gotta do it. The start of the month will be especially difficult in this regard. The 4th and 5th bring some positive relational energy at least, and then by the 7th, Mars gets involved in the Uranus-Pluto square –- the other havoc-wreaking aspect this month – so we should expect more global awfulness for that week. Then there is a beautiful Sagittarian new moon on the 11th with nice Jupiter aspects, and you will really want to use this new moon for inspiration. It is followed by a solid week of Sun-Jupiter influence – yay! Completion! Fulfillment! Close out one part of your life and usher in something new! Then watch for miscommunication around the Solstice on the 21st as we get ready for high tension on the Cancer full moon on Christmas day.   Go to the movies and avoid arguments! December ends with lots of physical activity.

ARIES (MAR 20-APRIL19) December is kinda weird, as we can already see from the news…The dominant aspect is the Saturn-Neptune square, which can be boggy and depressing, and requires some effort to deal with. The key is to surrender to Neptunian inspiration by using Saturn for disciplined routines. Saturn has to serve Neptune rather than Aries-Tribal-Tattoofight its formlessness. But there is a hump to get over, especially at the start of the month when the Sun is conjunct Saturn. A fleeting Mercury-Jupiter aspect on the 4th and 5th is cheering and makes for good interchanges, but it is followed by a week of craziness starting on the 7th when Mars gets involved in the Uranus-Pluto square – the other havoc-wreaking aspect this month. But the 11th brings a beautiful new moon in Sagittarius with nice Jupiter aspects. The Jupiter aspects continue all week so the emphasis is on fulfillment and possibility. Things get zany around the Solstice on the 21st, when Mercury may make you speak without thinking (really! ), complicating an already complicated Cancer full moon on Christmas day. Feelings will be running high. The end of the month is great for physical and mental activity.

TAURUS (APR 20-MAY 20) December is a very odd month, dominated by the Saturn-Neptune square.   Now this is a cranky aspect if there ever were one, and it requires tremendous discipline to work with. If you can do that, the aspect can be very productive and creative but there is a hump to get over, especially at the very start of December.   It is easy toblog-animals-Texas_longhorn_cattle_bull_grazing feel overwhelmed by this influence, so take yourself to your meditation cushion or the gym and get back to a routine. The energy shifts briefly on the 4th and 5th when the aspects are excellent for communication, but get ready, Mars gets involved in the Uranus-Pluto mess the week of the 7th.   The world will be more of a hot and dangerous mess. But the Sagittarian new moon on the 11th is a beautiful one, with nice Jupiter aspects. Use this lunation to try to bring something to fruition. The Sun-Jupiter aspects for that next week will help you do that.   Things get a bit tense again around the Solstice on the 21st when communication may be strained. Keep in mind that feelings will run high on Christmas due to the Cancer full moon—so you had better forget about interacting and just go the movies. That is an excellent use of the Saturn-Neptune square!

GEMINI (MAY 21-JUNE 20) The Saturn-Neptune square is hitting you hard, especially if you are a late May/early June baby – keep in mind that it is the dominant aspect this month, and it’s a weird one. It’s important to surrender to Neptune’s dreaminess and inspiration but with Saturnian discipline. The temptation is to get lost in Neptune’s tides of Geminifeeling but that can leave you beached on the sand when you least expect it. So some discipline is required – I know, you hate that! Set up some workable routines for yourself so you have outlets for your creative energy. These aspects are especially vexing at the start of the month. The 4th and 5th bring a fleeting couple of days of Mercury-Jupiter aspects which are good for interchange. Then by the 7th Mars gets involved in the Uranus-Pluto square – the other chunky aspect this month—and the world gets even crazier for a week. The good news is a beautiful Sag new moon on the 11th with gorgeous Jupiter effects. In fact, the Jupiter   effect is with us that while week while the Sun squares Jupiter. It’s all about completion and fulfillment. Then people get crazed around the Solstice on the 21st and the Cancer full moon on Christmas day. My advice is to go to the movies.

CANCER (JUNE 21- JUL 21) December is a weird month because the dominant Saturn-Neptune aspect can be quite overwhelming unless you have a strategy. Thankfully I can recommend one!   At the start of the month you may have to get over a hump of torpor but you need to apply some structure or routine to your creative or spiritual practice. Just plow through and the Saturnian structure will ultimately help you access the watery Neptunian bounty. Trust me on this! On Cancerthe 4th and 5th we have a fleeting Mercury Jupiter aspect will shake those mental cobwebs loose. But get ready, since by the 7th Mars gets involved in the Uranus-Pluto square—the other ridiculously challenging aspect this month!—and we have another week of the world exploding around us. However December 11th brings a gorgeous new moon in Sagittarius with nice Jupiter aspects. Spend some time envisioning completion, the end of one cycle and the beginning of something new. In fact the Jupiter aspects continue for a week, so enjoy. The Solstice occurs late on the 21st with some pretty zany energy. You may be thin-skinned about people being a bit careless with their words. There is a Cancer full moon on Christmas day. Find someone you trust and go to the movies. The last week of December brings plenty of mental and physical activity.

LEO (JUL 22-AUG 21) December is weird – what can I say? It starts off with a sober few days of a Sun-Saturn 322x450x1354615847_leo-positive-traits.jpg.pagespeed.ic.CT9U3fKX_Cconjunction, complicated by a square to Neptune. In fact this Saturn-Neptune influence dominates the sky all month, and it requires some effort lest you feel overwhelmed and undone. Invoke some Saturnian structure so you can channel Neptune’s inspiration. If you feel you can’t find the current at first, trust that it will emerge. Saturn inevitably fights with Neptune at first until it knows it has to give in. This means you need a routine, a daily practice for art or exercise or meditation, or all three. But back to the month at hand. The first week of December is a bit grim, with bright spots on the 4th and 5th thanks to Mercury and Jupiter. By the 7th Mars gets involved in the Uranus-Pluto angles – the other intense aspect this month—and the whole world will be rockin’ and rollin’ with (more) conflict. The 11th brings a beautiful new moon in Sagittarius with nice Jupiter aspects – use this lunation for inspiration and envisioning. It is followed by a week’s worth of a Sun-Jupiter influence so it is a week to bring something to fruition. Things get stressful around the Solstice, and the intensity grows as we approach the Christmas Day full moon in Cancer. Now that’s a fun one. Just go to the movies!

VIRGO (AUG 22- SEPT 21)  December is kinda weird, but my developing theory is that earth signs are faring better with the dominant Saturn-Neptune influence than the rest of us. (You will have to let me know!) This is a rather challenging influence, at once overwhelming and potentially depressing unless once can use Saturn to help channel Neptune’s inspiration. The way to work with it is to apply some Saturnian structure and discipline and to just go through cat_maid_1_funnypagenet_comthe motions until Neptune’s flowing creative energy kicks in. Somehow I think you will be better at this than some of us! Back to December : the start of the month is difficult, even grim. The Mercury-Jupiter aspects bring you some sparkiness on the 4th and 5th. By the 7th Mars gets involved in the Uranus-Pluto craziness for a week, so lay low and avoid conflict. The world will be showing its shadow side big time. Hang on til the beautiful new moon in Sagittarius on the 11th. This gorgeous lunation kicks off a full week of satisfying Jupiter aspects, so enjoy.   Avoid getting frazzled as we approach the Solstice on the 21st and be mindful of your words. The Cancer full moon on the 25th will exacerbate everyone’s already thin skin and feelings can get hurt. It’s a good time to go to the movies. The last week of December brings lots of activity.

LIBRA (SEPT 22-OCT21)   December is just plain weird, thanks to the Saturn –Neptune square, the dominant influence this month. This combination takes some work to deal with lest you feel like you’re lost in a bog without focus or direction. Here’s the thing: invoke some Saturnian structure and create a routine. Just plow through the resistance Libraand you will eventually feel you’re part of the Neptunian current of inspiration. You can neither fight it or control it. Got that? So the start of the month is particularly grim and difficult but then we have a few days of spark on the 4th and 5th.   By the 7th – and I hate to say it– Mars catches up to the Uranus-Pluto aspect for a week and amps up the conflict and clashing and general awfulness. Put on your seat belt. But then there is a gorgeous new moon in Sagittarius on the 11th with nice Jupiter aspects. This is a wonderful new moon for visioning and it is followed by a week of Jupiter aspects that facilitate completion and fulfillment. Enjoy! People get antsy around the solstice on the 21st and the Cancer full moon on the 25th makes everyone thin-skinned.   The best way to use the full moon and Saturn Neptune aspects are to go to the movies endlessly over the holidays.

SCORPIO (OCT 22-NOV 21) December has some ups and downs, mostly because of the challenges presented by the Saturn-Neptune square are difficult and unavoidable.   This combination can be overwhelming and depressing, and it requires applying a structure or routine when you least feel like you can do that. Once you apply a Saturnian structure to

things – anything!—you will move through the hump of resistance and tap into Neptune’s watery flow of emotional , creative and spiritual transcendence. But it aint easy, and it is hardest at the start of the month. Things lighten up for a couple of days on the 4th and 5th and then by the 7th, Mars gets involved in the Uranus-Pluto business for a week of conflict and struggle. Sorry to bear some grim news! But then there is a gorgeous new moon in Sagittarius on the 11th, followed by a week of nice Sun-Jupiter aspects. This week will be all about completion and fulfillment. People get antsy around the Solstice on the 21st and feelings run high as we approach the Cancer full moon on the 25th. Yes, that’s right, a full moon on Christmas. Just go to the movies!
