AQUARIUS (JAN 20-FEB 19)  What a month – good thing it’s short!   Just joking, really.  It starts out with Venus in the same spot as Pluto and in opposition to Jupiter.   For the first week of February you will be making important decisions about where you want to invest your time and money.  You’re in the midst of a

life cycle change, and you’re thinking about some activities or things you are bringing to a close.  You want to make room for something new and you may not be sure what it is.  Keep in mind that Mercury goes retrograde on the 6^th, and so you will have three weeks to let your intuition bubble up and provide you insight about your next steps.  Don’t force anything during this period, just let it emerge.  The 3rd and 4^th have you throwing yourself into a project or physical activity, and pay attention because you are physically a bit vulnerable right now.  No sprained ankles, okay?  The week of the 9^th brings a serious Saturn aspect so you’ll be working hard.   Then heads up during the full moon on the 14^t.h  .  Mercury retrograde  — in Aquarius by that point – will cross paths with the Sun and the Moon.   Oy veh!   The 14^th through 16^th might be very challenging on the level of communication and technology.  Prepare to be messed with! In fact, this influence continues for a few more days when Mercury retro aspects Saturn.  It is a good time for writing or very detail-oriented work – as long as your laptop doesn’t go up in a cloud of smoke….   The last few days of February bring a delightful aspect of Venus and Mars which is wonderful for shared purpose.  It is a great time to get things done collaboratively.   Mercury turns around on the 28^th —  remember, the day it turns can be especially difficult, so be patient!

PISCES (FEB 20-MAR 19)  Oh honey! The first week or even two weeks of February are slightly strange for you, especially if your birthday is in the first few days of Pisces.   Mercury is still direct but slowing wa—aa—ay down in early Pisces for the first few days of the month. It happens to be sitting very close to Neptune, so this is a major effect of spaciness and delightful inspiration, especially if you are in a healing or artistic field.  Your intuition is spot on, and you’re a big mush – but what else is new?  You will be awash with feelings…. Then starting on February 6^th, Mercury starts going retrograde and passes back over the same degrees in early Pisces.  Mercury retrograde just exaggerates the watery, spacey, intuitive Neptunian quality and so you are in a daze, probably unable to tell the difference between your dream life and waking.   You really feel like this until the 13^th, when Mercury retrogrades back into Aquarius and you can come up from the bottom of the ocean.   The full moon in Leo on the 14^th is a pain but might feel like a relief to you, so enjoy it.  On the 18^th the Sun enters your own sign and plows toward—— guess what?  Neptune!    So here we have more of the Neptune effect for you.  You had better get yourself into the studio or go to the movies for about a week.  The end of the month brings  a nice Venus Mars combination, which is wonderful for a sense of shared effort.   Mercury turns back around on the 28^th, just in time for Mars retrograde on March 1.  

ARIES (MAR 20-APRIL19)   The month starts off with a beautiful Venus –Pluto conjunction in opposition to Jupiter.  This is a great combination for stewardship, for gaining a deep understanding about stewarding resources.   So the first half of  February will be richly inspiring for you, especially if you can work with the influence  of Mercury retrograde and not fight it.  Remember that this pass of Mercury retrograde is especially dreamy and inspiring, even as it makes hash out of your travel plans.  The full moon in Leo on the 14^th may really illuminate a massive Mercury-related misunderstanding.  Just let it teach you its lesson.  The second half of the month brings  dramatic surprises, as Jupiter in Cancer makes an exact angle to Uranus in Aries. Expect the unexpected, especially because Mercury retrograde will keep you guessing.  Really pay attention to your intuition between the 18^th and 22^nd, when the Sun Neptune aspects are strong.  This is a time to engage in spiritual and/or healing practice .  The end of the month brings a beautiful Venus Mars square which is very positive for collaboration.  Just be aware that the day Mercury turns around – the 28^th— can be especially challenging in terms of communication.    Spoiler alert:  Get ready for Mars retrograde on March 1^st!    This will be an important transit for you as Mars is your ruling planet….

TAURUS (APR 20-MAY 20)  Well.  For almost the first 10 days of February you are caught in a vortex of uncertainty due to Mercury’s position  vis a vis Neptune.  Oy!   Communication is incredibly unclear.  Mercury is in Pisces and it is sitting with Neptune —  no wonder it feels like you are swimming in an ocean that goes from murky to clear in seconds.    All that moving water means that weather is also playing a huge role in your life and all of your plans are up in the air.  And all this even before Mercury goes retrograde!  When Mercury goes retrograde on the 6^th it might resolve some unclarity  for a minute…. And if you can at all focus on creative or spiritual inspiration you would do well to do that.  Then on the 9^th you get several days of really hard work, but it’s fulfilling.  In fact there is a great deal of energy of fulfillment around you, thanks to Venus and Jupiter and Pluto. You’re making  sound decisions about where to put your energy and resources.  The 14^th brings a big full moon in Leo which will be stressful because Mercury retrograde – now back in Aquarius – crosses paths with the Sun.  Expect dramatic revelations and then a few days of very focused mental work.  The end of the month should feel more relaxed as it is a great time for collaborative work and shared purpose.

GEMINI (MAY 21-JUNE 20)  This is a strange month for you, especially if you were born in the first few days of Gemini.  Mercury is in early Pisces sitting with Neptune and making a big fat angle to you.  You don’t know which end is up.  Things you thought were happening are not, and you are awash with feeling and sensitivity.  Then on February 6^th, Mercury goes retrograde and crosses back over all those degrees in early Pisces.  So you can forget about the first half of February.  Just picture yourself as being in the ocean, because that’s what it’s like.  Things are changeable and weird – not bad, just uncertain and changing constantly.  Your dream life is very rich right now and if you can throw yourself into artistic expression, that would be a good thing.  The week of the 9^th brings a more Saturnian stress, either in work or relationships, and you’re feeling hemmed in.  Then the full moon on the 14^th brings things to a head with a huge influence of Mercury retrograde, which now in Aquarius crosses paths with the Sun.  Somebody will be having a firestorm about something.  Then the Sun enters Pisces on the 18th and heads right for Neptune, so we get more of the same under water Neptunian influence we had at the start of the month.   You will need a vacation!  Mercury turns back around on the 28^th…. And then Mars goes retrograde on the 1^st of March.

CANCER  (JUNE 21- JUL 21)  Jupiter is retrograding in your own sign making a beautiful opposition to Pluto and Jupiter at the start of the month.  This is all about coming to terms with something that came up for you while Venus was retrograde in January.  With this sense of coming to terms comes clarity about where to invest your energy, time, and resources.  It’s a good time for investment.   Otherwise, we have intense Mercury combinations all month, and for the first half of the month Mercury is heavily influenced by Neptune – and then it’s retrograde starting on the 6th.  This is a great influence for creative inspiration, healing, and spiritual practice.  It’s dreamtime for the linear part of the mind and your level of intuition and psychic awareness is shocking even to you.  This is especially true for the first two weeks of February, but actually all month because of the retrograde.  It is also a great time for writing.  Mid month there might be some dramatic miscommunication with the full moon in Leo on the 14^th.   After that comes clarity and then more Neptunian influence of inspiration.  The end of the month brings positive aspects for collaborative work, and Mercury turns around on the 28^th.  Remember that the day it turns can be difficult for travel and technology.

LEO (JUL 22-AUG 21)  What a totally odd month!  First, Mercury will give you a major pain this month – whether it is direct or retrograde!  It starts out the month in a Neptunian fog of unclarity and murkiness.  This is great if you can channel it into creative expression bit it may make straightforward communication rather difficult.   Then it goes retrograde on the 6^th, which will just exaggerate the fluidity and unpredictability of the next couple of weeks.  The week of the 9^th will bring some pressure or work stress.  Mercury moves back into Aquarius on the 13^th and then there is a full moon in Leo in the 14^th with heavy Mercury retrograde aspects.   Expect some high drama and miscommunication!  Then we have a very weird few days form the 18^th to 22^nd when the Sun enters Pisces and catches up to Neptune while Mercury and Saturn are squared in Aquarius and Scorpio respectively.   This will be a clash of spaciness versus clarity, but a great time for writing.  Sit yourself down and let those Muses take over.   The end of the month brings excellent combinations for collaborative work, and then Mercury turns around on the 28th….just in time for Mars retrograde on March 1^st!

VIRGO (AUG 22- SEPT 21)  Well,  if you are an early Virgo – and by that I mean born in the first few days of Virgo – you might as well just give up the first two weeks of February to wandering around in a glorious Piscean fog!  Seriously!   And even of you’re just a Virgo, period, you’ll feel all this but perhaps a bit less so….  The first two weeks are all about Mercury in Pisces close to Neptune, first direct, then retrograde.   Crazy!   Things will be incredibly fluid and unclear; you won’t know  what is going on from one day to the next, and you just have to go with it.  It’s a great time for being guided by your intuition, for healing work, and for artistic expression of any kind… yet you sure might be bugged by the details and travel plans and other things going awry….. Keep in mind that Mercury begins its retrograde pass in early Pisces, which is a big trigger for your Virgo self.  By the 13^th it transits back into Aquarius and pulls away from Neptune – whew!     But there is a big full moon in Leo on the 14^th with major Mercury retrograde influence.  Miscommunication will abound.  Then the Sun enters Pisces, triggering you all over again.  Oh well!  The end of the month brings nice collaborative work aspects and the end of Mercury retrograde.   Get ready for Mars retrograde on March 1st!

LIBRA (SEPT 22-OCT21)   Your job this month is to remain equanimous during Mercury retrograde!  Otherwise the month starts off with you making decisions about where you are investing your energy – emotionally, physically, financially.  It is a good time for commitment.  Keep in mind that even before Mercury goes retrograde, it is all murky and foggy with Neptunian influences, so you are a space cadet.  Follow your intuition and allow yourself to be inspired.  You might be a space shot but this is a great combo creative expression.  Then it goes retrograde on the 6^th and stays that way til the 28^th.  Oy!  So that means extreme spaciness all the way til the 13^th, when Mercury retrogrades back into Aquarius.   Well, that’s a relief.  But almost immediately there is a big irritating full moon in Leo with heavy Mercury retro influences.  We are talking major miscommunication.  You can clean up the confusion between the 18^th and 22^nd when Saturn squares Mercury. The month ends with beautiful aspects for shared work and collaboration, and of course, mercury turns back around on the 28th…… just in time for Mars retrograde on March 1st!

SCORPIO (OCT 22-NOV 21)  What an interesting month!  The month starts off with beautiful Venus-Jupiter-Pluto  aspects which are all about investment. Things became clearer to you during January, when Venus was retrograde, and now you are ready to make some commitments, to close out one chapter and begin another.  You now know where you want to put your emotional and physical and financial resources.  At the same time, the Mercury-related aspects are crazy this month, making you inspired and extra intuitive for the first two weeks, and then just annoyed for the last two.  The first two weeks of February are a great time for intuitive, healing, and creative work of any kind.   Keep in mind that Mercury goes retrograde on the 6^th, which will just exaggerate its spacey, dreamy qualities until the 13^th.  On the 13^th it is still retrograde but it enters Aquarius, and that’s when it starts to bug you, especially around the full moon in Leo on the 14^th.  Expect high drama and miscommunication.  Difficult communication might also occur between the 18^th and 22^nd when someone’s truthfulness might go missing…..  The month ends with nice combinations for shared effort, and of course, Mercury goes direct on the 28^th. 

SAGITTARIUS (NOV 22- DEC 21)  Well, for starters, this stretch of Mercury retrograde will be a big deal for you – especially if you are an early Sagittarius.  Mercury is in early Pisces sitting with Neptune, then on the 6^th, it starts retrograding, still pulling in all that Neptunian energy.  Man, you’re a mess!  This is great for intuition and healing and artistic expression but may be quite terrible for feeling like things in your life are clear, especially communication.  In fact, you’re kind of in a fog and Mercury retro adds to that feeling, at least until it retrogrades back into Aquarius on the 13^th.    The week of the 9^th brings some hard work or just work-related stress.  On the 14^th is a Leo full moon with heavy Mercury retrograde influences.  Some major miscommunication or revelation will come to a head.  You’ll have plenty of time to process it while Mercury squares Saturn from the 18^th to 22^nd. Of course at that same time the Sun enters Pisces and catches up to Neptune, which may make it difficult to get to the bottom of the miscommunication.   The end of the month brings great combinations for joint efforts, and Mercury turns around on the 28^th, just in time for Mars retrograde on March 1st!

CAPRICORN (Dec 21-Jan19)   Interesting month!  It begins with a beautiful Venus-Jupiter-Pluto combination that is allowing you to make sound investment decisions – not only financial ones but ones regarding where you want to put your energy and emotional resources.   You are able to do this with all the understanding you gained while Venus was retrograde in your own sign.  So hurry up and make those commitments because Mercury goes retrograde on the 6^th, in Pisces no less and with a big connection to Neptune.  Oy!  You feel like you are walking in wet sand, perhaps, or slogging through a swamp. Things are not very clear, and you are awash in feelings, angry one minute and weepy the next.  All you can do is go with the flow – you know the Mercury retrograde drill!    Mercury retrograde continues to mess with you a bit, even when it retrogrades back into Aquarius.  There is a big full moon in Leo on the 14^th with heavy Mercury involvement.  Miscommunication/revelation/miscommunication. Your job is to stay calm, especially when Mercury retro squares Saturn from the 18^th to the 22^nd.   The end of the month brings beautiful aspects for collaboration, and of course the long awaited end of Mercury retrograde!
