SCORPIO (OCT 22-NOV 21) Jeez, your life is a bit complicated right now! First, Mercury is retrograding in your own sign, bringing all kinds of information and subtext to the surface. Second, that was one helluva new moon in Scorpio and eclipse on Sunday. (If your birthday falls between November 3 and 5, it landed right on your head.) Third, Saturn is cruising through Scorpio right now, and if your birthday is between the 5th and 8th you are contending with that influence, which is just a tad stressful. So in short, you’re feeling a bit worked over by life itself these days… but this too shall pass!
Allow me to digress a little and go back to that November 3rd new moon because it was particularly important. It involved a big Scorpionic pileup of the Sun, Moon, Mercury retrograde, the North Lunar Node, and Saturn. For everyone, and especially for Scorpios and Tauruses, this lunation held up a big mirror in which we have to look at the parts of ourselves we’d prefer to sidestep. But this process is most intense for you and your Taurean friends: somehow you are pushed up against some very unconscious patterns until the middle of the month. You are really uncomfortable in your own skin and you know something has to give. The good news is that it is an opportunity for transforming and letting go – something you can be very good at. Be careful of your tendencies to dig your heels into a position—these times call for transformation, not attachment to old habits. Because of the North Node and Saturn, my guess is that these thorny issues are appearing in the realm of relationship, commitment, and boundaries. If you can allow all this delicious Scorpio energy to do its work on you, you will come through it transformed! Okay, now I can get back to the rest of the month…Mercury goes direct on the 10th, and between its turnaround and a Sun-Saturn conjunction, you’ll be feeling realistic and kind of sober about life and commitments you’ve made. Venus in Capricorn catches up to the Uranus-Pluto square for a few days around the 15th, so expect some change on the relationship front. In fact, that combination is in effect on the full moon in Taurus on the 17th. Don’t worry — all your hard emotional work from the first half of November pays off in the second half! Then the Sun enters Sag on the 21st and immediately squares Neptune. Between that and the Saturn Mercury conjunction I wouldn’t expect plans to go according to plan! Happy Thanksgiving and Hanukah!
SAGITTARIUS (NOV 22- DEC 21) This continues to be an intense Mercury retrograde for you. You are learning a lot – both wanted and unwanted information is coming to light. It’s important for you to rise above the subtext and not take things personally right now. The new moon on the 3rd along with the Mars-Chiron opposition helps you look at some of your
sloppier Sagittarian ways and clean them up a bit. There are some positive opportunities for leadership emerging in your life, and you have to be a bit more organized and grounded to take advantage of them. That’s all good, and Saturn in Scorpio is helping you take yourself somewhat more seriously. Remember that Mercury turns direct on the 10th , and the Sun-Saturn aspects are intense that day as well. It is a good day for hard mental work. Venus catches up the Uranus-Pluto square around the 15th, bringing you clarity about intimacy and allowing you to take more risks. This influence continues on the full moon in Taurus on the 17th, and so the second half of November will be very interesting on the relationship front. Then the Sun enters Sag late on the 21st, and it’s your time, baby! If your birthday is in the first few days of Sagittarius, the square to Neptune is in full force, making you inspired and irresistible but also a space shot… This will be an important year for you in terms of learning, writing and teaching. The Saturn Mercury conjunction could complicate Thanksgiving plans, so keep that in mind!
CAPRICORN (Dec 21-Jan19) November is an interesting month for you….. The new moon on the 3rd helps you clarify some boundaries and commitments, and so a growing awareness in you about this develops all month long. Mercury
stays retrograde til the 10th, and the day it changes is likely to be stressful with the added bonus of a Sun Saturn conjunction. Venus enters your own sign on the 5th, and then by the 15th it catches up to the Uranus-Pluto square. This is a challenging combination which brings some changes on the relationship front. It’s a time for breakthrough and risk taking, and the areas that need changing will be illuminated by the full moon in Taurus on the 17th. The Uranus-Pluto aspects are very close this month, and so between that and Saturn crossing the earth axis mid November, there are likely to be more global crises… Stay calm! Then the Sun enters Sagittarius and quite quickly squares Neptune. Everyone is dreamy and vague, and then the Saturn Mercury aspects complicate the heck out of communication and/or travel right around the US Thanksgiving holiday and Hanukah.
AQUARIUS (JAN 20-FEB 19) If your birthday is around February 1st, the November 3rd new moon and eclipse hit you kind of on the nose, highlighting some areas where you need to let go of old patterns. No worries – all the Scorpio energy in the sky can definitely help you grow and change! Mercury is retrograde and it is definitely doing a number, bringing to
light important information in a sideways fashion. Keep in mind that it turns around on the 10th and that day we also have a Sun-Saturn conjunction so you may feel pressured or stressed. The Uranus-Pluto square continues to cause lots of planetary turmoil which is exacerbated by Saturn when it crosses the earth axis around the 12th. But then Venus in Capricorn catches up to Pluto and therefore also to Uranus—expect some surprises and changes in relationships. Relationships will be illuminated around the full moon in Taurus on the 17th. The energy is shifting though as the Sun enters Sag on the 21st and quickly squares Neptune. Girls just wanna have fun! Go for it, but be prepared for travel difficulties around the Thanksgiving and Hanukah holiday.
PISCES (FEB 20-MAR 19) November begins and ends with some interesting aspects to Chiron in your own sign of Pisces. Remember that Chiron always shines a light on something, forcing us to integrate our power more fully. At the start of the month it is Mars in Virgo that you have to look at and at the end, it is the Sun in Sagittarius. The Mars-Chiron aspect is
quick and it combines with the heavy-duty November 3rd new moon and eclipse, landing you smack into what we homeopaths like to call “a healing crisis.” Get ready to look at your own behavior, especially areas where you might be a little bit….um…controlling. Then Mercury retrograde turns around on the 10th, the same day we have a Sun Saturn square. Hole up in your studio or bat cave and don’t expect to communicate with anyone. It’s a good day for working—alone! The following week brings Venus in Capricorn catching up to the Uranus Pluto square, so expect some breakthroughs in relationships. Keep in mind the full moon in Taurus on the 17th, which will illuminate all the stuck places in a seemingly intractable situation. Then the Sun goes into Sagittarius and squares Neptune. Have an enjoyable Thanksgiving and Hanukah, and don’t be surprised by travel glitches.
ARIES (MAR 20-APRIL19) All of the Scorpio energy in the sky brings out your depth, and as if there weren’t enough of it, Mercury retrograde reveals it even more. Remember that Aries is as different as it can get from Scorpio, and yet both signs share an intensity and willfulness. (Before Pluto was discovered and assigned to Scorpio, Mars was said to rule both
signs.) So this month is a rich one for you with many layers of experience. The powerful new moon and eclipse on the 3rd helps you push through some ambivalence in relationships and really show up. Mercury retrograde turns direct on the 10th, the same day there is a Sun-Saturn conjunction. You’ll be working hard and trying to push through a situation that can’t really be pushed. Then by the 15th, Venus in Capricorn catches up to the Uranus-Pluto square. Oh baby—get ready for some breakthroughs in how you’re living your life. You’ll betaking some strong action to bring your values into greater alignment, and it will become very visible on the full moon in Taurus on the 17th. The Sun enters Sag on the 21st and squares Neptune. You’re all yearning and melting with desire for fulfillment everywhere , on all levels. Have a good Thanksgiving and be aware that the best laid travel plans might go awry due to some chunky Mercury Saturn aspects….
TAURUS (APR 20-MAY 20) Oh baby. This is an insane month for you. First of all, the solar eclipse and new moon in Scorpio on the 3rd was a big one for you, especially if your birthday is May 3-5th or so. This powerful new moon had a pile up in Scorpio of Sun, Moon, Mercury retrograde (oh that!), Saturn and the North Lunar Node, and the effect was further
amplified by the eclipse. As important as it is for all of us, it is huge for you Tauruses and your Scorpio friends. You are facing some old patterns in yourself that you simply must let go of, and you hate it, and so you find yourself right now in a state of intense resistance. Grrr. This is not a time to dig those Taurean hooves into the ground! Rather it is a time to look in the mirror, and to allow yourself to be more like your Scorpio opposite and let the transformation come. And it is a deeply emotional transformation, and probably the arena is communication and trust. Something has got to give and it’s better if you don’t fight it. And as if all of this weren’t enough, you are really really busy, working extremely hard, and Mercury retrograde is messing with you. The good news is that change is a-coming. Mercury turns direct on the 10th. Venus in Capricorn catches up to the Uranus Pluto square and facilitates dramatic breakthroughs in relationships. And then, the icing on the cake: full moon in Taurus on the 17th . Personally, I can’t stand the full moon in my own sun sign—it makes me too crazed. I recommend staying home and contemplating the changes you’re about to make! Enjoy the end of the month and the loopy Sun –Neptune aspects, and have a good Thanksgiving and Hanukah.
GEMINI (MAY 21-JUNE 20) This is an interesting month , as long as you can roll with all the Scorpio energy – not necessarily an easy task. The new moon in Scorpio and eclipse on the 3rd had you crawling out of your skin, for starters, and Mercury retrograde feels to you like it can’t end soon enough. Be patient, my dear – I know, patience is not your strong suit! The new moon brought to light areas where you need to let go of old patterns, so go for it. Mercury turns
around on the 10th, and the Sun-Saturn conjunction might make you cranky. But then Venus in Capricorn catches up to the Uranus Pluto square on the 15th and that influence acts on the Taurus full moon on the 17th. Wow! That is a great combination for creative and relationship breakthroughs, and just a general shake up of the “I need to be living my values” variety. Then the Sun enters Sagittarius on the 21st and immediately squares Neptune. Great for creative expression and that ol’ yearning for completion. A Saturn Mercury conjunction in Scorpio kicks in Thanksgiving/Hanukah week so travel plans may be dicey, but who cares, since you’ll be having a good time in that airport lounge…
CANCER (JUNE 21- JUL 21) Well. That Scorpio new moon and eclipse on November 3rd was a big one, and you continue to feel pushed to let go of patterns and ways of being. You didn’t think you could let go of more, but it turns out you can. It is all positive, and freeing you up to be even more creative. Mercury retrograde is also doing its thing to facilitate your
intuitive perception of where you’re going. Mercury turns direct on the 10th, and that day will be messy between Mercury and a Sun-Saturn conjunction. Then Venus catches up to the Uranus Pluto square on the 15th and more breakthroughs are in order, this time having to do with relationships and collaboration. The Taurus full moon on the 17th will illuminate how your values are coming into deeper alignment. The Sun enters Sagittarius on the 21st and squares Neptune, making you feel a bit dreamy and vague. The Mercury Saturn aspects are great for writing or other focused work during Thanksgiving week. The month ends with the Sun entering a square with Chiron: claim what you know.
LEO (JUL 22-AUG 21) The new moon in Scorpio and eclipse on the 3rd was a big one for you and crystallized some parts of
yourself that need changing. This is especially true if your birthday is around August 2-5. Allow the remaining days of Mercury retrograde in Scorpio to guide you and trust Scorpio’s transformational edge. Mercury turns around on the 10th, and the day it turns is always challenging on the communication and travel front, so be forewarned, especially since there
is a Sun –Saturn conjunction also that day. Saturn may be giving you a rough time—again, especially if you’re an early-ish Leo – and you’re feeling pressured and stressed. Too much responsibility, not quite enough fun. This too shall pass—Saturn is moving at a pretty good clip. Venus in Capricorn catches up to the Uranus-Pluto square on the 15th and rings in some relationship breakthroughs which will be evident on the Taurus full moon on the 17th. The Sun enters Sagittarius, a fellow fire sign, on the 21st but it immediately squares Neptune, damping the fire a tad and emphasizing porous boundaries and excess. Didn’t I say that you needed some fun? The Mercury Saturn aspects during Thanksgiving/Hanukah week may mess up travel plans but facilitate focused work and writing.
VIRGO (AUG 22- SEPT 21) This is an interesting month for you! Your ruling planet Mercury is retrograde in Scorpio, so your linear mind has given way to more intuitive process. The new moon and eclipse on the 3rd has pushed you to give
up some old patterns or behaviors but don’t do anything rash until after Mercury turns around on the 10th. In fact, you don’t need to do a thing, since Venus in Capricorn catching up to the Uranus Pluto square around the 15th will do it for you. This aspect heralds some breakthroughs and sudden changes in relationships and the influence is strong on the full moon in Taurus on the 17th. Allow the situation and the necessary changes to be illuminated by the full moon. Jeez—there are a lot of things in earth signs by the middle of the month – Mars in Virgo, Venus in Capricorn, and of course Pluto in Capricorn and then the Taurus full moon. You’ll be taking care of business! Then on the 21st the Sun enters Sagittarius and quite immediately squares Neptune in Pisces. Everything gets all mushy again—just in time for the Hanukah/Thanksgiving holiday. Enjoy!
LIBRA (SEPT 22-OCT21) Well, at least this month is easier for you than October was—whew! That is saying something, considering that the Nov 3rd new moon and eclipse was ridiculous and Mercury is still retrograde… But still, things have calmed down for you. Mercury retrograde has revealed a lot to you and you’ll be fine as long as you can go with the flow
of it for another week. It turns direct on the 10th and that day things will be chunky especially with the added bonus of a Sun-Saturn conjunction. People will be cranky and Very Serious. The world continues to be intense since the Uranus Pluto square is very tight and Saturn hangs out on the earth axis a lot of the month… But Venus in Capricorn catches up to that Uranus Pluto business and facilitates breakthroughs in relationships and in creative expression. These changes will be very evident on the full moon in Taurus on the 17th. The Sun enters Sagittarius on the 21st and immediately squares Neptune for a few days, just in time for excess around the Thanksgiving/Hanukah holiday. Oh well—you cant fight it. However, the Mercury Saturn aspects that week are very good for focused mental work and even writing.
