ARIES (MAR 20-APRIL19) What a month, all you wild and crazy Aries’ out there! First, the Sun and Mars march in tandem all month, making you busy and active and even more forceful than usual. Keep in mind that Mars is the ruling planet of Aries, and as such it is all about action, direction, and forward movement. It is also about will, and work, and the Self. Contrary to popular belief, Mars is not limited to aggression and sex! It is a complicated little planet, and as Erin Sullivan, one 
of my favorite astrology writers says, we couldn’t get out of bed in the morning without Mars because of its embodiment of will and action. Mars also functions as a kind of ambassador to the Sun’s fiery, expansive being. This month, Mars and the Sun move through the sky together first in Aries and then in Taurus so that’s a lot of forceful energy and passion! You will be a fireball of activity and inspiration, moving at lightning speed, way ahead of the rest of the pack. Starting on the 7th, Venus in Aries catches up to the Mars and the Sun and they all spend the week together. I think of Venus and Mars as having an important partnership, in which Venus provides the values that ground our Martian behavior. So during this second week of April, your inspiration and passion will be…well, especially rich and fruitful. Again, we think of Venus and Mars together in terns of romance and sex – and although their spheres of action certainly include that – it is more that Venus and Mars have to do with shared purpose. Values and action, or action that is based in a sense of relatedness. That’s Venus and Mars. So during the second week of April – go for it, especially around the new moon on the 10th. That is a nice new moon with an interesting and obscure angle to Pluto. You’ll be able to move mountains! Pay attention on the 17th, when the Sun –Mars conjunction is exact. Then after the 19th and 20th when the Sun and Mars have transitioned into Taurus, this influence becomes less about inspiration and more about working to accomplish all those goals you set. The full moon in Scorpio on the 25th will show you the underside of your inspiration and leadership. You may see exactly who and what you left in the dust with your unbridled enthusiasm….. Then the month ends with a pigpile of work. Better get focused!
TAURUS (APR 20-MAY 20) Oh jeez, you are so busy this month you can’t quite believe it. You hardly have time to breathe. For the first couple of weeks of April – until the Sun and Mars and Venus enter Taurus — you feel some force has you by the ankles and is spinning you through the air. It is exciting, and wonderful things are happening, but you are having to run after yourself. Make sure you do take time to breathe, and to see spring emerging….The second week of April is a 
wonderful week for work and making common cause with others, as Venus catches up to the Sun and Mars in Aries. Then Venus enters your sign on the 15th, the Sun on the 19th, and Mars on the 20th. The day the Sun enters your sign of Taurus, it is still yoked to Mars, and Jupiter makes a nice angle to them both. Nice! You will feel productive and yet less stressed. On that day Mercury transits Uranus and squares Pluto so expect some big breakthrough in your thinking. Mars continues to partner with the Sun for the rest of the month and these two having moved into Taurus will help you be so grounded and productive that you’ll scare everyone around you. Really. Then, the full moon on the 15th forces you to look at your power, and immediately afterwards at the end of the month, there is a week of very intense, very focused, very hard work and commitment. It’s shoulder to the wheel time, and you love it.
GEMINI (MAY 21-JUNE 20) The Sun and Mars march together for all of April, making you busy busy busy. While they are in Aries, you are looking for adventure and inspiration, and find it you should, especially the second week of April. Starting on the 7th, Venus in Aries catches up to the Sun and Mars. Nice! This is a beautiful conjunction that is all about having shared 
purpose. Use the new moon on the 10th to allow your intuition to gather itself so that you can emerge with new plans and new energy. Then, once the Sun enters Taurus on the 19th with Mars right on its tail, Jupiter steps in and makes a nice half-square to them both. You’ll be feeling good and inspired, and ready to get down to work. Mercury transits Uranus and Pluto that same day so in fact, you may feel like your head is exploding with new and better yet, wild and crazy ideas. The last 10 days of April really facilitates work and productivity, especially at the very end of the month, when the Sun and Mars in Taurus oppose Saturn in Scorpio. We’re talking hard work. For real. Do something very concrete and focused, perhaps involving power tools and certainly involving physical labor.
CANCER (JUNE 21- JUL 21) Everything can change so quickly in mere days…. All of March’s watery energy has given way to fire. The Sun, Venus, Mars, and of course, Uranus are all in Aries this month. Moreover, the Sun and Mars are yoked together, moving in step with each other all month, first in Aries and then in Taurus. Keep in mind that Cancer has a special relationship with Aries. Both are what we astrologers call cardinal signs. The cardinal signs are each the first, the most 
primary expression of their element and their section of the astrological chart. So Aries and Cancer share a certain immediacy and primariness, but yet they are very different energies and can irritate each other. The fiery self-expression can be a bit much for the watery sensitivity of Cancer. This month, with the Sun and Mars marching together through Aries, you may be irritated by all the headlong activity around you, all the busy-ness, the rushing about, the having to do everything energy. However, starting on April 7th for a week, Venus in Aries enters the Sun-Mars partnership and things get easier, at least temporarily. People’s actions at least seem to be grounded in a sense of inter-relationship with others, and so you can deal with that. Once Venus, Mars, and the Sun have entered Taurus by the 20th, you feel better, calmer, and able to focus and get things done in your own way…. The last week of April brings an intense combination that is all about very hard work.

LEO (JUL 22-AUG 21) This month, the Sun and Mars march together in close conjunction, first in Aries and then in Taurus. This is a lot of fiery energy, especially with Venus also in Aries a good part of the month as well. You like fire; you are fire, for gods sake, so expect to feel a lot of oomph and drive this month. The Sun-Mars conjunction emphasizes action, will, and goals. You’re running around, full of plans and inspiration. All this fire enhances your own Leo fire, so keep in mind you have a bigger force field than you realize this month. During the second week of April, Venus catches up to the Sun and Mars, which is really positive for any projects you are working on with others. These planets are about shared purpose. Use the new moon in Aries on the 10th to generate some ideas that have to do with working with others. Then have a good time when the Sun enters Taurus on the 19th—Jupiter and Mars are also in play, making for a productive fun, or fun productivity. Either way, there is fun involved. Enjoy, since after the full moon in Scorpio on the 25th, things get very intense . The end of the month is about very hard work and having to push through some obstacles.
VIRGO (AUG 22- SEPT 21) This is an intense month for you, especially until the 19th when the Sun enters Taurus. Up til then, all the Aries energy in the sky has you running to catch up, and there are a lot of planets in Aries right now! Keep in mind that there is no sign more different from you (except Aquarius…). Where you are careful and measured, Aries is impulsive. Where you see complexity, Aries sees a black-and-white picture. Where you consider others’ needs first. Aries considers itself. So the energy this month is about moving headlong into things at breakneck speed, pretty much without 
thinking. You can see you could get bugged! You may resist and want to put brakes on situations and people, and guess what? That’s very hard to do this month, except during the second week of April, when Venus’ influence makes people’s behavior a bit more relational. You may spend a good few weeks this month wondering why everyone is being so self-aggrandizing. Just think of it this way – people are shaking off the winter doldrums and flying into action. Try to go with it, and once the Sun and Mars and Venus enter Taurus you will be able to relax and enjoy the solid productivity and purpose of it all. The aspects are in fact wonderfully productive this month. The end of the month is a good time to do very detailed, focused work. Nose to the grindstone, honey!
LIBRA (SEPT 22-OCT21) Well, first, you are so busy this month you can’t see straight. Your Libra energy is fanning the flames of all the planets in Aries out there, so no matter what you do, the activity doesn’t stop. In fact, there is some crazy exponential effect and there is just more more more of everything. To make matters more complicated, the Sun and Mars march together all month, first in Aries and then in Taurus. These two planets make you say “I can do it!” to everything 
whether you actually can or not. Then starting April 7th for a week, Venus is also in that picture, and so the things and projects you sign up for resonate with your values and involve shared vision and purpose. So who can resist? Not you! Use the new moon in Aries on April 10th to set some goals and make some plans. Things get to be fun for you when the Sun enters Taurus on the 19th and Jupiter makes an angle to the Sun and Mars. Fun. Work. Fun. Work. The full moon on the 25th may surface some power struggles. Then the end of the month brings an opportunity for really hard and satisfying work.
SCORPIO (OCT 22-NOV 21) There are so many planets in Aries this month, and in addition, the Sun and Mars — Aries’ ruling planet– move in tandem all month, first in Aries and then in Taurus. All this Aries energy is a bit weird for you because it is as willful as your Scorpio self but different. Keep in mind that before Pluto was discovered, Mars was considered to be the ruling planet of Scorpio… So there is a connection – both Aries and Scorpio are forceful and powerful and intuitive. Aries thrusts itself forward while Scorpio forcefully brings what is hidden to light. Both are about a kind of unconscious power but with a different purpose and means of expression. So back to this month: April is about being compelled to move forward, to 
move with directness and speed and not a little ego. So things will be moving around you at lightning speed and you may find yourself in a wrestling match with how others are moving forward. Try to go with this energy and not struggle– you will be able to accomplish a whole lot, especially the week of April 7th when Venus joins up with the Sun and Mars. The new moon on the 10th is powerful and your planet Pluto gets involved too, so you will be able to move some hard and intractable situations. Then the planets start moving into Taurus, your opposite sign. There is a full moon in Scorpio on the 25th. Mars’ involvement could make for some real power struggles so keep our eyes open. Then it’s time for some really hard work at the end of the month.
SAGITTARIUS (NOV 22- DEC 21) April feels like you are being shot out of a cannon! What a month! First, the Sun and Mars are conjunct all month, first in Aries, and then in Taurus. The Sun-Mars partnership in Aries facilitates activity, leadership, and action. Go for it. You are a bundle of energy, working hard, and doing many things at once. Use the addition 
of Venus to the picture and the new moon on the 10th to develop some plans with others. The times are very conducive to shared effort and purpose. All of this Aries energy emphasizes your ego, so watch how much space you take up with your fiery bravado. Then on the 19th, the Sun enters Taurus, and Jupiter makes a nice angle to the Sun and Mars. You’ll be working hard and really enjoying it. Take advantage of the Taurus energy to stop talking and get outside in the garden! There is a powerful full moon on the 25th that will illuminate who and what gets burned a bit by your Sagittarian fire, so pay attention. At the end of the month the aspects are very conducive to working very hard and in a very focused way. It is a good time to finish a project that has been hanging over you.
CAPRICORN (Dec 21-Jan19) This month, many planets are in Aries, facilitating your sense of accomplishment and goal setting. In fact, all month long Mars and the Sun march together, first through Aries and then into Taurus. This powerful conjunction is about work and direction and movement forward. You love that! But jeez, you are so busy you don’t know what to do…Then the week of April 7th, Venus joins up with Mars and the Sun, making all this work even more delightful and 
satisfying. The addition of Venus means this work is shared with others in common cause. Nice! Use the new moon on the 10th to generate some projects and set some reasonable goals…but by the looks of it they wont be reasonable. It’s all abit overwhelming but you’re loving it, especially once the Sun, Venus, and Mars enter Taurus, another earth sign. Expect some emotional and work-related intensity around the full moon in Scorpio on the 25th. Then even more work comes at the end of the month!
AQUARIUS (JAN 20-FEB 19) April hits you like a ton of bricks. You have so much to do you are about to explode. Your Aquarian air is fanning the flames of all the planets in Aries this month, so things wont feel manageable until the planets transition into Taurus around the 19th. You just can’t say no to anything right now, even if you are staggeringly tired. It’s not your fault – it’s the Sun-Mars conjunction in Aries which ahs you streaking like a fireball across the sky, saying yes, yes , yes. Try to get a grip on things the week of April 7th when Venus enters the picture with the Sun and Mars, making you aware of the importance of relationships and shared purpose. And can you try not to take more on over the 
new moon in Aries on the 10th, when you might be inclined to generate 20 more new ideas? Then the Sun enters Taurus on the 19th, and Jupiter aspects the Sun and Mars. This is a nice aspect that should serve to calm you down. Finally you can get into your garden and get your hands dirty. Whew! Use the full moon on the 25th to examine what parts of your work are working and which are not. Then get ready for a week of very focused, very intense work, and perhaps some restructuring. Seriously, your garden is calling!
PISCES (FEB 20-MAR 19) Well, well, what a difference a few days can make. All of last month’s delicious Piscean energy has given way to a preponderance of Aries. Suddenly everything is moving at warp speed and you are a bit like a deer in the headlights, wondering what has happened. Why is everyone moving so fast? Where did all this pressure come from? You’re not sure you’re ready to give up the dreamy, squishy, watery way you were feeling in March. You can’t stop this, so the best thing to do is to run and jump on the train that looks like it’s pulling out of the station. Once you’re on it you’ll be inspired and 
making plans and moving mountains. During the entire month the Sun and Mars are operating together as one force. Damn, it’s powerful. It is about direction, and action, and moving forward. No need to think too hard, just go with it. The week of April 7th, Venus joins them and introduces a sense of connection and relatedness to the plans and actions. It wont be activity for activity’s sake but work and plan that have a shared vision behind them. Then the Sun, Venus and Mars move into Taurus, and by the 20th, you’ll feel calmer and as though there is a rhythm to the work and effort. In fact you’ll have a good time doing it, at least until the last week of April, when some intense pressure hits. Watch your stress and use the last week to get some nudgy detailed work completed.
