What I Do 

I like to start with people by doing a Birth Chart reading.  

A birth chart or natal chart, drawn to depict the planetary positions at the time and place of one’s birth, is the most fundamental astrological blueprint. I look at the birth chart as a way to see who one is on multiple levels, the strengths, vulnerabilities, and challenges, as well as one’s greater purpose and relationship to the world around us. My birth chart readings take about an hour and 20 minutes, and I do them in person or via zoom or another video platform.  I digitally record the sessions and also provide a hand-drawn chart.  (I am one of the last astrologers on earth to draw a chart by hand — I do this because I have to touch it!)

Even if you have had a birth chart done before, I still do it — because I construct a Uranian chart as well as a conventional chart.

If you do not have access to your time of birth there is a way of backing into the correct time.  This is a complicated and more costly process (chart rectification)  because it requires more extensive astrological detective work, but it is doable– and fun.

Looking at current conditions

When I do a  chart reading I always include a look at the planets in the sky currently and how they relate to one’s birth chart. This is called a look at the Transits, or a look at current conditions.  although it is included in borth chart readings and solar return readings, it is also a stand alone event, especially if you are going though a challenging period. My approach is to help people understand how best to work with the conditions of the moment and what to expect in terms of timing.

Birthday Charts

My favorite updating tool is an annual Birthday Chart or Solar Return, cast for one’s birthday and current location. This chart gives a wonderful picture of what the current year is about.  Transits are also included. These readings take about an hour.

Relationship Charts

Relationship Charts or Composite Charts  are constructed from the birth charts of the people in a relationship — partners, friends, families, groups.  I create a chart which is of the relationship itself.  These charts are very illuminating in regard to understanding patterns, dynamics, and the purpose of relationships, as well as current stresses and influences and how best to work with them.

We all face transitions and challenges at various times, and change may be necessary — but it is never easy.  An astrological perspective can be helpful when facing confusing choices and crises in relationships, life purpose, and health.

Astrological Coaching can help you move from feeling battered by circumstance to being a participant in your own transformation.   It is most effective after I have done your birth chart and transits.

Coaching through the Saturn Return

Saturn!  You gotta love it!  Saturn has an orbit of approximately 29 years, and at the ages of  28-30 and 58-60 (and also 86-88) we go through major transitions. It is an incredibly important and extremely challenging period in everyone’s life, and astrological insight can be helpful.

These two venerable traditions are very compatible with each other because they both take such a comprehensive and holistic look at a person’s life.  I found it helpful to use astrological charts to facilitate the identification of constitutional remedies in combination with a full homeopathic interview.  I also work with fellow homeopaths as a consultant when needed.
