SAGITTARIUS (NOV 22- DEC 21)  There is a lot going on for us Sag’s this month!  First, a juicy Sagittarius new moon on the 1st, a good time for conviviality.  Keep in mind that Mercury is retrograding in Sagittarius until the 15th, and the combination of the new moon and Mercury retro puts you in a good flow with your intuition.  The  Sag Sun moves into a square to Saturn in Pisces  on the 2nd for a few days of work stress.  But then things get interesting!  The Sag Sun opposes Jupiter retrograde in Gemini by the 6th, the same day that Mars in Leo begins its 10 week retrograde.   Whaaat?  Be watchful and try not to be reactive because something you thought was coming to fruition might be delayed or back-burnered.  Oh! And also on the 6th Mercury retrograde crosses over the Sagittarius Sun.  That will be a weird day, that’s for sure, and many plans and communication can go sideways.  By the end of the first week of December Jupiter retrogrades into a square to Saturn, and that angle lasts all month.  You are feeling tension between expanding your activities and interests and staying with the status quo.  It’s a good time for you to be making some long term plans and decisions under this aspect but remember that Mars retrograde throws some curveballs, and it lasts a good long while.  Venus enters Aquarius on the 7th and joins up with Pluto for a few days when your concern is intimacy and commitment.  Remember that with Mars and Mercury retrograding from the 6th til 15th  things are really wonky and you have to absolutely go with the flow.  Stay flexible. The 15th brings a Gemini full moon and the end of Mercury retrograde, so stay calm since you are likely to be very churned up. By the 17th The Sag Sun moves into a square to Neptune for a few days of the dreamtime. Stay close to your intuition.  The Sun enters Capricorn on the 21st, marking the Winter Solstice and the return of the light.  The Sun spends a few days in an angle to the Lunar Nodes, so enjoy friends and loved ones and ring in the light! We get two new moons this month, the second one – which is in Capricorn — falls on the 30th.  It will likely pack a punch—Mars retrograde opposes Pluto while Venus squares Uranus.  You will be especially intolerant of authority and repression under this transit, so avoid conflict.

CAPRICORN (Dec 21-Jan19)  December is interesting, and complicated, and well… impactful for you. The Sagittarius new moon opens up the month on the 1st, an enjoyable new moon, sparking connections and inspiration.  Mercury is retrograde in Sag right now, so between that and Mars turning retrograde on the 6th, you can expect plans and dates to be very changeable and fluid.  In fact, on the 6th Mercury retro crosses over the Sun so really pay attention to communication and information—things will be revealed.  The Sag Sun moves into a square to Saturn in Pisces on the 2nd for a few days of focus and work, and then Jupiter gets involved. In fact, Jupiter retrogrades into a square to Saturn and that combination lasts the whole month.  It’s an aspect which is fruitful for long range planning, especially about finances, so use it to evaluate your situation and see what guidance Mercury retrograde surfaces from your unconscious.  Venus leaves Capricorn on the 7th and enters Aquarius, catching up to Pluto for a few days where your concern is how you’re investing your resources and energy.  The 15th brings a full moon in Gemini and the end of Mercury retrograde, so that day will be a mess in terms of tech and travel.  By the 17th the Sagittarius Sun squares Neptune for a few days of creative inspiration.  The Sun enters Capricorn on the 21st, marking the Winter Solstice and the return of the light. Yay!   The Sun lines up with the lunar nodes, putting the emphasis on friends and loved ones.   We get two new moons this month, and this second on is in your sign Capricorn on the 30th.  This is normally a delicious new moon, good for planning and goal-setting. However, this time it is complicated:   Mars retrograde opposes Pluto while Venus in Aquarius squares Uranus.   Somebody is speaking truth to power.  Beware of power struggles.

AQUARIUS (JAN 20-FEB 9)  December is a wildly interesting month !  It begins with a convivial Sagittarius new moon on the 1st.  Enjoy that!  By the 2nd the Sagittarius Sun lines up with Saturn and you are backlogged with work, but stay calm, because Jupiter gets in the picture a few days later, and things ease up.  Keep in mind that Mercury in Sagittarius is retrograde so dates and schedules are wonky, and plans get a helluva lot wonkier on the 6th when Mars in Leo turns retrograde, a transit that lasts 10 weeks.  Yikes—so we have about 9 days when both planets are retrograde, throwing a wrench into the works. Remember to absolutely go with the flow during this period from the 6th through 15th.  Back to Saturn and Jupiter—by the 7th Jupiter in Gemini squares Saturn in Pisces  for the entire month, and this combination could bring some financial reckoning your way. If you are tempted to make big financial and real estate decisions, slow your roll a bit.  Be sure any decisions are grounded in deep inner guidance and common sense. Venus enters your sign of Aquarius on the 7th  and passes over Pluto, for a few days of reevaluating your commitments.  The Gemini full moon comes on the 15th, the day Mercury turns direct.   That will be a complicated day and the Geminis and Sagittarians in your life are likely to be a mess.   The Sagittarius Sun catches up to an angle to Neptune on the 17th for a few days of inspiration.  The Winter Solstice arrives on the 21st when the Sun enters Capricorn, marking the return of the light. The Sun lines up with the Lunar Nodes, and you’ll have fun with loved ones. The month ends with a second new moon—this one on the 30th in Capricorn, great for planning and goal setting.  However, Mars retrograde sits in angle to Pluto while Venus in your sign makes an angle to Uranus.  Oooh, the patriarchy is bugging you.  Stay calm.

PISCES (FEB 20-MAR 19)  Well, there sure is a lot of action in mutable signs to tweak you this month… Just sayin!  December kicks off with a convivial new moon in Sagittarius on the 1st.  Enjoy that! Remember that Mercury in Sagittarius is retrograde til the 15th, and that on the 6th Mercury retro crosses over the Sun and Mars in Leo begins its 10 week retrograde!!  Yikes!  Oh, and The Sun squares Saturn too this first week of December.  So don’t be surprised if you’re cranky and can’t remember what you’re doing from one minute to the next at least for the 9 days that both planets are retrograde.  If Mercury retro means go with the flow, Mars retrograde requires going with the flow on crack.   Plans can go sideways, expect curveballs, expect the unexpected, and if there are obstacles you cannot force your way through them.  Now for most of December Saturn in Pisces squares Jupiter in Gemini, which is a combination that makes you want to plan and get organized. Not sure that will be exactly effective in light of the retrogrades, so just hang loose and try to avoid big decisions this month.  The Gemini full moon comes on the 15th, the same day Mercury turns direct  — that combination is likely to wreak havoc with travel and schedules.   By the 17th the Sagittarius Sun squares Neptune in your sign Pisces, a great transit for creative inspiration.  The 21st brings the Winter Solstice and the return of the light as the Sun enters Capricorn. The Sun gets into an angle with the Lunar Nodes, emphasizing connecting with friends and loved ones. December brings us two new moons, and the second one is in Capricorn on the 30th.  This is usually wonderful moon for planning but this one is only good for planning a revolution. Mars retrograde opposes Pluto while Venus in Aquarius squares Uranus.  Looks to me like it’s time to scheme and plan resistance to authoritarianism…

ARIES (MAR 20-APRIL19)  December’s planetary action pulls you in many different directions, so get ready.  The month begins on the 1st with a pretty new moon in Sagittarius, improving your energy and overall outlook.  But on the 2nd the Sagittarius Sun squares Saturn in Pisces and you feel constrained by your workload and by world events. Soon after that Jupiter retrogrades into position with the Sun and Saturn, and you feel caught between expansiveness and staying home with what’s familiar in this uncertain time. And yeah, it is uncertain, with Mercury retrograde in Sagittarius til the 15th and Mars in Leo turning retrograde on the 6th, the same day Mercury retro crosses over the Sun. Whaaat?!  Yep, we have 9 days when both Mercury and Mars are retrograde, and your plans could go right out the window.  This is the ultimate in having to go with the flow—whatever is happening, you can’t fight it right now.   Just roll with it and see what happens—we are also in the run up to the Gemini full moon on the 15th, the day Mercury turns direct, making that full moon a big mess in terms of travel and dates and plans.  Like I said, all you can do is go with it. Use the Jupiter -Saturn square to stay grounded, since that transit does bring a balanced sense of time and allows you to take the long view.  By the 17th the Sagittarius Sun squares Neptune in Pisces, making it a good time for healing and spiritual practice.  The Sun enters Capricorn on the 21st, marking the Winter Solstice and the return of the light.  The Sun squares the Lunar Nodes, and it is an important time to connect with loved ones.  The end of the month is chunky, with a second new moon of the month —this one in Capricorn.  Mars retrograde opposes Pluto while Venus in Aquarius squares Uranus.  Sounds to me  ike a big power struggle, so stay grounded in your values of connection as you enter the fray.

TAURUS (APR 20-MAY 20)  December is kinda wild! It begins prettily enough with a convivial new moon in Sagittarius on the 1st, but on the 2nd the Sag Sun squares Saturn in Pisces, and you are feeling weighed down by work and responsibilities.  Mercury in Sagittarius is retrograde, adding the annoyance of time zone errors and missed appointments etc.. Jupiter is retrograding in Gemini and by the end of the week opposes the Sun for a couple days and moves into a square with Saturn, which is in effect for the whole month.  Saturn and Jupiter are good for long-range thinking and planning, for a kind of balance between expansion and holding firm.  However, on the 6th Mars in Leo begins its 10-week retrograde, throwing a wrench into all kinds of plans. To make matters…umm, more complicated,  on the 6th Mercury retrograde in Sagittarius crosses over the Sag Sun, and so expect the 6th to be particularly weird in terms of information, communication, technology, and plans.  Actually, expect the weirdness to last the entire 9 days that both Mercury and Mars are retrograde– from the 6th til the 15th.  You must absolutely go with the flow during this period.  I recommend flexibility for both of these retrogrades, because they affect a big swath of our daily lives: work, goal-setting, communication, tecnhnology.  Expect curveballs, expect the unexpected, and do not dig your Taurean hooves into the ground if you encounter an obstacle! And yes, there is a Full moon in Gemini on the 15th, the day Mercury turns direct, so that day will be a mess—or at least the Sagittarians and Geminis in your life will be a mess. Deep breaths.  By the 17th the Sag Sun squares Neptune in Pisces for a few days of creative inspiration. The Sun enters Capricorn on the 21st and it’s the Winter Solstice and the return of the light! Yay!  The month ends with the second new moon of the month, this one in Capricorn on the 30th.  Mars retrograde opposes Pluto for some power struggles while Venus in Aquarius squares Taurus, inspiring revolutionary fervor. It’s a good time for   organizing!

GEMINI (MAY 21-JUNE 20) December is an especially impactful month for you due to all the mutable energy in the sky, so get ready!  It begins with a convivial new moon in Sagittarius on the 1st, and you’re in a Gemini whirlwind of social engagements.   On the 2nd, reality hits in the form of a Saturn square to the Sag Sun, and you’re feeling the weight of your workload.  It passes quickly, as Jupiter in Gemini retrogrades towards the Sun and ultimately towards Saturn.  Saturn and Jupiter retrograde spend the month in a  90-degree angle, and you’re feeling split between the new and different and the status quo. You are a bit less inspired  to take  risks right now, but that’s not necessarily a wise choice.  Use Mercury retrograde in Sagittarius to let your unconscious be your guide.  And then …[drum roll] …on the 6th Mars in Leo begins its 10-week retrograde, the same day that Mercury retrograde crosses over the  Sagittarius Sun. Pay attention—important information might come to light, especially during the 9 days when both Mercury and Mars are retrograde.   Remember that Mars retrograde is a time when things can go sideways but get to the same outcome you had wanted.  In other words, absolutely go with the flow, expect plans to change, expect curveballs, and do not fight any obstacles.  Go with the energy, not against it.  The full moon on the 15th is in Gemini, and Mercury turns direct that day.   You will be a hot mess, I’m afraid. I recommend staying home and having yourself a silent retreat.  Yes, I said silent.  By the 17th, the Sun makes a square to Neptune for a few days of creative inspiration.  The Sun enters Capricorn on the 21st, marking the Winter Solstice and the return of the light.  The Capricorn Sun makes an angle to the Lunar Nodes, a good time to connect with loved ones. The end of the month is intense – a second new moon on the 30th, this one in Capricorn, and Mars retrograde opposes Pluto while Venus in Aquarius squares Uranus.  Make love not war!!

CANCER  (JUNE 21- JULY 21)  )  December has a lot going on, that’s for sure.  It begins with a pretty new moon in Sagittarius on the 1st, inspiring some fun and conviviality.  On the 2nd, the Sagittarius Sun squares Saturn in Pisces and you’re feeling some heaviness and constraint, but it passes in a day or two.  In fact, Jupiter in Gemini retrogrades past the Sag Sun and spends the rest of the month squaring Saturn, an aspect that can be really grounding.  It can create a tension between expanding your horizons and staying stuck, so be sure to let Mercury retrograde in Sagittarius guide you from a deep inner level.  Speaking of Mercury retrograde, it crosses paths with the Sag Sun on the 6th, surfacing important information. On that same day Mars in Leo begins its 10-week retrograde !   Yikes, we will have 9 days when both are retrograde—an important time of apparent standstill but deep reflection for you.  Mars retrograde is always odd, a time when plans can go sideways but achieve the same result.  It absolutely requires going with the flow! Mercury turns direct on the 15th, the same day as the Gemini full moon. The Geminis in your life will be a mess.  By the 17th, the Sag Sun squares Neptune for a few days of creative and spiritual inspiration. Then on the 21st the Sun enters your opposite sign Capricorn, marking the Winter Solstice and the return of the light.  The Sun squares the Lunar Nodes, a good time for connecting with loved ones.  The month ends with a second new moon on the 30th, this one in Capricorn, with some intense planetary action. Mars retrograde opposes Pluto and Venus in Aquarius squares Uranus.  Ooh, this is a big clash of values and a power struggle.  Stay away from conflict.

LEO (JUL 22-AUG 21)   December is wild!  It begins with a nice Sagittarius new moon on the 1st, and you feel more energetic and inspired.  Then on the 2nd, the Sag Sun makes an angle to Saturn – it’s brief but nonetheless you feel its impact and you are aware of responsibility. Jupiter is retrograding in Gemini and moves past the Sun and into an angle with Saturn, where it spends the rest of the month.  The Jupiter-Saturn dynamic is interesting, usually facilitating a kind of wisdom and common-sense decision-making, especially about resources.  But this is not the time for big decisions, unless they are based on deep intuitive awareness. Mercury in Sagittarius is retrograde and remains so until the 15th. On the 6th Mercury retrograde passes over the Sun, and Mars in your sign of Leo begins its 10 -week retrograde, so that is a complicated day and it will be a complicated 9 days when both planets are retrograde, and a complicated 10 weeks of Mars retrograde.  With Mars retrograde expect curveballs, expect the unexpected, and absolutely go with the flow!  If there are obstacles you have to go with the energy and not fight it. With Mercury retrograde at the same time things might  feel like a standstill but they are far from stuck.  A lot will be happening underneath the surface of the conscious will and the conscious mind, so anything is possible. Mercury turns direct on the 15th, the day of the Gemini full moon so things will be wild and information will be revealed in surprising ways.  By the 17th the Sag Sun makes an angle to Neptune for a few days of confusion.   Then the Sun enters Capricorn and it’s the Winter Solstice.  The month ends with some intense aspects, a second new moon on the 30th – this one in Capricorn.  Mars retrograde opposes Pluto while Venus in Aquarius squares Uranus.  It’s a good time for scheming about resistance but avoid power struggles!

VIRGO (AUG 22- SEPT 21)   December has a lot going on for you since there is so much planetary movement in mutable signs… It begins with a pretty Sagittarius new moon on the 1st, inspiring fun and connection with others.  On the 2nd reality hits with Saturn squaring the Sun, and you’re weighed down with work for a few days.  Then Jupiter retrograde in Gemini quickly opposes the Sun, and by the end of the first week, makes an angle to Saturn where it hangs out for the rest of December. The Saturn-Jupiter angle is interesting  and can inspire you to make long-range plans and make financial decisions.  Keep in mind that Mercury in Sagittarius is retrograde until the 15th, and on the 6th, crosses over the Sag Sun.  Mercury retrograde is always good for intuitive process but might not be good for making Saturn-Jupiter kinds of decisions unless you are completely led by your dreams and inner guidance. On the 6th Mars in Leo begins its 10-week retrograde and so we have 9 days when both Mercury and Mars are retrograde !  You absolutely absolutely absolutely have to go with the flow—that means no forcing things through Virgo logic.  Mars retrograde can bring unexpected changes in plans; it can throw curveballs and surface resistance.  It is an interesting transit and Mercury retrograde in the mix will make it full of surprises.  The December 15th full moon this month is in Gemini, and Mercury turns direct that same day, bringing surprising information to light.  By the 17th the Sag Sun squares Neptune for a few days of creative inspiration.  The Sun enters Capricorn on the 21st, marking  the Winter Solstice and the return of the light. The Sun aspects the Lunar Nodes, putting an emphasis on relationships and connections.  December 30th brings us a second new moon, this one in Capricorn, and it packs a punch.  Mars retrograde opposes Pluto while Venus sin Aquarius squares Uranus.  That’s a line up of struggle and resistance!

LIBRA (SEPT 22-OCT21)  December begins with a pretty new moon in Sagittarius on the 1st, improving your energy and overall outlook.  But on the 2nd the Sagittarius Sun squares Saturn in Pisces and you are back to the grind, back to your heavy workload. Soon after that Jupiter retrogrades into position with the Sun and Saturn, and you are able to find a balance between creativity and stability, at least for the moment. You might feel inclined to stay home and ground yourself in the  familiar in this uncertain time. And yes, speaking of uncertainty, Mercury is retrograde in Sagittarius til the 15th and Mars in Leo begins its 10-week retrograde on the 6th, the same day Mercury retro crosses over the Sun. That means 9 days when both Mercury and Mars are retrograde, and you might find yourself  at a standstill but a standstill that gets the job done, if that makes sense.   Mars and Mercury retrograde  are the ultimate in going with the flow—whatever is happening, you can’t fight it right now.   Just roll with it and see what happens—we are also in the run up to the Gemini full moon on the 15th, the day Mercury turns direct, making that full moon a big mess in terms of travel and dates and plans.  If there are obstacles do not fight them: go with where the energy is, not where it is blocked. Use the Jupiter -Saturn square to stay grounded, since those two planets  does bring a spacious sense of time.  By the 17th the Sagittarius Sun squares Neptune in Pisces, making it a good time for creative practice.  The Sun enters Capricorn on the 21st, marking the Winter Solstice and the return of the light.  The Sun squares the Lunar Nodes, an important time to connect with loved ones.  The end of the month is challenging, with a second new moon of the month —this one in Capricorn.  Mars retrograde opposes Pluto while Venus in  Aquarius squares Uranus, signifying a clash between repressive forces and liberatory ones.   Make love not war!

SCORPIO (OCT 22-NOV 21)  December  begins prettily enough with a convivial new moon in Sagittarius on the 1st, but on the 2nd the Sag Sun squares Saturn in Pisces, and you  feel constrained by responsibilities.  Mercury in Sagittarius is retrograde, requiring that you tune into your intuition. Jupiter is retrograding in Gemini and by the end of the week opposes the Sun for a couple days and moves into a square with Saturn, which is in effect for the whole month.  Saturn and Jupiter are good for long-range thinking and planning, for a kind of balance between expansion and holding firm.  However, on the 6th Mars in Leo begins its 10-week retrograde, and so get ready for some curveballs. Just to add to the curveball effect,  on the 6th Mercury retrograde in Sagittarius crosses over the Sag Sun, and so expect the 6th to be particularly weird in terms of communication, technology, and plans.  Actually, expect the weirdness to last the entire 9 days that both Mercury and Mars are retrograde– from the 6th til the 15th.  You must absolutely go with the flow during this period.  Flexibility is the name of the game—not your strong suit, if I may so bold! –because both retrogrades affect a big swath of our daily lives.  Expect the unexpected, expect things to change and if you encounter an obstacle, don’t fight it or assume you can charm it out of the way ! There is a Full moon in Gemini on the 15th, the day Mercury turns direct, so that day will be a mess—or at least the Sagittarians and Geminis in your life will be a mess. By the 17th the Sag Sun squares Neptune in Pisces for a few days of deep spiritual  inspiration. The Sun enters Capricorn on the 21st and it’s the Winter Solstice and the return of the light.  The month ends with the second new moon of the month, this one in Capricorn on the 30th.  Mars retrograde opposes Pluto for some power struggles while Venus in Aquarius squares Taurus, inspiring revolutionary fervor and speaking truth to power.
