GEMINI (MAY 21-JUNE 20)  What a month!  June begins with one helluva call to collective action!  You’re concerned about the state of the world and carrying the mantle of the Venus retrograde ethos of “no one is free til we are all free.”  Go for it, just make sure you’re prepared for tear gas.  Speaking of Venus retrograde, it meets up with your Gemini Sun on the 4th, so pay extra attention to where your life is in sync with your values and where it isn’t.  This clash of values between you and the world is especially intense this week, and the Sagittarian full moon and eclipse on the 5th makes you a bit righteous.  Your urge to action continues the week of the 7th, thanks to Mars squaring off to the Sun.  Mid -week you can put that Mars energy to work with Neptune:  do something big, make some art, dance or protest in the street.  It is also a good time for meditation and healing.  Your ruling planet Mercury goes retrograde in Cancer on midnight the night of the 17th .  You know the drill—expect tech glitches and missed appointments, but enjoy the dreamtime aspect of it. The Sun enters Cancer on the 20th – it’s the Summer Solstice!—followed a few hours later by the Cancer new moon early on the 21st.  This is a delicious new moon that is all about feeling connected to the human family.  On the 24th the Cancer Sun makes an angle to Jupiter and Pluto and you had better reassess some financial decisions.  Early on the 25th Venus in Gemini turns direct after its six weeks of retrograde.  Do some reflecting on what you have learned from Venus about where to put your energy.

CANCER  (JUNE 21- JULY 21)  Yes, it’s quite a month.  Venus retrograde has you shaken up and you can’t stand the disregard for humanity.  During the first week of June the Sun and Mars inspire you to take action, to want to protect those in danger. It’s all about values and interconnectedness, and you are all churned up.  Use Mercury in your own sign to take care of people in the Cancerian ways you know best: cook them food and lend them an empathic ear.  The full moon in Sagittarius on the 5th is especially intense and even mild-mannered Cancer feels the burn of anger.  Take some salt baths and keep yourself grounded.   The week of the 7th brings powerful Sun-Mars-Neptune influences that are inspiring and even transcendent if you can use them.  Yoga, dance, art-making are all in order!  Your muses are very close indeed.  Late late late on the 17th Mercury in Caner goes retrograde.  Oy!  That’s right— make sure your computer is backed up. Expect some miscommunications and crossed wires.  Let your unconscious bubble up—Mercury retrograde is downtime for the linear mind and dreamtime rules, so enjoy it.  Since it’s in Cancer it will be particularly fruitful for your intuition. Jupiter and Pluto get very close again the second half of the month, putting the focus on resources and sustainability.  Then the Sun enters your own sign on the 20th—it’s the Summer Solstice! It’s followed a few hours later by the new moon in Cancer early on the 21st.  This is a delicious new moon, full of inspiration for you, and emphasizing your connections with loved ones.  By the 24th the Sun joins up with Jupiter and Pluto to highlight how you’ve been spending time and money, just as Venus finishes its retrograde on the 25th. This will give you a lot of food for thought!  Don’t stress-  just reflect and learn from Venus.

LEO (JUL 22-AUG 21)  Put on your seatbelt! June begins with a massive values clash between you and the planet.  Venus retrograde inspires you to speak truth to power, especially with some Mars action that makes it impossible for you to stay on the sidelines.  If you can’t get into the fray use Mars in Pisces to send loving -kindness and other kinds of support to the protesters. The intense energy of the week culminates with the Sagittarius full moon and eclipse on the 5th which coincides with Venus retrograde passing in front of the Sun. It’s a turning point, baby.  The vibe shifts the week of the 7th when the Sun lines up with Mars and Neptune, stimulating your visionary thinking and commitment to collective humanity.  Yes, we are all connected. Midnight on the 17th brings Mercury retrograde so expect some confusion and misinformation.  Remember that Mercury retrograde is great for inspiration and intuition—definitely pay attention to your dreams—but it could wreak some havoc with your technology.  Then it’s Summer on the 20th when the Sun enters Cancer.  This beautiful solstice has the new moon in Cancer just a few hours later on the 21st. This is a powerful new moon for the world, and let’s hope it inspires some care and attention for the planet and everyone on it.  A few days later the Cancer Sun aspects the potent combo of Jupiter and Pluto, putting the focus on resources and sustainability, just as Venus turns back around. Time to reorder your priorities.

VIRGO (AUG 22- SEPT 21)   Oh honey – you are glued to every information source you can set your eyes and ears on to track the latest events roiling the public sphere.  Venus retrograde is rising up to challenge oppression, and you are there with Venus, especially at the start of the month as pressure builds towards the Sagittarian full moon – always a good one for standing up for justice and human rights.  Mars is in Pisces, your opposite sign, compelling you to take action for the greater good.  All this Gemini, Sagittarian, and Piscean energy squares off to your Virgo self and you are fit to be tied. Deep breaths!  The week of the 7th things begin to shift for you as Mars gets into angles with Neptune and the Sun.  It is a good time for you to be working your creative muscles. Late on the 17th Mercury turns retrograde in Cancer, and as your ruling planet, Mercury retrograde always has a big effect on you.  Get ready for plans to be rearranged, for mistakes to be made, and miscommunication to occur.  But it’s a delightfully dreamy transit, so pay attention to your inspirations and intuitions. Go with the flow in a major way! Happy Summer on the 20th, when the Sun enters Cancer for the Summer Solstice, followed a few hours later by the Cancer new moon and eclipse.  This is a powerful and beautiful new moon – use it for setting new plans and nurturing inspiration.  A few days later the Sun lines up with Jupiter and Pluto, right as Venus turns back around.  It’s time to put plans into motion about resources, making sure your life and decisions align with your values.  Expect Mercury retrograde annoyances the last day of the month.

LIBRA (SEPT 22-OCT21)  June begins with wave after wave of collective angst hitting you smack on the head.  Mars in Pisces has you alternating between anguish and hope.  Venus retrograde has you celebrating the urge to stand up for what’s right, especially in the run-up to the Sagittarian full moon and eclipse on the 5th,  and just in time for the powerful transit of Venus retrograde crossing the Sun.  Talk about a moment of truth!!  The week of the 7th Mars moves on to Neptune and makes an angle to the Gemini Sun.  Now it’s important to balance the urge to action with giving yourself space to grieve and do self-care.  Yoga has never been more important.  Grieve for the planet, for the deaths, for the systemic inequalities. Grieve — and then harness the deep Piscean sense of connectedness to all things and the Venus retrograde value of relatedness.  Grieve—and then engage your creative vision.  By the 17th Mercury turns retrograde in Cancer for three weeks.  Remember—you’ve got to go with the flow and expect a certain amount of change in a world that is so uncertain right now you could lose your mind.  But Mercury retrograde in Cancer is delightfully watery and dreamy, so please try to enjoy it.  The Summer Solstice falls late on the 20th when the Sun enters Cancer, followed a few hours later by a beautiful new moon in Cancer early on the 21st.   This is a juicy new moon – use it to feel connected to loved ones and to this wee blue planet of ours.   The Cancer Sun lines up with Jupiter and Pluto by the 24th to shine a light on resource questions, just as Venus turns back around on the 25th.  Take all that you’ve learned from Venus retrograde to recreate some structures according to clearer values.

SCORPIO (OCT 22-NOV 21)  Venus retrograde can be like the rageful goddess, and honey, you’re raging. You have had it with individualistic, selfish behavior that doesn’t attend to the greater good.  The first week of the month really brings out the Kali in you, especially as we approach the Sagittarian full moon and eclipse on the 5th – always a good one for righteousness.   You’re extra riled up, thanks too to the powerful transit of Venus retrograde across the Sun in Gemini.  Things are coming to a head.  Calm yourself.  Then things start shifting the week of the 7th.  Mars in Pisces meets up with Neptune and the Sun. Feelings of connectedness and humanitarian oneness are running high, with some grief thrown in.  It is a great time to channel healing and creative energy. By the 17th Mercury in Cancer turns retrograde – your favorite, I know.   This is a delicious one, though, if you can handle more uncertainty and changes.  It is dreamtime for the rational mind, and you can love that, as your intuition takes over and carries you. The Sun enters Cancer on the 20th and it’s the Summer Solstice—yay!—followed by a juicy new moon and eclipse in Cancer a few hours later on the 21st.  Use this watery new moon to ground yourself in healing and relationships.  A few days later The Sun makes an angle to Jupiter and Pluto, and it’s time to put some plans into action about resources. Venus turns direct at the same time, adding extra clarity about those decisions.  Watch out for Mercury retrograde shenanigans at the very end of the month.

SAGITTARIUS (NOV 22- DEC 21) Aargh, your Sagittarian wisdom is in huge demand at the beginning of June, and you just want everyone to leave you alone so you can join the protests.  All the mutable energy going every which way in Gemini, Pisces and Sagittarius is overwhelming.  Venus retrograde is rising, standing up for the fight of her life, and you want in, especially since Mars in Pisces puts humanitarian concerns first.  The intensity increases as we approach Venus crossing the Sun in Gemini on the 4th and the Sagittarian full moon and eclipse on the 5th. You are in high dudgeon. Be sure to balance your outrage with birdwatching, Tai Chi and yoga, for gods sake, so your head doesn’t explode.  The week of the 7th Mars in Pisces catches up to Neptune and they both make an angle to the Sun.  Neptune amplifies Mars and so you are awash in a sea of grief and a feeling of  deep connection to humanity. Take care of yourself and also be buoyed by the hopefulness it signifies.  You’re not crazy— Sagittarians sense hope and possibility when others cannot. By the 17th Mercury turns retrograde in Cancer for three weeks.  You know the drill: go with the flow, expect linear process to break down and for information to be revealed in surprising ways.  Then it’s Summer on the 20th, when the Sun enters Cancer, followed hours later by the new moon and eclipse in Cancer early on the 21st.  This is a delightful new moon—enjoy its sweet emotional sensibility.  A few days later the Sun gets involved with Jupiter and Pluto for some planning and decisions about resources and home. Venus turns direct at the same time, giving you some extra clarity.

CAPRICORN (Dec 21-Jan19)  What a month this is! It begins with high public drama. You’re inspired to throw yourself into the fray, thanks to Mars in Pisces and Venus retrograde.  Collective action for the greater good, that’s what it’s all about. Tension and intensity builds as we approach the justice-seeking Sagittarian full moon and eclipse on the 5th as well as the transit of Venus to the Sun.  Things are coming to a head.  The energy shifts the week of  the 7th as Mars catches up to Neptune and they both make an angle to the Sun;  you’re able to be more philosophical and take the long view of social change.  People will need your grounded Capricorn wisdom this week since feelings of grief and urgency will be running high.  Then late on the 17th Mercury turns retrograde in Cancer, your opposite sign. This three- week transit will affect you in a big way; you’ll have trouble holding onto facts and times and dates.  Just go with the flow and let the dreamtime carry you.  The Sun enters Cancer on the 20th, and it’s the Summer Solstice. Yay!  Then the delicious new moon in Cancer occurs a few hours later, early on the 21st. Again, anything in Cancer is a big deal for you. This is a beautiful new moon, all watery and intuitive, mushy and relational.  Enjoy it.  A few days later the Sun contacts Jupiter and Pluto in your own sign, and it’s time to enact some plans about resources and sustainability.  At the same time Venus turns direct, adding to your clarity about how to incorporate your values into your decision-making.  Expect Mercury retrograde to throw you for a loop at the very end of the month.

AQUARIUS (JAN 20-FEB 19)  Venus retrograde is doing its thing to stir up protest, and Mars in Pisces has you yearning to be part of it. The upcoming Sagittarius full moon and eclipse on the 5th has you in a state of flaming outrage while Venus and Mars have you weeping.  You’re a hot mess. PISCES (FEB 20-MAR 19)  This month has many influences pulling at you, especially during the first week. Venus retrograde in Gemini is sparking mass protests and Mars in your sign of Pisces has you feeling all the worry and fear and excitement about these developments.  You don’t know what to do. The upcoming Sagittarian full moon and eclipse on the 5th adds to the mutable mess of feelings you’re experiencing.  Venus retrograde crosses paths with the Sun on the 4th and you are right to feel agitated by a sense that things are coming to a head.  Avoid arguments with random people!  The following week brings a whole other dynamic.  Mars in Pisces catches up to Neptune and they both make an angle to the Sun. A sense of responsibility to the collective, of belonging to each other, rises to the surface even as you feel a lot of grief and sadness. You have to ride the waves of all of it , figure out where you can make a difference, and also take care of yourself.  Mercury goes retrograde the night of the 17th in the sign Cancer, another water sign.  This three -week transit will add to the sense of instability, of changing circumstances. The sense of shared humanity grows, as  does the sense of collective  grief.  Be sure to attend to your own grief as you try to carry it for others, and keep your Aries flames of hope burning. There is always a spark of growth and change and it is the fire signs of the zodiac who carry that. TAURUS (APR 20-MAY 20)  Venus is your ruling planet, and its retrograde self is throwing down right now, speaking truth to power.  You are alternately excited at the prospect of a mass movement for justice and terrified at the state’s response and the likelihood of more death.  Mars in Pisces  has you thinking big and developing Taurean plans for protecting the most vulnerable, because that’s what you do.  The urgency you feel is through the roof, amplified by the upcoming Sagittarian full moon and eclipse on the 5th.  Venus retrograde also passes across the Sun on the 4th, so that feeling of uh -oh, what’s coming has you hitting the ice cream pretty hard.  Pick your battles—we still have three weeks of Venus retrograde.  By the 7th, the energies morph.
