VIRGO (AUG 22- SEPT 21) This is an interesting month, with lots of planetary action in Virgo that complicates your life a bit…September starts with a very odd beginning, kicking off with Mercury at the tail end of its retrograde and crossing paths with Mars in late Leo. Hmm, this could exaggerate miscommunication and misfirings of all kinds, especially in regard to travel.
Mercury turns direct on the morning of the 5th, and is followed by a whopping full moon in Pisces at 303 am on the 6th. Neptune is smack in the middle of this full moon and it is bringing to a head an immense amount of unclarity. As if Mercury retrograde hasn’t been confusing enough, we have this huge swirling Neptune effect and it is very difficult for you to know what is going on, what is coming, what you should do or not do. I know – I am always urging you to go with the flow but the transits this week absolutely require it! Things will begin to become clarified after the full moon and after Mercury straightens out. Meanwhile Mars moves into Virgo on the 5th and Mercury follows suit on the 10th. The second week of September is quite calm. Then by the 14th there are a few days of the Sun squaring Saturn, bringing you some pressure and hard work. The Virgo new moon occurs in the wee hours of the morning of the 20th and brings intense Mercury-Neptune aspects. This is a powerful new moon for intuitive visioning and healing. Use it to see the parts of your life that you need to bring into focus. The Fall Equinox, when the Sun enters Libra, is on the 22nd, and it ushers in a more odd influences. Mars in Virgo opposes Neptune for the next week while Jupiter also opposes Uranus at the same time. Mercury in Virgo squares Saturn for few days starting on the 26th. What can all this possibly mean? The Mars Neptune influence allows you to project a lot of visionary and creative energy, and it expresses itself especially well physically, through dance and other movement, but it is helpful for any creative process. So use it! Jupiter and Uranus in opposition create surprising openings and connections. Know that in the midst of all this Uranus-Neptune expansiveness Saturn and Mercury can make you anxious and tight for a few days. Try to roll with it….
LIBRA (SEPT 22-OCT21) September starts as Mercury retrograde gets ready to finish its retrograde stint on the 5th, so not only has Mercury slowed down but it spends those first few days of September in the same spot as Mars in Leo. Oy! That is potentially a tense few days where the potential for miscommunication and poor timing is great. The confusion is exaggerated by the full moon in Pisces in the early hours of the 6th – this full moon falls exactly with Neptune. The big watery energy of this full
moon is inspiring and mysterious and it hides as much as it illuminates. So get ready for the first week of the month to feel like completely altered reality. Once the full moon passes and Mercury straightens out clarity should emerge for you personally as well as for the planet. The Sun catches up to a square to Saturn for a few days on the 14th, and this will bring days of pressure and intense work, perhaps some frustration. The Virgo new moon falls on the 20th , along with a Mercury – Neptune opposition. Oh, things will not be what they seem, but it’s a wonderful new moon for inspiration. Then the Sun enters your own sign on the 22nd, marking the Fall Equinox. Put on your seatbelt for the last week of the month which has many disparate influences: Mars opposes Neptune, Jupiter opposes Uranus, and Mercury squares Saturn. Huh? That is a great deal of beautiful and creative energy which Mercury and Saturn can help you harness and ground, as long as you don’t get too tense about it.
SCORPIO (OCT 22-NOV 21) Well, September begins with very powerful and otherworldly influences that build up towards the
full moon in Pisces on the 6th. For the first few days of September Mercury retrograde slows down and pairs with Mars at the end of Leo to create weird conditions for communication and travel. This first week will test your capacity to relax, not stress, and to completely go with the flow. The full moon in Pisces falls exactly with Neptune, so it’s an incredibly potent lunation, long on inspiration and healing but also on confusion. Neptune has a smoke and mirrors quality, now you see it, now you don’t, and your sense of what you’re doing and wanting has been elusive for you. It will become clearer after the full moon passes. Things remain calm until the 14th, when the Sun squares Saturn for a few days of stressful work. There is a beautiful new moon in Virgo on the 20th with Mercury –Neptune aspects that are wonderful for inspiration and healing. The Fall equinox falls on the 22nd, and the Sun enters Libra, followed by a week of slightly contradictory aspects. Jupiter and Uranus bring serendipity and possibility while Mars and Neptune have a huge creative expansiveness. In the midst of that Mercury squares Saturn, making for some edgy tension. The trick is to let yourself move with the big energy, not the small.
SAGITTARIUS (NOV 22- DEC 21) Well, September has tons of Virgo and Pisces action which triggers your Sagittarian self left and right. The first few days of September are weird and it feels like time and space slip through your fingers. Mercury is at the end of its retrograde pass, getting ready to turn around on the 5th. Its close transit of Mars makes for potentially difficult
travel and communication, and the big whopping full moon in Pisces on the 6th adds to the sense of having no control over things. This Pisces full moon sits exactly with Neptune, and oh honey, that’s a lot of watery emotional energy getting pushed around. Things are unclear and sloppy and you just have to go with them. Situations that have felt confused and muddled should start clearing after the 6th. Both Mercury and Mars enter Virgo – Mars on the 5th and Mercury on the 10th—so you have to be careful not to worry and tighten up. This is especially the case between the 14th and 16th the when the Sun in Virgo squares Saturn in Sag for a few days. You’ll be working hard and feeling stressed. The 20th brings a beautiful Virgo new moon with powerful Mercury-Neptune aspects, wonderful for healing and creative vision. Then it’s the Fall Equinox on the 20th, and the month ends with expansive Jupiter-Uranus and Mars-Neptune transits. Use the Mercury Saturn square that occurs in the midst of that to help you understand it and focus these big creative energies.
CAPRICORN (Dec 21-Jan19) This is an interesting month, with so much planetary energy in your fellow earth sign of Virgo which should be quite pleasant for you. However, the start of the month is pretty darn strange, what with the last few days of
Mercury retrograde and then the momentous full moon in Pisces on the 6th. Mercury turns around on the 5th but it sits with Mars, making for some fractiousness and wreaking some bit of havoc with travel plans. The Pisces full moon is very powerful because Neptune falls exactly on it, magnifying the great amount of emotional energies getting pulled this way and that. If you are feeling confused, unsure, unclear – this is why. Things in your life should begin to clarify after the full moon and Mercury goes direct. Then it is quite smooth sailing til the 14th when the Virgo Sun squares Saturn for a few days. Ugh. Stress, work, pressure, etc. But this influence moves off in a few days. Then there is a beautiful new moon in Virgo on the 20th, always excellent for planning, but even moreso this time because Mercury and Neptune make it especially visionary and inspired. The Fall Equinox follows on the 22nd, the Sun enters Libra, and the last week of the month is wild. Very expansive Jupiter-Uranus and Mars Neptune combinations bring all kinds of possibility and creativity and Mercury Saturn make you want to nail it all down and figure it out. Try to let the energies be big and let them expand your thinking.
AQUARIUS (JAN 20-FEB 19) This is an interesting month–and even a good one—if you can work with all the planets in Virgo… But first, there are other issues. The month begins with end of Mercury retrograde and a whoppingly huge Pisces full moon. Mercury retrograde spends a few days with Mars as it gets ready to turn around on the 5th, and this is a potentially
fractious combo so be careful of miscommunication. The Pisces full moon on the 6th is exactly with Neptune, and it is as if every droplet of water in the universe is moving around – that means emotions as well as that giant Hurricane heading across the Caribbean. So you may eb feeling overwhelmed and out of control, not able to know which way is up, Your Aquarian clarity has just gotten swamped by a tidal wave. No worries – after the 6th, things should start to become more clear. Use all the Virgo planets to help you make sense of what has come up for you and to help you put it into some kind of order. Things are quite calm until the Sun squares Saturn on the 14th for a few days of pressure and restraint. It passes quickly, ad then the 20th brings a gorgeous new moon in Virgo, always good for creativity and planning, but this time the Mercury Neptune influences makes it especially creatively powerful. The Fall Equinox is the 22nd and then the end of the month is unpredictable, fun, weird, and productive all at the same time.
PISCES (FEB 20-MAR 19) Oh me oh my!! This is an intense month for you! There are so many planets in your opposite sign of Virgo that trigger your ruling planet Neptune which is in your own sign … Need I say more? Yes, I must. The month begins with the end of Mercury retrograde, doing its usual, messing with travel plans and communication as it stalls out with Mars right
before turning around on the 5th. Its sloppiness is exaggerated by the full moon in Pisces on the 6th. And this is not a normal full moon in Pisces – it falls on the same degree as Neptune. So you are a giant ball of feelings, confusion, inspiration, and it is all sloshing around like that giant hurricane plowing across the Caribbean right now. All you can do is allow the Piscean water to move around, showing itself one minute and hiding the next. After the 6th, once we are past the full moon and Mercury has gone direct, things will begin to settle down and clarify themselves. Meanwhile Mars enters Virgo on the 5th and Mercury follows on the 10th. You’ll start feeling surprisingly grounded once that occurs. Then there is some stress that comes up for you with Sun-Saturn square on the 14th , but its fast-moving. Then there is a gorgeous and inspiring new moon in Virgo on the 20th. Use it to crystallize plans and to generate some creative projects. The fall equinox is on the 22nd, and the last week of September has wildly disparate energies operating. Kinda fun and different – lots of expansiveness and serendipity as well as an opportunity to harness it. Just don’t try too hard!
ARIES (MAR 20-APRIL19) September brings a ton of Virgo planets to the sky which is always challenging for you since it is a sign that operates so differently from your self- motivated bold and fiery way of being. But there is something else – the start of the month is crazy for everyone, including you. Mercury is at the end of its retrograde pass, stalling with Mars and complicating
travel plans before it turns around on the 5th. A very powerful full moon in Pisces falls on the 6th, and it is a whopper because it falls exactly with Neptune. What?! Oh my, every drop of water is moving around in your psyche as well as on the planet. You are awash in big watery inspiration and moving in and out of other worlds. Have fun with it and just let go – there is nothing you can do anyway. Things will start to clarify themselves once Mercury turns direct and the full moon passes. Then it’s fairly smooth sailing until some stress comes up around the 14th — there will be a lot of work and/or something and/or someone jamming you up. But it’s just for a few days. Then there is a beautiful new moon in Virgo on the 20th with very inspiring Mercury-Neptune aspects. Use it! The Fall Equinox is on the 22nd when the Sun enters Libra, your opposite sign. The last week of the month is wild, with serendipitous Jupiter Uranus aspects, expansive Mars Neptune, and highly focused Mercury Saturn. That should be fun, as long as you can go with the big energy and not try to constrain it.
TAURUS (APR 20-MAY 20) If you can get through the oddness of the start of the month – the end of Mercury retrograde and the whoppingly big full moon in Pisces on the 6th – you will be fine. There is a great deal of Virgo energy in the sky this month, and as a fellow earth sign you should feel comfortable with that. But back to the week of the 3rd – Mercury turns around on the 5th, but not before some confusing travel and communication. Confusion and unsettledness are the name of the game this week,
because the Pisces full moon sits exactly with Neptune. Not only is every ounce of water on earth being moved around by this lunation but also it makes for changing and confusing circumstances. You won’t know anything until after the 6th, so you have no choice but to roll with the unclarity… By the 10th, both Mars and Mercury are both in Virgo, as is the Sun. That’s lots of conscious, planful and creative energy, so you will do well with it. There may be some stress or restraint around the 14th to 16th when the Sun squares Saturn, but it moves quickly. Then there is a gorgeous new moon in Virgo on the 20th with strong Mercury-Neptune aspects, wonderful for inspiration and creative work. It’s the Fall Equinox on the 22nd and the month ends with some unpredictable and expansive energies.
GEMINI (MAY 21-JUNE 20) Oh honey, I hope you are in a beautiful place and away from the fray for the first week of September, since the end of Mercury retrograde and the Pisces full moon could be causing you some angst… Mercury turns direct
on the 5th but it sits with Mars and messes up travel and communication just a bit, and then the Pisces full moon is on the 6th. This is a very important and powerful full moon because it falls exactly with Neptune, and it’s significant for you because all the Virgo and Pisces energy in the sky triggers the hell out of your Gemini self. This full moon is moving a lot of water around the earth and moving a lot of feelings in your heart, so get ready to feel overwhelmed one minute and confused the next. Just let it wash over you like a big wave, and know that you’ll come up for air when it’s over. Then things are quite calm and you might even like the Mars and Mercury in Virgo effect which can settle you down and make you feel productive. On the 14th, the Sun squares Saturn for a few cranky days of pressure and restraint. The 20th brings a beautiful new moon in Virgo with strong Mercury-Neptune influences of creative inspiration. Then it’s the Fall Equinox on the 22nd, and the end of the month has a very different feel – expansive, unpredictable. Your job is to let the movement in your life be big and not try to put it in a box.
CANCER (JUNE 21- JUL 21) This month has its ups and downs, and starts with some very dramatic energy. Mercury turns direct on the 5th, not before a few days of testy communication and confused travel plans. It combines with the big and confusing energies of the full moon in Pisces on the 6th to make life seem unsettled and weird. This full moon is a big one – it falls exactly with Neptune – and moves every ounce of water on the planet. That means you, oh Cancer water sign. So you are awash in
feelings and sensations and awarenesses and you can’t hang on to them. No worries, it will all begin to make sense after the 6th, once Mercury straightens out and we are past the full moon. All the Virgo energy in the sky should be quite agreeable for you and allow you to be grounded and productive. Watch out for the few days around the 14th when the Sun squares Saturn and you could feel frustrated and constrained. Then there is a beautiful new moon in Virgo on the 20th with very inspiring Mercury-Neptune aspects, which is great for creative work of any kind. The fall equinox is on the 22nd, and it ushers in a very different set of aspects at the end of the month – expansive, unpredictable, serendipitous.
LEO (JUL 22-AUG 21) Well, the start of the month is slightly weird: Mars and Mercury retrograde join up in late Leo (uh-oh, at the same degree in Leo as the recent eclipse…) just as Mercury turns direct on the 5th. This is enough to confound communication and travel plans. The powerful full moon in Pisces on the 6th just adds to the confusion and uncertainty. This full moon falls exactly with Neptune, so it is extremely powerful, pulling every drop of water on earth this way and that. That is also true
emotionally – you may feel swamped by feelings that you can’t quite process or understand or hang onto. That’s okay – nothing will make much sense til after the 6th. You really have no choice but to go with it. Things are quite calm until the 14th when the Sun in Virgo squares Saturn, bringing pressure and a sense of being hemmed in. It moves quickly, so don’t sweat it. All of the Virgo energy in the sky this month gives you an opportunity to make some organic order in your life but it’s important to not agonize about it. There is a beautiful new moon in Virgo on the 20th with strong Mercury- Neptune aspects which give you a lot of creative inspiration. Use it. The it’s the Fall Equinox, and the month ends with expansive and surprising energies. Let the movement flow into your life and don’t let Mercury and Saturn make you worry about the small stuff.
