 LIBRA (SEPT 22-OCT21) October is…. interesting! (Oh, I know, you hate when I say that!)   First of all, there is a quite delicious new moon in Libra right out of the gate on the eve of October 1^st that brings nice Mars-Jupiter effects. This will be a particularly productive new moon for you so please take time out of your busy Mars-Jupiter schedule to generate some new plans and projects. Speaking of Jupiter, that planet of growth and opportunity just entered your own sign in September, gracing you with its beneficence. It will remain in Libra for the entire next year. Back to this month: The Mars –Jupiter square is in place for the first 10 days of October, which is quite wonderful for enjoying what you’re doing and having work go well. Mercury enters Libra on the 7^th. Saturn begins to separate from Neptune as the month progresses— yay yay yay! Mercury in Libra catches up to Jupiter for a few days on the 13^th, and things are pretty quiet until the full moon in Aries on the 16^th. Listen up: this full moon is a mess for everyone, and especially for you! It falls on the earth axis so let’s steel ourselves for global drama. It falls right on Uranus, and at the same time Mercury in Libra squares Mars and Pluto in Capricorn and Saturn squares the North Lunar Node. The Mars-Mercury-Pluto business makes for a bit of combativeness and Uranus will have everyone on edge. If your birthday falls near the 16^th, be a bit careful: the Aries full moon could take you out of your Libran carefulness and dump you smack into rash expression and behavior. It will be interesting, that’s for sure! Make sure you spend time with loved ones so Saturn and the Node don’t pull you into an Eeyore kind of funk. Then things quiet down again til the end of the month… Venus enters Sag on the 18^th, and the Sun enters Scorpio on the 22^nd. From the 26^th til the 30^th Mercury in Scorpio pairs up with the Sun, while Venus catches up to Saturn in Sag and Mars in Capricorn squares Uranus. The Uranian antsiness will inspire you to dig deeply into serious communication and renegotiate commitments, especially on the second new moon of the month on October 30^th.

SCORPIO (OCT 22-NOV 21) The month of October has some ups and downs, and at least the ups are quite peaceful… The month begins with a beautiful new moon in Libra with strong Mars-Jupiter aspects. Definitely use this moon to make new plans! You’re productive and having fun, and this stretch lasts a good 10 days so enjoy. Saturn is on the move—finally—and begins to pull away from the endless bog it’s been in with Neptune. Venus is in your own sign of Scorpio til the 18^th. Things get chunky in the middle of the month, sorry to say. The full moon in Aries occurs on the 16^th and it lines up exactly with Uranus, bringing global tumult our way. Mercury squares Mars and Pluto, and Saturn squares the North Node. Oh wow, that’s a bit fractious. Be careful about hot tempers and try not to be provoked—or provoke others! Then things quiet down again… The Sun enters Scorpio on the 22^nd followed by Mercury on the 24^th. Mercury and the Sun pair up til the 30^th and you’re full of intense Scorpionic insight. Mars squares Uranus at the same time and Venus catches up to Saturn in Sag. Hmm. You’ll be feeling kind of serious, and perhaps scared silly by world events.   You will want to hunker down with people you love and trust. Interestingly, October brings us two new moons, and the second one is in Scorpio on October 30^th. Now a new moon in your watery deep sign of Scorpio is beautiful thing, wonderful for harnessing your intuition.

 SAGITTARIUS (NOV 22- DEC 21) October is an interesting month – some definite ups and some serious downs. October begins with a gorgeous new moon in Libra on the eve of the 1^st, so use it to focus and generate new projects. Mars is in productive Capricorn and squares Jupiter in Libra for the first 10 days of the month. This is a sweet combination for getting things done with a lot of enjoyment thrown in. The month rolls on, and Saturn in Sag starts pulling away from Neptune, to which it’s been glued for the past few months. Free at last! Then October gets complicated around the full moon in Aries on the 16^th. The full moon falls right on Uranus and the whole thing sits on the Earth axis. Oh our little blue ocean planet! This is a tumultuous full moon: besides Uranus, Mercury squares Mars and Pluto. People will be tense and ready to fight. The Aries moon might inspire you to speak before you think – always slightly problematic for a Sag. Saturn in Sag is also squaring the North Lunar Node, leading to a certain amount of …. Shall we say, mistrustful reactivity. In other words, you’ll have a very thin skin around this full moon. Then everything changes. Venus enters Sag on the 18^th. The Sun enters Scorpio on the 22^nd followed by Mercury on the 24^th for a few days of intense Scorpionic perceptiveness. By the 26^th Venus catches up to Saturn and you get very serious indeed about relationships and commitment. Meanwhile Mars in Capricorn squares Uranus, and so you find yourself torn between Saturnian commitment and Uranian freedom. What’s a Sag to do? Use the second new moon of the month (now that’s a boon!) on October 30^th to do some deep reflection!

 CAPRICORN (Dec 21-Jan19) October has some high points and some low points, much of them occurring in Cardinal signs that will have a big effect on you.   It starts off with a gorgeous new moon in Libra on the eve of the 1^st and nice Mars-Jupiter aspects of accomplishment and fun. Mars is in your sign of Capricorn and it spends the first 10 days of the month squaring Jupiter. This is a productive and enjoyable combo. Things move along nicely until the full moon in Aries on the 16^th which falls right on top of Uranus, and on the Earth axis to boot. Uh oh. The world is in for some rockin’ and rollin’. Mercury in Libra squares Mars and Pluto in Capricorn on the full moon, adding to the combativeness –as if a full moon in Aries weren’t enough! So you are likely to be very stressed. It will be important for you to do whatever you can to stay grounded and calm… Avoid anything resembling conflict during this full moon. After the full moon the energy really shifts. Venus enters Sag on the 18^th, and the Sun enters Scorpio on the 22^,nd followed by Mercury on the 24^th. Focus on communication at the end of the month, especially in regard to relationships and commitment. You’ll be feeling kind of serious and ready to go deeply, while Uranus will help you expand your definition of commitment. Use the new moon in Scorpio on the 30^th to really envision where you want to go in your relationships.

AQUARIUS (JAN 20-FEB 19) Well, October has its ups and downs! The month starts with a new moon in Libra on the eve of October 1^st which brings in some nice and very productive Mars-Jupiter influence.   You will get a lot done over the first 10 days of the month and you’ll enjoy every minute of it. This month Saturn starts to separate from Neptune – where it has been parked all summer long – and you can breathe a sigh of relief. There will be some hints of movement in situations that have been stuck. The first half of the month is pretty easy-breezy until the Aries full moon on the 16^th. This full moon falls exactly on Uranus, and at the same time Mercury will be squaring Mars and Pluto. And all of this is on the Earth axis, so …. the world will take the hit. On a personal level it will heighten people’s combativeness and what can I say, folks will be out of control, especially Cardinal signs of Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn. You may want to lay low around this full moon…Then the energy really shifts: Venus enters Sag – always a good time—and on the 22^nd the Sun enters Scorpio, followed by Mercury on the 24^th. The end of the month is all about communication and commitment, while expanding your horizons with the help of Uranus, your ruling planet. The Venus –Saturn conjunction makes it a good time to make decisions, especially on the new moon in Scorpio on the 30^th.

 PISCES (FEB 20-MAR 19) After what seems like endless eons of the Saturn Neptune square, the energy starts to shift this month.   Yay! Saturn begins to pull away from Neptune and there will be some glimmerings of movement in your life. October starts off with a nice new moon in Libra on the eve of the 1st, always good for generating new ideas. To aid you in planning and cooking up schemes, Mars in earthy Capricorn squares Jupiter in Libra for the first 10 days of the month. You’ll get a lot done and have fun while you’re doing it. Then mid month things get a bit challenging. There is a very intense full moon in Aries on the 16^th which falls exactly with Uranus and on the Earth axis to boot. What fresh hell is this? The world will be a mess and everyone will be hyped up and tense. Moreover, Mercury in Libra squares Mars and Pluto in Capricorn so there will be a lot of saber-rattling going on, both personally and politically. Take your sensitive little self to the steambath or something and avoid anything or anyone that could stimulate conflict…. You know what I mean – not a good week to talk to reactionary siblings about the election. After the full moon, things ease up. Venus enters Sag on the 18^th which is always fun. The Sun enters Scorpio on the 22^nd, followed by Mercury on the 24^th, and by the 27^th they move together. Venus catches up to Saturn and Mars squares Uranus. The emphasis will be on communicating about commitment , while balancing an urge toward autonomy. Use the second new moon of the month (a nice boon!) on the 30^th to go deeply in relationship.

ARIES (MAR 20-APRIL19) This is an important month for you since the Sun is in Libra, your opposite sign. Remember that Aries is about the spark of selfhood while Libra is about the “Other” – our ideals and projections and everything we put on relationships. So it is good month for you to see yourself in the mirror of your relationships… October begins with a new moon in Libra on the eve of the 1^st, so use it to spark some new ideas about how you relate to others and to find balanced boundaries. Mars in earthy Capricorn squares Jupiter for the first 10 days of the month, which is quite delightful for getting things done, for being busy and happy and productive. Life gets very interesting for you around the full moon in Aries on the 16^th. Yup, the full moon is in your own sign (a configuration I always find personally challenging) and it is lined up with Uranus and the whole mess is on the Earth axis. The world is likely be going through a very fractious spasm yet again…and at the same time Mercury in Libra squares Mars and Pluto in Capricorn. That is a pretty combative line up, and that it all falls in Cardinal signs will trigger you like crazy.   You will need to do everything possible to stay calm. You may want to think about spending the 16^th in a bathtub and not setting foot outside.. Just sayin. After the full moon things shift—Venus enters Sag on the 18^th which is always fun, and on the 22^nd the Sun moves into Scorpio, followed by Mercury on the 24^th. The end of the month is intense but good, with a focus on deep communication about deep things like relationship and autonomy and commitment. Go for it. TAURUS (APR 20-MAY 20) October is an interesting month, with some good stuff and some crazy stuff, but nothing you can’t handle. It kicks off with a pretty new moon in Libra on the eve of the 1^st and nice Mars-Jupiter aspects. Use this new moon to set some goals and Mars and Jupiter will help you meet them over the first 10 days of the month. Mars is in earthy Capricorn and squares Jupiter, making you busy as hell but you’re getting a lot done and having fun. Saturn is starting to pull away from Neptune –where it has been stuck for seemingly endless eons—and you’ll sense movement in various parts of your life. Then here comes Crazytown: the full moon in Aries occurs on the 16^th lined up exactly with Uranus and all of it on the Earth axis. Oh our poor blue ocean planet… It will be rockin’ and rollin’, I’m afraid. And Mercury in Libra squares Mars and Pluto in Capricorn – that’s a pretty martial combination, I think. Your job is to avoid conflict.   People will be tense and agitated and not exactly engaging in Right Speech. After the full moon, the energy really changes. Venus enters Sag on the 18^th, always fun. The Sun moves into your opposite sign of Scorpio on the 22^nd, followed by Mercury on the 24^th. The Sun- Mercury aspects favor communication and perceptiveness. GEMINI (MAY 21-JUNE 20) Well, the planets are on the move and October brings some new energy into your life. In fact, this Mars Jupiter square is in effect for the first 10 days of October. You’ll get a lot done and things should generally feel easier. CANCER (JUNE 21- JUL 21) This is an important month for you because there is so much action in Cardinal signs, beginning with the new moon in Libra on the eve of the 1^st. Mars in earthy Capricorn squares Jupiter for the first 10 days of the month, which will make it easy to actually manifest those ideas and plans and you’ll have fun doing it.   Things move swimmingly until the full moon in Aries on the 16^th. Oy! What a mess that is – it lines up with Uranus and falls on the Earth axis, making the world a combative, fractious place. Things will just feel easier, thanks to Mars and Jupiter, and also to Saturn finally finally finally! picking up a bit of speed and moving away form the bog of Neptune. The month moves swimmingly along until the full moon in Aries on the 16^th. Now that is a mess. The full moon lines up with Uranus and falls on the Earth axis. Mercury squares Mars and Pluto. This is a martial and combative and erratic set of influences and the world will be feeling it. People will be tense and edgy and likely to be scrappy.
