VIRGO (AUG 22- SEPT 21)  September is a quite a month for you! We go from one retrograde planet (Venus) to another (that would be Mercury!), and that’s the least of the juicy planetary action this month. Venus turns direct on September 6th, and as it slows way down the first week of September it makes a beautiful conjunction with Mars in Leo while pulling in the

influence of the North Lunar Node. This makes the start of the month really fabulous in terms of feeling as though you are on the same page as your partner.   It is a great week for shared efforts of all kinds. The Sun-Neptune opposition that is in effect for the first days of September makes you dreamy and inspired, wanting things that may not be possible. If you are engaged in a joint collective effort –especially a creative one — or are developing some kind of shared vision with others, this week will be really inspiring. After Venus turns direct Mars starts to pull away from it, leaving Venus aspecting the North Node all month. Nice!   That is all about feeling connected and loved. Around the 10th, Mercury in Libra squares Pluto for a few days, helping you exercise your intellectual muscles and go very deeply on a subject. The 13th brings a beautiful new moon in Virgo – again because of the Venus-Node aspects and Mercury-Pluto you’ll have the opportunity for deep mental focus and also for great satisfaction on the relationship front. Mercury – your ruling planet, let me remind you—goes retrograde on the 17th. For the week of the 17th to 24th you may be pulling your hair out just a tad, especially if are an early, just -over –the- line Virgo… Saturn makes a big angle to Mercury that week, and oy!   The hard drives will be a-crashing.   If you’re traveling, expect changes. Your nerves will be frayed that week, so try to summon all the equanimity you can… Remember that Mercury retrograde is wonderful for intuition and for gleaning information in surprising ways. This pass of Mercury retrograde occurs against an interesting backdrop– that of the Jupiter – Neptune opposition.   These are two big sloppy idealistic and excessive planets operating as one force – Jupiter in Virgo and Neptune in Pisces. It will be important this month for you to keep a grip on reality – that’s not usually hard for you but this month, do what you can to stay grounded. The Fall Equinox occurs on the 23rd, when the Sun enters Libra. Mars enters your sign on the 24th, when it spends the rest of the month squaring Saturn. Now that’s about goals and hard work and focus. There is a full moon in Aries (and eclipse!) on the 27th which should free up your will and drive.

LIBRA (SEPT 22-OCT21) What a month! I hope you are enjoying this end of Venus retrograde, which together with Mars, makes the first week of September feel productive and fun and that you are part of a shared effort.   Venus turns around on the 6th, and Mars moves away from it, but even so, it leaves Venus aspecting the North Lunar Node which is great for feeling loved and surrounded by friends. Mercury is in your own sign, and by the 10th it catches up with Pluto for a few days of really intense mental focus. You may doubt your own brain’s capacity to handle what you have to handle, and honey, can I just say, don’t be Libradoing that. Pluto brigs depth and focus to anything. There is a gorgeous new moon in Virgo on the 13th which you should use for getting organized and set up for the fall. In fact, I would definitely do that between the 13th and 16th because on the 17th….. (drumroll) Mercury goes retrograde. In Libra. And—for the first week of the retrograde it makes a big old angle to Saturn. That is a bit nerve-wracking. Hard drives could crash. People could be tense.   You could be completely wired and overwrought. But the good news is that the backdrop to the whole month is a Jupiter-Neptune opposition, which will take the edge off of any pesky Mercury-Saturn irritations. Jupiter – Neptune is expansive and idealistic and excessive and big big big. So enjoy that and know that the computer glitches will work themselves out. The Fall Equinox — when the Sun enters your own sign—falls on the 23rd this year. Get out there and celebrate. Mars enters Virgo on the 24th, and then there is a full moon in Aries (and eclipse) on the 27th. Despite Mercury retrograde—which could make you a space shot since it is in your own sign– Mars and the Moon conspire to make you very organized and together.

SCORPIO (OCT 22-NOV 21) So I hope that Venus retrograde has been fruitful for you… It’s almost finished!   In fact, it turns around on September 6 after spending a good solid week conjunct Mars in Leo. This first week of September is delightful in terms of feeling as though you are acting in shared purpose with people you love. Nice! The positive relationship dynamics halloweencontinue for the first half of the month, even after Mars moves away from Venus. The Sun-Neptune opposition which also occurs during the first week of September makes you dreamy and intuitive. Try to get to the ocean and get in touch with that watery Neptunian power! Speaking of Neptune — it spends the whole month opposing Jupiter in Virgo. This is the most expansive combination one could possibly have: it’s big, big BIG excessive energy. Enjoy it but try to stay a wee bit grounded.   There is a beautiful new moon in Virgo on the 13th, accompanied by intense Mercury – Pluto aspects which will allow you to focus very deeply on some task or problem. Then, hold on to your hat: Mercury goes retrograde on the 17th, and a helluva retrograde it is. It spends the first week up until the 24th or so in an angle to Saturn. Oy! People will be tense and miscommunication will abound, I’m afraid. If you’re traveling, it will be a mess. Remember to go with the flow – it only lasts three weeks. The fall equinox occurs on the 23rd, and then there is a full moon and lunar eclipse on the 27th. Your willfulness may be illuminated by this lunation so expect some complaints from your nearests and dearests…

SAGITTARIUS (NOV 22- DEC 21) Venus retrograde is almost over, and you get a week of a beautiful Mars-Venus conjunction in Leo before Venus turns around. The aspects to the North Node make this a wonderful week for feeling a shared sense of purpose with loved ones. Your ruling planet Jupiter has entered Virgo and is opposing Neptune—wow, how is this for a dynamic of excessiveness, expansiveness and idealism.   Sag favorites. You will be feeling really good this month with just a few bumps. The first week of September also brings a Sun-Neptune opposition, making you dreamy and romantic. Around the Sagittarius10th Mercury squares Pluto, and so it is a good time to focus your attention very deeply on a project or challenge. There is a gorgeous new moon in Virgo on the 13th and it is a great one for planning and organizing yourself for the fall. Then – Mercury goes retrograde on the 17th, and til about the 24th it is likely to wreak some havoc with you, especially if you are an early-early Sag. Saturn reenters Sag early on the 18th (that’s good news—it’s moving finally away from the stuck place it has occupied all summer) and aspects the Mercury retrograde. You may be tense and worked up and all your electronics could get fried at once. So just chill – it will pass. Remember that Mercury retrograde is great for intuitive processes. Happy Fall Equinox on the 23rd and then a full moon in Aries (and eclipse) on the 27th. You’re fired up!

CAPRICORN (Dec 21-Jan19)   The end of Venus retrograde should feel a tad different from how it started for you… The emphasis has shifted from evaluating resources to having a sense of being on the same page with loved ones. The first week of September is all about shared purpose. Nice! There is also a dreamy and idealistic Sun-Neptune opposition in place this week as well. Between that and strong Jupiter-Neptune influences all month, it will be surprisingly hard for you to keep your saturn-eclipse-100810-595x440Capricornian feet on the ground… Venus turns direct on the 6th but the relationship aspects continue to be positive for the next couple of weeks. There is a beautiful new moon in Virgo on the 13th which will help you get your schedule organized. The Mercury-Pluto aspects will facilitate some real focus. Then Mercury goes retrograde on the 17th—oy!   It’s a hellova Mercury retrograde, I must say, especially for its first week when it aspects Saturn. That combo is good for being nerved out and tense, and of course, your hard drive could crash. Expect some aggravation, especially if you’re traveling that week. Just remember to go with the flow. It’s the Fall Equinox on the 23rd, and Mars enters Virgo on the 24th. Mars spends a couple of days squaring Saturn—this combo is great for getting things done. The full moon in Aries (and eclipse!) on the 27th will have you feeling turbo-charged.

AQUARIUS (JAN 20-FEB 19) September starts off with a beautiful Mars-Venus conjunction in Leo as Venus retrograde slides toward September 6th, the day it turns around. This combination also aspects the North Lunar Node, and together they are all about shared purpose, about being in sync with your loved ones. Nice! The Venus retro lessons keep on coming, though, and so you are getting clearer about what partnership and collaboration means to you. The positive relationship aspects Aquariuscontinue through mid-September, so enjoy! There is a Virgo new moon on the 13th which is a powerful one for focusing deeply on a project or for really working your brain cells. Keep in mind that Mercury goes retrograde on the 17th, and the first week of its three-week stint might be challenging due to a chunky Saturn-Mercury angle. People will be stressed out and their technology may not work – you know how upsetting that can be! Just go with the flow. Overall, this Mercury retrograde may have you feeling a bit slow on the draw, but don’t worry – you’re not! Just stay close to your intuition and use the 3 weeks for more deep reflection or study.   The Fall Equinox is the 23rd , followed by Mars entering Virgo on the 24th when it aspects Saturn for a few days of hard work. There is an Aries full moon and eclipse on the 27th which will highlight people’s willfulness.   Between the full moon, eclipse, and Mercury, expect changes in your travel plans at the end of the month…. Just sayin’.

PISCES (FEB 20-MAR 19) September starts off beautifully with a conjunction of Venus retrograde and Mars in Leo, making for a sense of shared purpose. The North Lunar Node is also in the mix which puts the emphasis on people close to you. You’re feeling a sweet sense of connection, community and shared vision. Your ruling planet Neptune also plays a big role, opposing the Sun for the first week and then opposing Jupiter for the rest of the month. The Sun-Neptune effect is very inspiring from a creative point of view, and you’re antsy to get back into the studio. Jupiter and Neptune are like excessiveness seuss one-fishon crack, so watch it! These are two hugely expansive energies and your feet may have trouble staying on earth this month. (Speaking of feet, be careful – this weak spot of yours may be vulnerable this month!) Venus retrograde turns direct on the 6th and you will have ample opportunity to apply what you have learned on the Virgo new moon on the 13th.   It’s a nice one for making plans and getting organized. Then Mercury goes retrograde on the 17th and spends a good week in a pesky angle to Saturn. Oh jeez! Hard drives may crash; travel plans may get messy. People will be tense and edgy. Then Mercury spends the rest of the month in a square to Pluto so everyone will be deeply immersed in their unconscious. You may have trouble articulating what you are feeling and experiencing but that’s okay – things will be percolating for you on a deep level. The Fall Equinox is on the 23rd, followed by Mars entering Virgo on the 24th and immediately squaring Saturn. You’ll have your nose to the grindstone for a few days. The month ends with a big full moon and lunar eclipse on the 27th, in Aries no less. If you’re traveling, expect complications!

ARIES (MAR 20-APRIL19) The first week of September brings a beautiful conjunction of Venus retro and Mars in Leo which is all about a sense of shared purpose in relationships. This feeling is further highlighted by the Sun-Neptune opposition which is also in place during the first week of the month. Talk about romantic! Venus retrograde makes sure you don’t sidestep a deep appreciation of connection, community, and commitment. Nice! Venus turns around on the 6th but positive aspects forAries-Tribal-Tattoo relationships remain in place for the next couple of weeks, thanks to the North Lunar Node. The Virgo new moon on the 13th is an excellent time to generate plans based on what you learned during Venus retrograde. Mercury squares Pluto on and off this month giving you the ability to focus very intensely and delve deeply into your intuitive process. And Mercury goes retrograde on the 17th, which will help you drill down into that magical unconscious of yours. But keep in mind Mercury spends the first week of its retrograde pass in an angle to Saturn. This will be a challenging week, full of tension, misunderstandings and crashing hard drives…. Oh well, just go with the flow. The Fall Equinox occurs on the 23rd , with Mars entering Virgo on the 24th and squaring Saturn. That’s a few days of hard work. Get ready for a big full moon and lunar eclipse in Aries on the 27th.   Your untrammeled enthusiasm will be off the charts.

TAURUS (APR 20-MAY 20) Venus retrograde moves towards its day of turnaround on September 6th in a beautiful conjunction with Mars in Leo, bringing a sweet sense of shared purpose. The North Lunar Node is also in the mix and puts the focus on close relationships. You’re on the same page as your loved ones and that feels good. There is also a Sun-Neptune blog-animals-Texas_longhorn_cattle_bull_grazingopposition the first week of the month, so this sense of shared purpose is lofty and even visionary. And you are eager to work your creative muscles, whether it’s through canning tomato sauce or making art. (Maybe art is tomato sauce?) The new moon in Virgo falls on the 13th, and this is a powerful one for getting organized and thinking through some gnarly problems. In fact, Mercury squares Pluto on and off this month, so deep thinking and focus will come easily. But hold on—Mercury goes retrograde on the 17th! And it makes a difficult angle to Saturn between the 17th and 24th – oh you will be annoyed and tense. People will be obtuse and technology is likely to break down. Stay calm—it passes. Mercury retrograde will really work your intuition this month so pay attention to what you’re sensing, even if it seems outlandish. The Fall Equinox comes on the 23rd, followed by Mars entering Virgo on the 24th and a good few days of very hard work.   Then the month ends with a full moon and lunar eclipse in Aries on the 27th. If you’re traveling expect complications and bad weather. Emotionally expect some big weather too!

GEMINI (MAY 21-JUNE 20) During the first week of September Venus retrograde slides towards its turnaround on the 6th with Mars in tow. This beautiful conjunction is all about shared purpose and self-expression. Its connection to the North Lunar Node puts the focus on loved ones – you’re having a good time and feeling very held by friends and community. Nice! For most of the month Jupiter opposes Neptune, and if you were born between the 26th and 30th of May you will feel this effect Geminidramatically. These two planets are two of the biggest, sloppiest, most expansive energies out there, so enjoy! Dream big!   Use the Virgo new moon on the 13th to harness your vision and turn it into practical and integrated plans. The on -and -off square between Mercury and Pluto this month gives you the ability to corral your variety of interests and focus deeply on a project. And— your ruling planet Mercury goes retrograde on the 17th, spending til the 24th in an annoying angle to Saturn. You may be tense and edgy and having trouble with phones and laptops and schedules…. Try to roll with it. The Fall Equinox occurs on the 23rd, followed by Mars entering Virgo on the 24th. Mars spends a few days squaring Saturn, and so if you are an early Gemini my advice is to throw yourself into work and not talk to anyone … The month ends with a full moon and lunar eclipse in Aries. Now you can throw yourself at some actions and projects.

CANCER (JUNE 21- JUL 21) Venus is almost done with its retrograde, and it moves towards its turnaround on September 6th in a beautiful conjunction with Mars in Leo. This is all about a sense of shared purpose, about feeling in community with friends and relations. There is also a Sun-Neptune opposition this week, exaggerating yearnings and inspiration. It is a great time for creative work of any kind. Keep your feet on the ground this month — Jupiter spends most of September in opposition to Neptune. These are two big sloppy expansive energies that can throw you into the realm of excess. So use the Virgo new Cancermoon on the 13th to get yourself organized so that you have the tools at hand for the kind of exploration and adventure that Jupiter and Neptune represent. Mercury spends the month in an on- again/off -again square to Pluto, which will help you focus deeply and draw things right up out of your unconscious.   This is especially true once Mercury turns retrograde on the 17th. Keep in mind that from the 17th til 24th Mercury makes a pesky angle to Saturn so people will be tense and edgy and hard drives could crash. But otherwise it will be a rich and intuitive retrograde. The Fall equinox is on the 23rd, followed by Mars entering Virgo on the 24th. The Mars-Saturn square makes for a few days of very hard work. Then the month ends with a spectacular full moon and eclipse in Aries on the 27th. Stay out of the fray, and if you’re traveling, expect complications.

LEO (JUL 22-AUG 21) During the first week of September Venus retrograde heads towards its turnaround day of Sept 6th in a beautiful conjunction with Mars in your sign of Leo. This combination, together with the North Lunar Node, makes for a sense of harmony and shared purpose in relationships. Enjoy! There is also a Sun-Neptune opposition in place the first week, exaggerating idealism and vision and yearnings for peace. In fact, staring the second week Neptune opposes Jupiter for most of the month. These are two big and expansive forces that will inspire you and spark your creative vision. Use the Virgo new babycattmoon on the 13th to ground your vision in specific plans and projects and to make concrete the realizations you’ve had under Venus retrograde. Mercury goes retrograde on the 17th and from the 17th til 24th is an annoying angle to Saturn.   People are edgy and tense, although it is a great time for intellectual work. Just write by hand since your hard drive might melt….! Otherwise the Mercury retrograde will really engage your intuition and deep focus. The Fall Equinox occurs on the 23rd, followed by Mars entering Virgo on the 24th, and that is followed by a few days of a square to Saturn. A great time for hard work! The Aries full moon and lunar eclipse of the 27th is a big one. If you’re traveling, expect a mess, bad weather and the like. On the emotional front there is likely to be high water as well…
