CANCER  (JUNE 21- JUL 21)  Well, honey, this month brings you many interesting things, even if you’re feeling as though a bomb has just gone off in your life.  You just have to get through the first week of July, when things are really crazy and unpredictable and Saturn and Venus have you feeling a bit… well, subdued.  Even so, Jupiter has entered your sign for the first time in 12 years. This is a good thing.  Big old gassy Jupiter, the planet of fulfillment, of cycles coming to a close and new ones beginning, of expansion… this planet is in Cancer as of a few days ago.  Even in the midst of a lot of tumult, you have a sense of completion. You know there are changes you need to make.  Then on July 8^th there is a gorgeous new moon in Cancer with delightful Venus-Lunar Node aspects.  This is a time for you to connect with people you care about, a time for you to feel supported and loved. Mars enters Cancer on the 13^th and spends most of the rest of the month close to Jupiter.  Really nice!  This aspect will give you a sense of movement and purpose, especially from the 18^th til about the 25th.  Keep in mind that Mercury turns direct on the 20^th, so again, it is retrograde for most of July. This is the ultimate of ultimate retrogrades – keep things soft and smushy and don’t push any decisions.  You’ll know what to do from that deep ocean-y place in you.  The last few days of July may be challenging for you: there is a Sun-Saturn square and  Venus-Neptune opposition. The Saturn aspects hand you some perhaps unwanted responsibility, while you just want to go to the movies or watch reruns of Buffy The Vampire Slayer.  I’d opt for the latter.

LEO (JUL 22-AUG 21)  July starts off kind of wild and crazy with a great deal of tumult in the world.  You’re feeling serious

and needing to feel committed to something.  All this upheaval on the planet makes you need to be tethered to something or

someone meaningful.  Keep in mind that Mercury is retrograde and so you need to stay close to your intuition. This is not a time for quick actions or quick decisions.  Let things emerge. July 8^th brings a powerful new moon with lots of intuitive juice, so engage with your creativity.  Then on the 13^th Mars enters Cancer and quickly catches up to Jupiter, so those two planets

spend the second half of the month basically in step.  This is a great combination for things moving well, for having a sense of purpose and fun.  Enjoy it!  Mercury turns direct on the 20^th – remember, the day it turns around can be really trying!  Then on the 22^nd we have a big fat full moon in Aquarius right after the Sun crosses the line into Leo.  The full moon highlights the Mars-Jupiter let’s all have a good time feeling.  The last week of July brings some sense of hard work and responsibility along with a Venus-Neptune  desire to be doing something else entirely.  You’ll be likely to skip work and go hang out at the beach.  Or get into your studio and make some art!

VIRGO (AUG 22- SEPT 21)   July is an interesting month, starting off with you wanting to get serious about a project or a relationship.  Meanwhile Rome is burning, but you can’t quite take it in.  That’s okay – it makes you the calm one in the midst of lots of people who are very stressed out.  Then there is a powerful new moon in Cancer on the 8^th with a strong emphasis on the Mercury retrograde.  Mercury is your ruling planet so anything happening to Mercury is important for you.  This pass of Mercury retrograde should be bringing you a lot of insight  and clarity. Especially allow the new moon to focus your intuition. Something is cooking under the surface, and now is a good time to start a new project or plan.  Mars enters Cancer on the 13^th , joining Jupiter for a nice pairing for the rest of the month.  Enjoy this combination – it’s purposeful and fun.  Mercury turns direct on the 20^th.  The 22^nd brings a lot of action: Venus enters your own sign, the Sun enters Leo, and there’s a full moon in Aquarius.  You will be very occupied with people and activity on this full moon.  The last week of the month brings some challenges, juxtaposing of responsibility and wanting to do your own thing. It is a great week for creative inspiration and hard creative work.

LIBRA (SEPT 22-OCT21)  Your biggest problem this month is Mercury retrograde, and honey, that is not a big problem to have!  Well, maybe there are a few other things going on, but nothing that a butch Libra like yourself can’t handle.  (Wait– butch and Libra in the same sentence? I don’t think so!)  Seriously –the world is completely insane and crazy things are happening to people, and there is a level of unpredictability that you hate.  There’s that – but that is mostly the first week of July.   You just have to go with the flow of this Cancer Mercury retrograde, which is deliciously intuitive. The new moon on July 8^th has this Mercury retro all over it, so this would be a good time for you to try to connect with this deep intuition and let it guide you.  Then on the 13^th, Mars enters Cancer and joins up with Jupiter for most of the rest of the month.  This makes for a great time, and also for getting a lot done and having a nice easy sense of movement.  Mercury turns around on the 20^th, and I hope you’re not traveling that day because things will be a mess. The full moon on the 22^nd  highlights  this energy. The last week of the month brings some hard work and at the same it is absolutely great for creative inspiration.  Get into the studio!!

SCORPIO (OCT 22-NOV 21)  Well well.  This month is interesting!  It challenges you to completely go with the flow, not only because Mercury is retrograde til the 20^th but because so many planets move through Cancer, a companion water sign. The month begins with a lot of global intensity and craziness, but the new moon in cancer on the 8^th is a nice one as long as you can handle Mercury. This month, Mercury retrograde is your friend, keeping you a bit cushioned from events that might otherwise bother you.  The new moon is great for helping you harness your intuition about what steps you need to take in your life right now.  Don’t do anything – just let the clarity emerge. And go to the ocean – go talk to your mother (the ocean, I mean).  Mid month, Mars enters Cancer and catches up to Jupiter and we have the influence of those two planets most of the rest of the month.   Nice for getting things done and having fun at the same time.  Mercury goes direct on the 20^th, and on the 22^nd there is a full moon in Aquarius.  The last week of July brings some sense of  duty back to back with just wanting to blow it off and zone out at the movies.

SAGITTARIUS (NOV 22- DEC 21)   July is an interesting month as long as you can go with the flow of Mercury retrograde and stay calm while all your appliances break down…Seriously, this Mercury retrograde is great and also challenging.  It has you unable to make a plan to save your life—you just have to go with it.  Use the new moon on June 8^th to center yourself and harness your intuitive wisdom.  On the 13^th, Mars enters Cancer and catches up to Jupiter. These two planets spend most of the month paired up together, which is really nice for movement, for getting things done, and having fun too. God knows all these things are important to you!   There is a full moon in Aquarius on the 22^nd that spotlights this delightful Mars-Jupiter combination, right after Mercury turns around on the 20^th.  If you’re traveling, be ready for changes! Then, the last week of July brings a slightly stressful sense of responsibility and duty back to back with a yearning for perfection… Could be complicated.  Pay attention to your creativity and to your spiritual practice.

CAPRICORN (Dec 21-Jan19)  Your job this month is to allow your life to be illuminated by all the planets in Cancer. What the heck do I mean by that?  I mean that  as your opposite sign, Cancer has tremendous import for you. It represents the other side of you, your matching self.  This month, the Sun, Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter all spend significant time there, so let all that ocean-y energy wash all over you.  Allow yourself to feel secure, nurtured, well-fed, and protected on a deep emotional level. This month, it isn’t about getting things done. It is about how you feel in your world.  That said, the first week of the month will be challenging and you will feel very unsettled because of all the Uranus-Pluto action.  Then you have to go with the flow of Mercury retrograde in Cancer, and allow yourself to be moved by a delicious undercurrent of intuition, especially on July 8^th  new moon.  Midmonth Mars enters Cancer and catches up to Jupiter. Nice! They spend most of  the month  paired up, facilitating work and play and fun. Enjoy the full moon in Aquarius on the 22^nd and it isn’t until the last week of July that you should feel compelled to get serious again…

AQUARIUS (JAN 20-FEB 19)  This stretch of Mercury retrograde is throwing you for a bit of a loop – it is as if your normally sturdy emotional shields are down.  It is hard for you to defend yourself and you take things more to heart right now.

Keep in mind that this Mercury retrograde is in Cancer – and in fact, many planets are in Cancer this month – and there is no sign more different from yours than Cancer (and also Virgo…more on that some other time!)  So you’re a bit vulnerable.  Keep that in mind at least until July 20^th when Mercury turns around.  All of the Cancerian energy highlights for you what’s really important in relationships.  It’s important for you to feel loved and secure right now, so let people take care of you, okay?  Meanwhile, the Cancerian planets also bring you some joy and shared purpose once Mars enters Cancer on the 13^th and pairs up with Jupiter.   You’ll have fun whatever you’re doing and you’ll get some good work done as well as have fabulous celebratory meals with friends and family.  You might want to celebrate after the 20^th, in fact, when Mercury straightens out, or on the 22^nd when there is a big full moon in Aquarius.  Be sure to have fun.

PISCES (FEB 20-MAR 19)   Water water everywhere…. Lots of planets are in Cancer, a fellow water sign, and Mercury is retrograde in Cancer til the 20th.  This is the ultimate in watery go-with-the-flow, so what can you do but go with it.  Don’t worry of you can’t get things done – there’s no point in trying.   They’ll get done a bit later in the month… There is a powerful new moon on July 8^th which has Mercury’s imprint all over it – this is a great lunation for intuition and inspiration.  The on the 13^th, Mars enters Cancer and catches up to Jupiter. Those two planets pair up for most of the month, and that is pretty damn delightful for things moving easily and getting things done.  Just keep in mind that all this Cancerian energy has you quite sensitive and emotionally expressive.  Let the tears come.  Water is good!  Then Mercury turns around on the 20^th and on the 22^nd, the Sun enters Leo and we have a big full moon in Aquarius.  Enjoy it; have a party. The work comes the last week of July, which will be a great time to get in the studio.

ARIES (MAR 20-APRIL19)   Mercury is retrograde in Cancer til the 20^th, and what a delicious watery retrograde  it is, heavy on that deep ocean kind of intuition. Just go with it (as if you have a choice!)  So many planets are in Cancer this month and that really puts your focus on connections, family, lineage, and nurturance.  It is a really good month for you to feel part of your family, whether it is a family of origin or one you’ve created, and to celebrate that sense of connection.  You are stressed at the start fo the month because who isn’t, really… under these influences, but it soon shifts.  Use the new moon on the 8^th to focus your intuition and generate some ideas.  Mars enters Cancer on the 13^th, pairing with Jupiter for most of the month, which is delightful for things moving easily in joyful purpose. Mercury turns around on the 20^th, so if you’re traveling, that day could be messy, as could the 22^nd , the day of the full moon in Aquarius.  The full moon is all about having a good time, so enjoy.  Things get serious during the last week of the month when responsibilities hit you like a ton of bricks (sorry!) and at the same time you’re yearning for completion and change.   This is a stressful combination, so try not to be hard on yourself.

TAURUS (APR 20-MAY 20)   Ahh.  Breathe.  The beginning of  July has the world in spasms of craziness, and you have a deep internal focus to get something particular accomplished.  A Taurus on a mission is a scary thing!   The challenge is to use this Mercury retrograde in an effective way so you’re not taken off track by being annoyed.  This stretch of Mercury retrograde in Cancer is very deep, very much the essence of going with the flow of your deepest intuition.  Just follow these subterranean rivers of inspiration and you’ll be fine.  The new moon on July 8^th is very powerful and has Mercury’s mark all over it.  If you’re writing or working on some creative project, really utilize it.  Then on the 13^th, Mars enters Cancer and joins forces with Jupiter pretty much all month.  This is great for things going well and accomplishing things easily.  It’s a great month!  Mercury turns around on the 20^th so try not to travel that day, or the 22^nd, the day of the full moon.  At the end of the month you will be able to wrestle with a creative project and feel like you make headway.

GEMINI (MAY 21-JUNE 20)  I have two words for you:  Mercury retrograde.  It’s your ruling planet, honey!  This Mercury retrograde is in Cancer – along with a pigpile of other planets—and it is the quintessential watery go-with-the-flow kind of Mercury retrograde.  No linear thoughts may apply.  Seriously – this is a month for you to completely go with intuition and inspiration even if it feels crazy.  Speaking of crazy, the world feels and is crazy during the first week of July so don’t be surprised if you’re keyed up.  There is a lot of unpredictability right now.  There is also a serious side to how you’re feeling – you’re looking to commit to something but don’t know what.  Don’t even worry about this – it passes quickly.  Use the beautiful new moon on the 8^th for inspiration—it has Mercury’s mark all over it.  Then on the 13^th, Mars enters Cancer and teams up with Jupiter all month. Nice!  This is a great combination for ease and movement so you will have a good time and have a sense of purpose.  However, keep in mind that all these planets in cancer make you weepy and mushy as hell.  Let yourself cry – it’s okay. Mercury goes direct on the 20^th, and then the Sun enters Leo on the 22^nd and we have a big full moon in Aquarius.  Conviviality is in order.  Things get serious at the end of the month when you have have some stress and a deep sense of responsibility.  Go easy on yourself.
